- While Fred Erben's 1962 Ford Falcon is nothing special in terms of performance, it is one of the finest restorations I have seen.
As a hot rodder, Fred built many cars during the last 20 years, but at his age he wanted something that is already restored, and requires no work. This 1962 Ford Falcon, a rust free Arozina car was the perfect match, and Fred has no regrets.
Fred shares, that the car looks as clean underneath, and besides the wheels he changed, the 1962 Ford Falcon only needs new bumpers and steering wheel. Whoever restored the car, has even changed the color, but there is no evidence apart of the data plate.
The 1962 Fred Falcon interior feels like a time capsule, it still has its original Ford-O-Matic 2-speed automatic transmission, but the powerplant has been swapped during the restoration. The Ford Falcon factory 144 engine is replaced with a 200 six cylinder.
If you own a hot rod like Fred's beautifully restored 1962 Ford Falcon and want to share your car story, don't hesitate to email me at: danny@hot-cars.org

Very nice ride.
It’s a sweet cruiser. Glad you enjoyed the story
Looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Not the fastest car we have featured, but a real beauty
Plymouth Valiant's arch-enemy!😠 Nice car and video, my friend👍
Thanks buddy
My uncle's 1962 Ford Falcon is sitting in his garage, and I'm going to fix it with my 80-year-old grandfather!
That's the right thing to do. Put it back on the road where it belongs
@@HotAmericanCars Hello I have restored my 1962 Ford Falcon into driving condition it has a all new engine, sparkplubs, radiator all the good stuff with help from my grandpa he is now 81,and my uncle has all kinds of receipts on where it went adn got things changed. so the car has some really cool information on it,and its sitting infront of my Current Car in my driveway,I plan on learning to drive it and take it out to car shows every now and then its just pretty cool,it dont have a huge V8 but the body and looks is still amazing on this first generation car.
my 62 is hiding in my garage,,ill find it soon🙄
I'm building a 62 right now, any way I could possibly get the wheel and tire specs you used on this rig? I'd very much appreciate it.
Sorry brother, Fred never told me what’s the wheel/tire set up
Put the correct wheel back on.
It’s whatever makes the owner happy
@@HotAmericanCars I have owned several of the first series Falcon and one 1961 Comet. What does a restored Falcon 60-63 1/2 go for? Retired now, I might be able to afford it.
@@jeffreynelson2660 Not sure, as the prices changed a lot since the inflation went crazy. But definitely one of the most affordable old Fords
