Don't be fooled by the fairground carousel look, people think "ooh it's a kids ride" ....Nope!!!! ..... This is a fast ride! A white knuckle carousel and one of only 2 of these classic vintage rides left in the world!!! ....Love this one.... It's great that BPB have looked after these classic rides and not replaced them with some modern common ride that you can see anywhere. The Steeplechase is another fave of mine , now that one is another rarity and the last one in the world!
@@idunnobutyay2520 do it!!! Blackpool Pleasure Beach is so good ...so many unique vintage rarities plus modern steel huge coaster's.... I haven't got the guts for the ",,big one" these days... I'm ,46 with a bad back/knees ect.... Rode the Big One at 19 , sp I've done it... But not now ... However , I will go on everything else ... BPB is such a unique theme park .... Love it so much ... Been going since 5 years old n I'll still be going when I'm 70/80!
I used to go on this when I was a child it was definitely my favourite. We used to hang on for dear life back in the 1960s 70s 🤣 It seemed alot faster then ,has it been slowed down recently?
Pleasure Beach Experience oh absolutely!🙂. I'll happily ride them both it's just the Derby racer slightly more fun to ride, but I am in no way talking down the Gallopers as there was a classic amusement ride as you can get😁
@@dougbriglmen716 It's interesting the organs on both of the gallopers and derby racer are made by the same company I believe they operate the same way they have an endless cardboard book full of music.

They no longer move forwards and backwards but that's the main difference
The Galopers look nicer paint job wise but this is the more fun to ride out of the two.
A great classic old ride. :)
Both are proper BPB classics.

My Uncle got so scared when he went on this as a kid, but my mom was like Can we go on Revolution?
It can be pretty scary considering there isn't any restraints (just the way we love it though).
Yes! it makes it more thrilling
Ah this is one of my favourite classic rides at the Pleasure Beach when did it open?
1958 rings a bell but need to get clarity on that.
Pleasure Beach Experience oh enjoy this classical one loved it as a kid
I was a year out, 1959
Ah not too far out. Thank you for finding out for me though!
Hi whats the music called I have been looking and I can't find it at all.
Glenn Miller Medley. Many Organ music is hard to find! Most are on records in the UK.
