I loved this! I’m an English Longbowman. I would really like to give welding a try. You are the prettiest welder I’ve ever seen 😊 … they usually have 2 foot beards😂. Cheers
🤣😂😜 Thank you!! Definitely give it a try if you’re drawn to it! I have a free guide on my website that will answer any questions you have in getting started!
Barbie , Love your videos , I spent most of my career as a field mechanic for a Cat Dealer , I can only weld good enough to get by when repairing equipment. I have learned tons from your videos !!!! My daughter also works in a male dominated profession, she is very good at taking ego driven comments with a grain of salt. She has taught me a lot about a lot of things :) Please keep making videos and working as a welder !!!
Hello Barbie, Thank you for your site. Just found you on Utube. I am a 63 year old retired male Nurse. Have been Gathering Info on Welding table builds. Enjoyed your videos. Your Dad must be proud. I have a 30 year old daughter who's just finishing her MSW. I'm sure I'll write again, Kevin H.
Hello! I'm a novice, a "newbee", and an "old geezer" to boot! This project has given me a LOT of inspiration. I watched your story and am REALLY impressed with the determination you've exhibited to reach professional status. Keep up the GREAT work....I'm a solid "Barbie" fan now! Keep these super videos coming please....
Just found your channel and I am learning a lot. I am a beginning art welder. I weld dragonflies, butterflies, and flowers. My wife and I attend four art shows a year and have a small gallery. She is the real artist of the family. Thanks for your easy to follow videos.
I’m so happy they help! I also have a how to weld art book called Horseshoe Crafts and I’m working on another book currently that will be available by the end of October! Thank you kindly for watching my videos!!💙👩🏭
Waaaay cool and nicely done. I'm a long-time woodworker recently converted to a metal art welder. Enjoying it immensely. Never expected to like it SOOO much. Many thanks for the vid!
Great project! Always admired artistic ability. Mostly structural steel & light auto body repair welding here. All as a hobbyist now...Thanks for sharing!
I started MIG welding 2 years ago, and wish i had seen a video like yours much earlier :-). Getting a air driven "die grinder" was a big step forward for me - so much easier to control. Didn't know about the pencil grinder - have to try that one as well. Thanks for the video - well done. Pretty sure you meant stainless steel "silverware" but glad you clarified :-)
I like your work and videos. I am starting to make some scrap art too and your step by step instructions are very helpful. I found using some welding magnets from Harbor freight helps hold the pieces together so I can spot weld easier
I totally love you for sharing your knowledge and projects in detail with us. I'm about to receive my first TIG equipment to learn and make my own projects and you are such an inspiration. much love an respect for you!
Awesome! I like how you explain with show & tell demonstration from start to finish. I haven’t done any utensil type of art work yet, just ordered a lot of utensils from eBay. Not a metal artist but I recently did a hex nut & a turtle project, which to my surprise turned out great, and my wife decided to keep them both. Aloha & thanks for sharing your how to project.
@@BarbieTheWelderIt went well. Still new at welding. Followed your instructions. Just used a piece of red/white network wire for the string, twisted to give it a candy cane effect. 😄 Perfect for xmas. She'll love it!
I just found your channel. You do amazing work! I have been binge watching your vids and have been inspired to take on a part of welding I never even considered. Thank you so much for the videos!
I listened to your story about how you got started plasma cutting and welding, you mentioned you had absolutely no support and no one believed in you, but you knew in your heart what your passion was, and had this talent in your soul. I’m amazed at your story and your talent. You have proven all those people wrong. Good for you. I have a similar story, with no support and became a car painter, but because it was mainly a mans world and women weren’t in this line of work no one believed in me, but I proved them all wrong and followed my heart and passion. I am now retired and am interested in plasma art and welding. I watch your videos and give me inspiration. I’m 58 years young and love learning new things. Thank you for sharing your story, and very beautiful artistic talent. Love your passion. Always be true to yourself, and believe in you, never ever listen to what people say you can’t do. I love to bow target as well. I only fish, but love to do archery.
Hi Barbie! You've inspired my daughter to create some pieces from forks and spoons! My question is about spot welding stainless steel forks and spoons with flux core wire on the MIG welder without the use of gas. Is this possible? If heard differing opinions. Any thoughts you have would be most appreciated! Your projects are so creative!
Can you tell me what machine and tools I should buy if I want to learn how to weld yard art? Also do you have a video with a step by step instructions?
Very very nice!!! FYI, I just ordered the horseshoe book from Amazon, promise to review it (if it's good, which I suspect it is), and followed ya on farcebook, and subscribed to your youtube. Thanks for all the cool videos.
Silly question. For someone who has never welded, is there another technique to provide the same stability in connecting the metals? I don’t suppose soldering would do the trick? And if not, what (Inexpensive) beginner welding machine would you recommend? Thank you in advance
ive only just started this and went mad buying loads of cutlery off charity shops and ebay not really sure what cutlery you can weld i tried the stick welder but it just burned up the metal,im now using the mig its a lot better but i cant seem to get the right setting (must try harder) as my teacher used to tell me .im using gasless cored mig wire any suggestions would be helpful thanks
I have difficulty recognising what material cutlery is i did some yesterday welded it with the Mig found out later it was brass never thought that would weld wierd would the magnet test work on cutlery ?
Re Silc, It totally depends on what welder you have, what size wire you are running, what type of gas you are using and a few other things. I always suggest using some similar size scapes to tune your welder if you are a beginner and just trying to figure it all out. Hope that helps.
Hi Barbie, If I recall correctly, did you say you use a tumbler to clean parts to remove something so they are not toxic when you weld them ? If so can you briefly touch on that subject Thanks and great work and thanks for teaching us some of your skills
I’m interested in trying some of the silverware sculptures but know very little about welding. I have a Harbor Freight store not too far away. Was wondering what kind of welder to use and what settings you use?
+Atticus Draco I actually started him a year ago! I've been putting him off because he is my own design and not a order for a client. I am just about caught up on custom orders so I should be able to work on him this week! I'll post a video of my next step!! Thanks!!💙👩🏭

Question about your mig setup, wire feed speed, heat setting, flux core or gas? Nice work and great instructions, thanks.
I've done a lot of flatware art. It's really quick. I prefer Tig welding over mig welding because the welds can be .030 wide.
Very nice project.
Love it x

Tack welding with flux core works just the same as gas mig, just more smokey 😉
I like it
A proper welding table and I love it,what can you tell me about those welding gloves(Power of Blue)?Nice green shamrock tattoo for good luck!
+Zoran Bilbiloski Miller heavy duty MIG gloves that I love!! I'm super tough on gloves and these actually have lasted a while.
Can you tell me what machine and tools I should buy if I want to learn how to weld yard art? Also do you have a video with a step by step instructions?
Depending on the size of the art you want to make.

Not silly at all!! amzn.to/3oXbNVm is an inexpensive and easy welding machine that will allow you to weld a wide variety of projects!
I used to buy spoons by the hundreds from Goodwill for welded flowers and almost cleaned out 4 stores worth for a whole summer.
+Bob Stout lol yes me too!!! They can’t figure out why I go through so many!😜
ive only just started this and went mad buying loads of cutlery off charity shops and ebay not really sure what cutlery you can weld i tried the stick welder but it just burned up the metal,im now using the mig its a lot better but i cant seem to get the right setting (must try harder) as my teacher used to tell me .im using gasless cored mig wire any suggestions would be helpful thanks
+casper1240 that should work as long as your have enough heat and your welding stainless steel silverware
I have difficulty recognising what material cutlery is i did some yesterday welded it with the Mig found out later it was brass never thought that would weld wierd would the magnet test work on cutlery ?
+casper1240 Most is Stainless Steel so not on that or on silver plated only the cheaper steel stuff.
As usual, great!, kisses
You have an infectious smile
You have to eat with your fingers as you make great artwork from your cutlery at that pace🥰💙
🤣😉
Nice
Thank you! Are you new to Welding art or have you been creating for a while now?
I can't wait to try this. I wonder if my wife will notice the missing silverware?
🤣🤣🤣she will if she’s anything like my kids who definitely noticed!🤣🤣🤣
I love it,
+Andrew Paulson Thank you!😊
Very much enjoy your videos... thanks . What wire do you use on the silverware? We ER70s-6 work?
I use .030 er70s-6 It’s steel wire but will weld stainless steel silverware. When I’m finished I use a clear coat spray paint made for metal.
Can you mentioned amps and wire speed etc when you do these? Great work. Thanks!
Re Silc, It totally depends on what welder you have, what size wire you are running, what type of gas you are using and a few other things. I always suggest using some similar size scapes to tune your welder if you are a beginner and just trying to figure it all out.

Ya me gustaría tener un taller como el Tullo yo también tengo buenas manos con los hierros
Brilliant job I'll have to try make one myself!
Hi, did you use Argon or any gas for welding ?, or just the MIG machine?
75/25 with the MIG argon with tig
❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like one of Peggy hills sculptures
Your awesome:)
I’m interested in trying some of the silverware sculptures but know very little about welding. I have a Harbor Freight store not too far away. Was wondering what kind of welder to use and what settings you use?
A mig welder with gas that runs on 110. amzn.to/3qz6adA
Eres ARTE.🌹🙏🏽❤️👌🏾
👍 thank you
good vid thanks ive done a lot of welding with mild steel etc only jut started welding cutlery findin git a bit tricky any tips ?
+casper1240 TIG weld and only use stainless steel silverware. Silverplate wont weld for nothing!
MIG is so fast and precise, but requires gas for best results, from what I've read. Could this type of precise work be done with arc/stick welding?
as a recommendation:
I'd like to see the end result of that dragon you started a month or so back
