My father owns a first gen Nissan Micra since he bought it brand new nearly 30 years ago. He is using it to carry around all the garbage he is gathering from the garden and haven washed it since 2 years or more and the car looks cleaner in the inside then this seat before your detail
Sweet Child of Mine, Guns'n'Roses. Takes me back about 35 years to camping in Devon just sitting on the edge of my teenaged years. No stress, just fun and seemingly endless summers. Life is a whole lot different now than what I could've imagined back then. Experience shapes you, teaches you and helps you grow into who you are now. PS good job on the horse and dog car. My truck never gets this kind of attention so it's in a constant state of before, and the after never quite gets a look in. Cheers
Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" - I had a drill instructor in Boot Camp who would make us sing the chorus whenever someone was being dropped from our platoon(bad attitudes, failed fitness test, failed rifle qualification...). He would perform he leaving recruit's inventory in the squad bay, and he would grab a can of something (brass polish, spray starch, shaving cream...) from the items being inventoried, and bang it on the desk "thump thump thump" and we all had to shout "Another One Bites the Dust!"
One song that takes me right back in time is Refections Of My Life by a Scottish band called Marmalade. Before your time as I first heard it in 1970. My brother had the record and played it a lot in his bedroom. He was 18 then. A few months later my beautiful brother was killed in a car accident. The song takes me back to when he was still here. I still miss him every day.
I’m old so one song that always takes me back to being a kid in the car with the Mom is “Feeling That Way” by Journey. I don’t know why it just does. Big ole Chrysler Newport ‘72 sedan. That thing was huge.
“Here comes the sun” by The Beatles. I was born a couple of months before this song came out in one of the worst winters this country has known. Me mam had just come to this country from hotter climes and couldn’t believe the weather. Struggling with a new born in a new country in one of the worst winters, probably wasn’t the best thing to do but back in those days people didn’t moan or ask for help, they just knuckled down and got on with it. This song put a smile on so many faces as the weather warmed up and so did the people. When I think of the sacrifices she made together with all the hard work my parents put in to give us the best future we could ever hope for, it makes me weep 😢 Really enjoyed the video. That motor was mingin man! You’ve done a top job there lad, all credit to you. Hope you paid a decent wage for that one.
Song: Judy Collins "My Father". I first heard it as a young man after my father and I had not talked since I was a teen. After years of separation, listening to the lyrics made me call him out of the blue. Our relationship was rebuilt, and we got to be good friends. He died in 2000, and any time I hear "My Father", I am always taken back to a time when he was still around, and he was my friend. And like in the song, "Saw the Paris sun set in my father's eyes", I am reminded of my father who had grand plans that, as an adult, I learned not all of us can achieve, even when, in our younger days as parents, we are sure we will. Life happens, I learned; and like me, my parents were not perfect. I learned to accept that, and came to admire and love them all the more.
I just listened to that. It's a lovely song. But your description was even nicer and a fact that I'm learning myself at the moment. It's not always possible to be the perfect parent, just so long as you try to be the best parent you are able to be that's what matters. Thank you for that. 😊
Hardcore Uproar. The starting tune for Tiger Tim on radio clyde on a Saturday morning as I worked in my dad's garage from 7 years old. Fond memories. Now almost 41, out motor trade and loving life. A classic song forever.
You know Gary, it would be awesome if The Detail Geek sent you products to review! You two are the only vehicle detailing channels on UA-camLand, as far as I'm concerned. 🎩
Ammo, car cleaning guru, pan the organiser, forensic detailing channel.....white details (one of the very few elite detailers in the country/world) all worth a look!!
Forensic detailing channel is a cracking channel actually He is more of a review channel but his content is good and he’s easy to watch with no bullshit attitude 🙂
Bit of a minger there Gary, now my tune goes way back to 1980 I was in Cyprus with the Royal Engineers re-furbishing some old guard posts and the song that was high in the charts was " working my way back to you " by the Detroit Spinners , and whenever I hear it today it takes me back to those good times.
A job very well done. The song that brings me back to my late teens is Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight”. It was a time in my life when everything was exactly the way I wanted it to be and I was doing all the things I had dreamed of doing when I was younger.
Dire straits. So far away from me, as the back ramp of the Hercules c130 was lowered down to reveal Sarajevo airport in the middle of the Bosnian war back in the early 90s. It was played over the tannoy system of the Herc. (Here I am again in this mean old town, and your so far away from me) the crew were spot on. 😔😔🇬🇧🇬🇧😔😔 lest we forget.
Nice new edit format Gary 👍🏻 Every time I here ‘she says’ by the Longpigs I think of a U2 concert at Wembley, the then hardly known Longpigs were the first act on stage around lunchtime I recall & they absolutely smashed it, they were amazing 👊🏻 brilliant concert & day out.
Hi Gary, Amy, Moose, hope you are all well. There is a tidy wee car under all that muck. 1970, Freda Payne - Band of Gold; Long hot summer; School hols seemed to go on forever; Best summer ever (almost)! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. ;)
Scatman John... Ski-ba-bop, reminds me of flying into Portugal on my first holiday without my parents! (With my mates parents though!). It was playing as we where excitedly looking out the window!!! (I was about 16/17!) Brilliant durty car vid again!! Keep them flowing👌👍
One song that always takes me back is Amy Grant - Baby Baby.. I remember back to about 1991, I must have been about 5-6 years old and my Nan took me for a Wimpy in Neath (South Wales), just the two of us and that song was piping through the speakers in there. So whenever that song comes on I think of that moment in Wimpy with my Nan.. ☺️ The 90s were so good
This takes me back first holiday to Cornwall song up up and away by the fifth generation 1967 I was 8 big in the charts played repeatedly by radio 2 every time it came me my brother and my sister burst into laughter then proceeded to sing along great memories
That's an awesome song Gary, love Boston but the one song that brings me down memory lane is Lifelines by a-ha, just reminds me of all the trips in norway and it's a great song for when you think of the ones you've lost in life, cheers from Sweden 😊
Great video again Gary! Loved the ASMR on this one, especially on the steam vac carpet clean up. I can see you’re wearing your own branded company clothing in this, have you ever considered selling merch? :)
Oasis, whatever. Takes me back to when I left the army in 1995. When I hear that song it takes me back to that time and I remember the smells and sounds in the air those first few weeks.
Absolutely spot on, great work as ever. They clearly need to protect the cars interior better if they are going to go back to the job.....seat covers, thick rubber mats and full rear seat covers for the dogs.
Simple Minds, Waterfront - learning to drive in 1987, still love it. Or ELO Turn to Stone summer of 1978 on hols in North Yorkshire. Great job as ever.
I would hit the subscribe button again, if this this should be possible. Great job again! Love it and also your realistic view of the situation and how it will be, when the dog-owner-horse-costumer is using this car again... It keeps the customer coming and also we get so quite nice videos mady by you. On my way back home I heard sandstorm by darude again. I always remains me on my first car (polo 86c) and a great summer. Aaaaand, I would love to bring you my golf 1 Cabrio for cleaning! Please start a world tour and come over here! 😁
Something I have done, when a dash and the plastics are really dull is to use Vaseline. I know it sounds contrary to what is called for; but it restores dashes and plastics to nearly new. I was working on a 2006 Chrysler 300 (old long nose, cab forward design) and the dash was filthy and dull. I cleaned it and then let it dry. I then globbed some Vaseline on it, waited about 15 minutes, wiped it off and that dash was like NEW!!! Awesome trick from a website with car cleaning hacks.
Bonny Tyler "I was Lost in France" Way back in 1977, I was backpacking in France at the time and met a wonderful French girl, we hung out together for about three months picking grapes and generally wasting our time, I will never forget her.
I’d have been too embarrassed to have that car cleaned, I’d have taken into a field and burned it. Brass in pocket always reminds me of clubbing around Brum when I was young oik. Great times.
I really want to know how anyone can leave a thums down on these videos garys a grafter showing normal everyday people how to clean there cars and the videos are enjoyable theres no clickbait or anything set up keep up the great work m8
Excellent job of the Seat mate, worked your magic once again, my cousin has a black Ibiza like that one but an estate🙂 I remember first hearing the Spice Girls first hit, can't believe that was 25 years ago
Another fantastic job Gary, I was thinking about the song and I think thunderstruck we used to go mad when they played it at the disco, now I have my son hooked on it 👍👍👍
1971, driving to the beach with a friend's family in their Ford LTD Country Squire land yacht. Each kid got 30 minutes free choice on the cassette player and he had Jethro Tull's Aqualung album. He played the title track last because he knew his parents would hit eject pretty quickly. They must not have been paying attention when Cross-eyed Mary came on. Jethro Tull = vacation.
And a song that brings back memories for me is Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams - it was playing when I walked into the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff at the first British Speedway Grand Prix to be held there. A special moment for me as a Speedway obsessive.
"Sing" by the Carpenters. We learned that song for our Kindergarten "Graduation" and it reminds me of times we sang it in our 1966 Pontiac LeMans. The whole family wound sing whenever it came on the radio
My music memory is Boy's of Summer by Don Henley, reminds me of driving up and down the highway between Del Mar to either San Diego or Los Angeles California in 1989 during my first holiday to the USA.
Typically Tropical Going to Barbados! We weren't going to Barbados, only going on the Stranraer ferry heading to Solway Lido in my old Hillman Minx but was our first mates holiday, song always brings it back 😁
Buggles "video killed the radio star" always reminds me of when I used to walk my dog for hours listening to a little transistor radio in my coat pocket.
Mersey Paradise by The Stone Roses reminds me of getting sideways around roundabouts in my mates hand painted red mk2 Ford Escort. We loved going about and having the novelties of 1991 like a McDonalds "drive thru". We almost lost our minds when we were allowed to go out alone in his older brother's modded EX3i, I still maintain we were Colin McRay airborne at one point.
In A Big Country by Big Country.. takes me back to Army Days in Northern Ireland .....Bought the Cassette before Training and listened to Album all through Training and the tour.
My tune is Our House sung by the late Great Sid James. Reminds me of my late Mum and Dad and my neighbours Maureen and Des, every Christmas eve and New year's party 🥳. Happier Days ☺.
The intro to White Zombie’s album with more human than human. Reminds me of when I had my first subwoofers put in my 1992 Cavalier 4 door. Thinking I was the coolest 17 year old in the world to “be thumpin” some bass cruisin in my ride.
It's funny, it reminds me of going to a wedding in Dublin where it was one of the first songs played after the meal, may have even been the first dance!
'The Gift' ~ Seether, reminds me of my first kitten and first pet after buying my house, Nismo. Yes I named him after Nissan Motorsports, deservingly with the black fur that had a red tinge, and he'd purr winding up, then would squeak a bit, like tires chirping during a gear change.
I bet that you never thought in as many UA-cam dollars that people would actually be interested in watching cars being cleaned. Your channel has grown so much people. Good quality videos though. The Journey songs remind me of my younger happy days going dancing.
Beautiful job done on a well used farm car--it looks so good that I wish the owner would invest in those inexpensive elasticized fitted seat covers, which are easily removed and washed and would keep the dust and dirt from settling in the upholstery (also muddy paw stains from the dogs). Favorite memory song--Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from the best summer I ever had. (p.s. love the instrumental music throughout vs. music with vocals).
New sub here 😊 my husband and I detail cars on the side. I see you also have the Aqua Pro Vac. We are in love with ours! But, I have found in your video two of my favorites, detailing and Scots! ❤️🏴
Green Onions by Booker T and the MGs, Low Rider by War, too many songs remind me of my Poppa, and I get goosebumps just like he did. RIP James Cody Barton, 1942-2006. I miss you, you old fart!
My song really shows my age. Jim Groce Time in a bottle. Great love song. So glad you are back regular. I really hope this new covid crap doesn’t screw with your life and business. Love Moose.
17:20 Bio-brisk is presumably an enzyme cleaner, but like bio washing powder, it doesn’t work in temperatures much over 40 degrees C, so I doubt if it is effective with steam, unless you let carpets soak a while in bio-brisk prior to steaming.
Old moose showed himself a lot in this video, is this slowly turning into the moose show ? ☺ for me cleaning cars is very therapeutic and enjoyable when you can stand back at the end and see a good result!
Nice job cleaning that Seat :) Nice question too, for me perhaps Alphaville - Forever Young, remindes me from the time when I was young :D It's released in September 1984 when I wasn't even ten years old yet, but for me this song remindes more times around 1987 - 1989.
Years ago when I was about 15, me, mum, dad and my brother were coming home from kilmarnock at Christmas time, we were all fighting and arguing like f*ck, when Paul McCartney's simply having a wonderful Christmas time came on😂😂we all stopped fighting to enjoy the irony of it😆😆
Nice job as always Gary. My song: "Calling all the heroes" by It Bites; I used to drive home from uni and I'd be playing this with the volume set to 11! I'd arrive home after 2 hours with a hoarse voice from all the loud singing along I would have done. Where better to murder a song with your own signing that when being on your own, cruising along in your first car!!! Question for you if you don't mind: Any advice you can give on dealing with plastic dashboard trim that has been seeing too much exposure to sunlight and has gone soft and sticky as a result (you know, almost like someone spilt s a fizzy drink over it and it is drying up, but not quite there yet)? Would love to hear? Cheers
another brilliant video top man keep up the amazing work as for song it would be queen bohemian rhapsody on a road trip to the south of france my brother was so scared of that song he used to scream shut if off use to make me laugh
On this side of the pond, before e-cigarettes and disposable lighters, we also used lighter fluid to remove tar from painted surfaces. Song reminisces, Ringo Starr - You're Sixteen... My ex and I actually did a duet to this one. Narragansett Bay.
My father owns a first gen Nissan Micra since he bought it brand new nearly 30 years ago. He is using it to carry around all the garbage he is gathering from the garden and haven washed it since 2 years or more and the car looks cleaner in the inside then this seat before your detail

I love how honest your videos are, not poncy! You really get a feeling of what you're going through. 😂👍
I can’t begin to comprehend the smells he comes across.
Gary: It's a lot better.
Moose: You've ruined it!
Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" - I had a drill instructor in Boot Camp who would make us sing the chorus whenever someone was being dropped from our platoon(bad attitudes, failed fitness test, failed rifle qualification...). It would be good to see the customers reaction when they come to pick the car's up. Great video as always.
When you destroy a car like this you won't se the difference, just that the plastic bottles is gone..
I’m old so one song that always takes me back to being a kid in the car with the Mom is “Feeling That Way” by Journey. I don’t know why it just does. Big ole Chrysler Newport ‘72 sedan. That thing was huge.
"Letter From America" by The Proclaimers always reminds me of car cleaning videos, strangely enough ;)
Another nice one, Gary!
“Here comes the sun” by The Beatles.

Cracking comment. This is the reason I ask these questions 😊
Thanks for watching and sharing that story 😊

Cool beans! The, y'all!
Ammo ,WD detailing MAD detailing
Good to see you back making videos again.
I'd say Moose's nose was going nine to the dozen with the doggie and horsey smells :). Loving the fancy new graphics
The air blaster for the carpets is basically pressure washing, lol. I really enjoy your videos. Great work!

This by far my favorite detail channel. You do just great, honest work, while remaining positive.
You work miracles Gary, that's an amazing transformation, wish we could have seen the customer reaction 😁.
Hi Gary, Amy, Moose, hope you are all well. There is a tidy wee car under all that muck. 1970, Freda Payne - Band of Gold; Long hot summer; School hols seemed to go on forever; Best summer ever (almost)! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. ;)
I reckon you are single-handedly keeping that silicone spray company in business! 😂
"I travel a lot to a stable, that's why the car is dirt..." - No! The car is dirty because the "owner" is ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!!!!
👌👍😂
Give the owner some credit, at least they didn’t Chuck the rubbish out the window
Exactly right 👍
Scatman John... Ski-ba-bop, reminds me of flying into Portugal on my first holiday without my parents! (With my mates parents though!).
It was playing as we where excitedly looking out the window!!! (I was about 16/17!)
Brilliant durty car vid again!! Keep them flowing👌👍
"Jane" by the Jefferson Starship always reminds me of driving back from a day-long ski trip with two friends at the time. That was about 35 years ago.
Man, you make them look good. Wish I lived across the pond, I'd have you take care of my pickup truck..
Budapest, George Ezra, this reminds me of taking the kids away for a long weekend break that was a laugh a minute and glorious sunshine all the time.
Your floor is epic. I really like the design.

Glenn Miller - in the mood. My mom’s first new car she ever got she would play that song and act like she was playing the piano on everyone

Amazing job there as always

Hi Gary. Really enjoy your videos. Greetings from Coatbridge!!
Nice 1 Gary keep up the good work mate 👌👍
The intro to White Zombie’s album with more human than human. Reminds me of when I had my first subwoofers put in my 1992 Cavalier 4 door. Thinking I was the coolest 17 year old in the world to “be thumpin” some bass cruisin in my ride.
"You can call me Al" by Paul Simon. I went to Ireland in 1980 and I swear they played it 4 times an hour on all of the available radio stations.
It's funny, it reminds me of going to a wedding in Dublin where it was one of the first songs played after the meal, may have even been the first dance!
Man walk down the street….
It was released in 1986 I believe. The first single from Graceland.
been a while since we've seen the tornador - and heard that track "you really got me" - both are hallmarks of your earlier vids.
brilliant job
Thank you 😊
Happy; Pharell Williams takes me back to returning to live in England and feeling my Godson kick for the first time 💜
Would be great to see some customer reactions. Great vid mate, keep em coming
Incredible work buddy well done. Such a satisfying watch.
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf. Reminds me of be at college.
This guy is unbelievable 👏👏
Thank you 😊
I'm glad you like the channel and thanks for subscribing. 😎
Green Onions by Booker T and the MGs, Low Rider by War, too many songs remind me of my Poppa, and I get goosebumps just like he did. RIP James Cody Barton, 1942-2006. I miss you, you old fart!
Baker Street, Gerry Rafferty always reminds me of happy carefree times at the old London Unity Pub in Brighton...sadly gone now...
Gary you & Moose hopefully got top dollar for this awesome clean bud
Great job cleaning this car. Thanks.
Bill withers lovely day and we don't need another hero reminds me of best holiday ever as a kid
The looks sweet.how long did it take you to do .a full clean .
I’ve seen ‘pistol’ grips that clip onto spray cans. It might be an option to make the spray dressing easier to use…
Wonderful job! And amazing ASMR moments 😍😍😍. Thank you!
My song really shows my age. Jim Groce Time in a bottle. Great love song. So glad you are back regular. I really hope this new covid crap doesn’t screw with your life and business. Love Moose.
For as dirty as the car was...those seats was spectacularly clean...before extraction.
I pretty sure he’s got plans to take over 😇
Nice job cleaning that Seat :) Nice question too, for me perhaps Alphaville - Forever Young, remindes me from the time when I was young :D
It's released in September 1984 when I wasn't even ten years old yet, but for me this song remindes more times around 1987 - 1989.
I like your dog 😁
Favorite song that cheers me up. Faith Evans "Sunny Days"
