- Tsunami2 Digital Sound Decoders have multiple function outputs so you can add lights to your models. The method you use for wiring your lights will vary slightly based on decoder format. Here our product expert, George Bogatiuk, walks you through the process of adding lights to our different decoder formats.
GG,
Decoder modeling 101: What a useful cool class, can't wait to install my first light in one of my locos. Thanx for the tips. U-da-Maan!!! Thanx Thom...
Its nice that all your decoders are so versatile when it comes to lights.
We are glad that you are enjoying them!
Never knew you can just thread a resistor through there. Awesome thanks for the tip
Glad to help. Let us know if you have any questions!
Hi George,
If you don't want to mess around with resistors you can now get various types of 12V LEDs. I've used some on a German loco & they work great.
Good to note!
Good job! Well, I am an old dumb guy, I just want to know how to hook up LED lights, just forward & reverse with MC1H102P8 decoders? I have 4 of them and they work great and do all I want. I don't need to run on DC and I don't need a gazillion lighting functions! I have 2 in Proto 2K's and 3 in various Atlas locos.I plan on using many more cause they are Cheep!

Only using LEDs today. Max 2 volts.
Could I use a common wire to wire all negative leads to the 1.5v or would you recommend multiple wires wired to that connection?
you can use 1 common, but would be better off splitting it to 2 from the 1.5V tab.
SoundTraxx alrighty. Now if i have the front ditch lights should I add desperate wires for those as well?
@@chrisp.bacon_exe you can wire on side of the bulbs together with the common. If the ditch lights are going to flash, the will need to go to separate FX outputs.
