Top 10 PG 1. Magic 2. Steph 3. Thomas 4. Oscar 5. Kidd 6. CP3 7. Stockton 8. Payton 9. Nash 10. Frazier Kidd is the best all around point guard. can play on and off the ball. can play in any system unlike nash who was only great with the d'antoni system. second best defender after payton. lockdown defender and can guard players 5 inches taller than him. third best at passing the ball after magic and stockton. doesnt always rely on pick and roll to get his assist. second all time in assist and steals behind stockton. top 10 in 3 pointers made. longevity and still making teams better including his last season with the knicks where they won 50+ games. 17 straight years he played in the postseason. 3 finals appearances and won 1 championship. one of the best rebounding point guards who was a consistent triple double threat in a slow paced era where there were bigman in the paint.
I went to his rival high school 3 of the same years and then followed him at CAL (University of California at Berkeley ;) to see his 2 years there (Beat Duke in the NCAAs!) Jason was amazing to watch and I was happy to see him transcend to such a high level in the NBA. I'm a Warriors fan and love Steph, I have much love for (and jealousy when I was growing up as a Warriors fan!) for Magic but Jason is my all-time point guard for his triple-double threat. He found the ball by steal or rebound better and faster than anyone I've watched and gave it up to teammates in the most creative and dominant fashions. Not known as a shooter coming out of school, i found it funny that at some point in the league history, he sat at 3rd all -time in makes for a point guard! (pre-Steph!)
Jason Kidd was and probably still is one of the best passers in BB. His no looks were nasty😂 After Kidd went to the Suns, his personal life and choices started having him stagnate on the court. He seemed to stop growing. Nash's style on the Suns used to be annoying for some fans to watch, because he played like a a super happy golden retriever, seemed disingenuous/overly exaggerated excitement etc to some, but unlike many he had a goal and was always working to improve towards it. Regardless be it at the gym or on the court? Kidd really did make the game exciting with his passing style that Chuck and others HATED 😂 It kept his team as well as the opponents on their toes, there was no walking back the other way cuz he could create a pass out of a sliver opening while never taking his eyes off those guarding him or fake a pass and take the shot😂 Fun to watch 100% even if he never evolved to his full potential or greatness.
To answer some of your questions: He played with Dirk from 2008-12 and won a title with Dirk in 2011. He played with Steve Nash from 1996-1998, they were on the Phoenix Suns together.
Man 94 mavs coulda been something real with kidd mashburn and Jackson. They was all just young and idk how they had the Rookie of the year, kidd and 2 guys who averaged 20+ And only was winning 20+ points.
When Kidd retired he was top three in steals, assists and triple doubles. The best rebounding guard ever. Not borderline at all, Kidd is top 5 point guards all time. He was a walking triple double.
He also never played on the Mavericks with Steve Nash and Dirk at the same time. Nash played with Dirk first, from 1999-2004. Jason Kidd would eventually be traded from the Nets to the Mavericks in 2008-09(?).
Jason Kidd was an mvp caliber player at his peak and went to two finals on average teams as a past first player. He was the triple double king of the modern era before Westbrook. He’s the all time leader in rebounds for guards with over 8000, and he’s the 2nd all time leader in ast and stls only behind Stockton. Not to mention the chip in Dallas and taking the knicks to their only playoff birth of the 2010s right before he retired. Yeah he’s absolutely too 10. Nothing borderline about it. Lol we can’t say cp is top 10 but kidd has nearly the same resume and a chip to match.
Kidd and dirk was great I remember 2011 watching them smash the championship lakers But tbh I wish kidd never left he was my fav player as a kidd. I would love to have seen j Kidd, Nash, dirk, Michael Finley, josh Howard j terry all in the early 00s on the mavs But to me Kidd is better than cp3, Nash and Maybe behind Stockton I’d have kidd at 2nd. Been to 3 chips and finally won as a starter at 38
Jason Kidd is DEFINITELY a top 10 point guard all time. I’ll make a list and you guys can judge me I don’t care lol 1. Magic Johnson 2. Oscar Robertson 3. Steph Curry 4. Isiah Thomas 5. John Stockton 6. Jason Kidd 7. Chris Paul 8. Steve Nash 9. Gary Payton 10. Tony Parker That’s my list. Now hate on it 😆
Walt Frazier> TP. He was a greater individual talent and he’s got rings. Tp has a lot of rings but outside of that Frazier got him beat. Cousy for honorable mention
Jason was a 6'4 Magic Johnson in his New Jersey days
Kidd might be my personal favorite pure PG ever.. definitely top 10 all time.. no doubt.
Nash played behind Kidd in Phoenix. And won a Championship with Dirk against LeBron.

Top 10 in threes is crazy since he started his career as “ason Kidd” no J. He was great and adapted his play style to go out a champion.

He played with Jimmy Jackson and Jamal Mashburn. Promising team that broke up over Toni Braxton. Real talk.
Man 94 mavs coulda been something real with kidd mashburn and Jackson. They was all just young and idk how they had the Rookie of the year, kidd and 2 guys who averaged 20+ And only was winning 20+ points.

He’s 2nd All Time in Assists and 2nd All Time in steals behind John Stockton in both categories.
He also never played on the Mavericks with Steve Nash and Dirk at the same time. Nash played with Dirk first, from 1999-2004. Jason Kidd would eventually be traded from the Nets to the Mavericks in 2008-09(?).
I mean but kidd played with Nash before Nash played with dirk.
@@TheIcemanthomas right, but he was asking if Kidd ever played with both of them together.
