      Some of if not the most beautiful team basketball ever played in NBA league history. 2nd maybe to only the '86 Celtics IMHO I began watching that Kings team in the '98-99 strike shortened season solely because Webber got traded there and he was my favorite player back then. I had NBA league pass in my 1st apartment I had on Las Vegas' westside and I never missed a single game till the day they traded Web away. Truly remarkable memories from those days and that team never even won a title. The Western conference finals in 2002 against the Lakers was basically the NBA championship to anybody who knew anything about basketball because the Kings would have swept that Nets team just as easily as the Lakers did had they gotten a chance to be there. Man I miss that NBA and can you imagine what they would have done to these clowns nowadays. Oh my goodness...

    You can find a video of Shaq saying that he had the most fun playing with Jason Williams. Shaq said he could get in the paint and throw his arms up in the ball just be in his hand because JWill put it there.
    His job was to get the ball up the court and into the hands of the shooters. He accepted his supporting role, did it with pride, and made it beautiful. He was really special.

  • @blowc1612
    @blowc1612 3 роки тому +2

    Yup JWill made the elbow pass famous. When that happened everyone was doing that move. You basically place it in your back with your dribbling hand and twist with your body for the elbow to hit in the direction you want.
    Jus FYI that Sacramento Kings team revolutionized the game and GSW Curry/Kerr offense were based off that free flowing offense. Before then it was an era of 2-3 players touching the ball on offense, they were the first team were basically everyone touches the ball in every possession that is something you today.

    That's why it's referred as the golden age of basketball. The players that era had CRAZY creativity and flare! People that say plumbers and janitors are totally oblivious to how great this era of basketball really was. The infamous elbow pass was pulled out of nowhere and shocked EVERYONE, even the guy who caught the pass lol.

    The 90s and early 2000s were the best. Every team had a star player that wasnt like anyone else. So many specialist back then. Same today, only they all play similar. This was more diverse.

    As mentioned yup I knew elbow pass was coming ..as a 47 yr old I remember Jwill as Chris Weber called him . By far probably the most entertaining player as far as incredible passes were concerned and handles . Chris Weber said he waa the one player he would want on his team . What's more amazing is a clip of Jwill playing at age 40 he still has it and he's humble

    J-Will and Webber are my favourite players of all time. Williams is so underrated for what he did for the stars around him.
    Webber, Peja, Gasol, Shaq, Wade. He made those dudes better. He didn't put up monster stats, but nobody ever complained about playing with white chocolate.

    This video doesn't show it but he was the best ball handler I ever saw. He made everything look so smooth and effortless. I've never his style before or since. He also was shooting 3's on the fast break 5+ feet behind the 3 point line before it was cool.
