Your videos are essential especially when challenged to navigate the manual. And I UST say, programing was daunting! However, like any aspect of modeling, or only does programing become easier, the world of sound transforms my experience of train runnin. LOVIN IT! Thanks George!
You can program option key by setting it to 122 and it will operate the Functions 10 -19 and 20 to 29. When you set cab number just keep going to 6 set to Program Option Key change to 122. Have a great day.
Yes, that is a custom setting that you can do with the NCE Powercab. All of our trade show demos have this set, but we did not mention it in the video because users may want other functions assigned to the OPTION Key. Shift-0 works on all NCE Powercab and Procab throttles with 28 functionality. Other DCC systems also have different ways of accessing the higher F# functions. Thank you!
I've been unable to get any function key re-mappings to take on a TSU-2200. Sent a note to help desk. About to bugger with 33-46 to 0 in case that's it. Also am doing this on the main - does that present any issues? i.e. do I need to be on a programming track?
If you emailed our Support Department (support@soundtraxx.com) they should get back to you soon. You can program on the main just make sure that you don't have multiple locomotives with the same address when you do this. If you need to you can call our Support Team as well at (970)259-0690.
If your model is equipped with Tsunami2, contact our Support Team and they can walk you through the process: (970)259-0690 ext. 22 or support@soundtraxx.com.
Is there a way to have a function turn on with two different buttons? For example, have my number boards come on with the headlights but also have the ability to turn them on separately by themselves?
The airhorn CV is 120. Set it to 39 for this. You can find this info in your User's Guide or Sound Selection Reference on our website: soundtraxx.com/reference/manuals/
To access Indexed CVs setting CV32 to 1, 2, or 3 takes care of the 1. 2. Or 3 part of the CV. For more info watch our videos on Indexed CVs: ua-cam.com/video/nv2XFr60zwg/v-deo.html&
Aftermarket Tsunami2 decoders are defaulted with RPM+ on F5 and RPM- on F6. RPM+ function mapping is CV 1.285. You set the value to the function key you want to control the effect so for F5 set it to a value of 5. RMP- is CV 1.286. So if I wanted to add a cab light that was on only when stopped in both directions. How would I do that on the new DDA40X decoder?

An effect can be controlled by any button, but only one button. One button can control more than one effect.

This is when having the Decoder Pro program installed on your computer and being able to directly change CVs
Decoder pro can help sometimes, but nothing replaces knowing how to use the CVs!
So, how can I change notch up notch down from f26 and f27 to f5 and f6?
