I absolutely love it Thankyou for taking the time to show us with fantastic clear instructions going to look forward to trying to give this ago. I will work out how to send a photo of the finished flower dog and flower bowl. Love your work .Thankyou again 😀👍👍
Thank you. Your kind words and direct guidance are both equally appreciated. I made a sunflower as you described for a friend- but it's about 2 feet across and currently 10 feet tall... Thank you again.
As a fairly experienced blacksmith, and a novice welder, I got some great ideas from this video. Many thanks! Mine won't look too much like yours, but you definitely gave me some ideas.
@@BarbieTheWelder Still using your roller chain pot technique; I've been filling it with ball bearings lightly tacked together. Lots of nice comments from people visiting the gallery my work is in. Thanks again!
Absolutely amazing! Is there any way possible you’d be willing to make the pieces for a template and sell/ send them? I’m not the best welder in the world, but I can hold my own with the same Miller 211! I don’t have the right combination of tools to make the pieces, but I can definitely tackle the welding portion just fine. Let me know please, I’ve been dying to make a decent sunflower, and this video of yours gave me the inspiration and the “okay, I can do this” mentality.
I’ll think about it! I was selling these metal art welding kits that I designed but now other people have designed the same ones and are all over the place but I have some other things like that sunflower project that I still have that would be a really fantastic kit to sell. Let me think on this, and stay tuned please! Thank you so very much for this question! I appreciate you!
I love this and I wanna do this for my mother because she loves sunflowers but I had one quest when your welding and doing a spot weld how long do you do them for? Like how long do you hold it if that makes sense?
It depends on the circle size. Find and print out a picture of a sunflower you like and use the measurements so the circle and the pedals are in proper proportion to each other.
@@BarbieTheWelder I built one previously BASED off everything I saw but I'm going for a smaller scale for someone's birthday so. I have pictures of the first one I built if you have an email I'd be glad to forward em.

Barbie sigo siendo el más fiel de tus fans 😘😘
I was just looking at a coil of roofing nails and thought, that would make an incredible sunflower head.

I welded flowers like that. At least they don’t wither, and I don’t have to worry about changing soil😅

Done like a tack weld very quickly
What is the material and measurements
Steel and 3”
Barbie, great project. What size air compressor do you use? I tried using a right-angle grinder and a 14.5 cfm@90 air compressor and it bogged down.
I’m using an 80 gallon but a 60 gallon will work perfectly! About $600 at tractor supply.
How big is the circle?
1.5”
👏👏👏
Thank you kindly!
How long and how wide were your pedals?
It depends on the circle size. Find and print out a picture of a sunflower you like and use the measurements so the circle and the pedals are in proper proportion to each other.
