the relationship between the mother in law and the daughter is amazingly touching :)))) they should win an award or something! i've never seen anything like it. the mother in law said she isn't her daughter in law, but her daughter. and they really seem to love what they do.... eating here one day is definitely on my bucket list.
Had the pleasure of dining at their newer, larger establishment back in 2015. Every member of the family you see here in the show was there and I was fortunate to meet them all. The passion they have for what they are doing is unmatched, and the food really is spectacular in every way. Many of the dishes are traditional, so I've had them before, but Prashad manages to elevate each dish while preserving the authenticity. Truly a revelation. Bobby mentioned their efforts to work towards more refinement in plating and simple things like offering homemade Ice Cream as a bit of an entremezzo.
What a lovely family! I had a Chinese and a Thai restaurant run by families just like this and they were absolutely my favorite places..such a pleasure to say hello to the nice folks as well as enjoy delicious food
LOL Chaat is a street food here in India, it's usually seldom prepared by any restaurants. And the way they made the chaat it seemed to taste great, I say this because it's really hard to fuck up chaat's taste, at best it'll taste meh
I ate at Prashad and met all members of the family during my trip to the UK back in 2015. From the Chaat, to the Pethis, to the Thali, everything was perfect in texture, flavor, richness, and presentation. Meeting the family was quite surreal and they are no different in person than they were on this show. Incredibly hands-on, passionate, and lively.
A perfectly blended garam-masala is the heart of Indian cooking as far as masala dishes are concerned. When she said I make my own garam-masala, she looked like she knew what she was doing.
Sally Yllas Please eat up those flies for us? Oh no wait, since the time you came to India, you took our flies away. Now they keep buzzing around you. Gross.
Sally Yllas Racist!? Haha, and alright I will be polite as fuck. Sire/Madam, what do you even know about racism? I was never racist to you. I just mocked you over your comment. That's it. You mock us; you get mocked. Simple. Namastay. 🙏🏼
Sally Yllas Lol. What made me a racist? Haha. Some bitch sitting in some corner of the world judges our country. There are flies, but that's not common. People as narrow minded as you, depress me. Please keep you stereotypical opinion with you, yeah? Better.
I am an indian, live in Delhi, these samosas are nowhere close to what we have here. Totally different shape and filling. I dont know how these samosas taste. cheers to owners for all the love they put in the food they prepare.
Tavga Hawramy they seem quickly prepared because you're watching it in a 3 min video, I'd recommend you to maybe watch the whole process or try making it.

I agree with you that the food they serve is amazing, but that's the sort of food they served is served everywhere you can find Gujrati's....everywhere!!!😁😁
Tip for anyone visiting india: Although this looks good at this restaurant I do not recommend eating the street food version in india. While it is delicious your stomach will hate you later.
+Hank Moody The same can be said for eating street food in nearly any country that would be foreign for you. We are all more sensitive to food cooked abroad, that's why it's so common for tourists around the globe to get upset stomachs. It's because of local bacteria. the bactiera in your homeland is something your immune system has gotten accustomed to through your whole life, but if you go abroad then the local bacteria will be slightly different and your immune system won't handle it as well as it normally would.
Helena Nilsson same i am eating street food most of the time in india ..but my stomach never get upsate.... by the way i love too eat delhi chaat and dahipuri is my favourite....
I Wear Gulshan Tejani Ratanshi Oval Egg Shape Glasses Surname All Ratanshi Family Everyday I Eat Everything Vegetables Fish Chicken And Lamb Just Like My Mom Shams💕 Surname Ratanshi
I am really sorry Chef. But Chaat is not a gujrati dish. Originality of the chaat is untraceable through out India. Each province in India has the same dish presented in their own local way. Please get it right
+Hotel Management Dharamsinh Desai University This is a cooking show, not a lecture in anthropology. As long as they're wearing gloves when preparing, I don't give a damn where they're from.
Hotel Management Dharamsinh Desai University Hello Jackass! I being a Gujarati know how chats are presented and made in Gujarat and this is exactly the way it's done! That's why they mentioned it to be Gujarati. #FactOnYourFuckingFace

Most Indians are like this. Grandmothers are your mothers too, no such thing as mother in laws in Indian terminology - that's all western terminology.

What a lovely family! I had a Chinese and a Thai restaurant run by families just like this and they were absolutely my favorite places..such a pleasure to say hello to the nice folks as well as enjoy delicious food
Tried this dish here, it is unbelievable, and i'm a meat eater...
And this is no where near as good as you would find in a real Indian restaurant.
^we found a snob here - sometimes original isn't always better.
Jae Park says the one who hasn't tried either.

NO self-respecting Indian cook will use that sort of ersatz stuff!
I am definitely going to that Indian restaurant when I happen to be in the city. What a fantastic team!
They have moved from these premises a few years ago. Now have a much larger place in Drighlington. I have been a couple of times. It is beyond superb
Power of family! So sweet and powerful.
These guys have it good. Most housewives can cook these dishes back in India, but they've turned it into a business opportunity. Kudos to them!
What a cool team. The ladies can cook for sure, and that dude has some style going on.
man, I still think they deserved the win over Casamia
as a indian veggie, I myself havent seen such great presentation here in India. Would love this to be presented in our street food :-)
true, but there are clean spots too.

Their accents make me smile. They really should have won.

Gujarati food esp. the sweets and chaat are great. The Gujarati people in UK are simply doing a great job to make us Indians feel proud.

Does that chat seems amazing? I make better, gordon come taste samosas from my kitchen
I like very hot tings
Im sorry. But chaat is neither Gujarati nor does it look like that. There are so many other ingredients to it. And the samosas look miserable. Im sad.
