A lot of people don't appreciate just how much BPB managed to cram into such a small space. Valhalla is pretty amazing when you actually look at what they've managed to squeeze into that building.
It’s the best designed theme park in Britain and the best I have been to. Even the ghost train feels big yet doesn’t look it.
Fab ride
They're giving it a revamp this year '2020'
Mayo Muncher yes it’s gonna be shut when I go 😭
@@sam9708 I think alot of the rides go underground.
I love how they were speaking a language I didn't understand the whole time until the final drop where all I hear is "oh shit". 🤣
:D :D :D
Valhalla was the first ride I went on there and I was not expecting the last drop to be so big lol
Yeah they use fog effects to make it look bigger too 😂
This is probably one of the coolest rides ever built
Gonna be even better when it’s reopen this year !
I love it so much
@Perfecto been told it’s opening March 18th for opening day! Apparently it’s almost finished :)
In the Uk definitely! But compared to rides in other countries it’s nothing 😭
@@mel04_x53been on plenty abroad this is the best I’ve been on it’s been voted best water ride in the world 7 times have you ever been on it?
Technically, spacially, and ambitiously, this ride looks incredible. The concept alone seems one-of-a-kind - indoor water coaster/dark ride.
I’m sure there was a similar ride at Epcot in the Norway country can’t remember the name but this looks as good if not better. Until you get outside of course & realise where you are!
it’s somewhat similar to vliegende hollander at efteling
This ride has been and always will be the best water ride anywhere. The soundtrack, the theme, the effects, everthing is visually stunning. I will admit the effects can be very unreliable and that goes for the ride too but it is going to be considering the amount of money that it costs to run and update it. For people complaining about how soaked you get, well it's a water ride for starters what were you expecting and the fact that it warns you that you'll get drenched. The only complaint I can understand about this ride is that before it even starts the boats are filled with quite a bit of water which causes your feet to become soggy and wet all the way through. Upon saying that the boats constantly move and so there isn't really any time to drain the water out. They try there best but you got to give them credit for managing that ride when its heaving in summer
probably one of the reasons they do a make over. When you "fixing" stuff for years but never go down to the core of the problem it costs more over time.
I'd spend the whole tunnel hopping around in my seat saying "where's Loki?!"
I think flying dutchman is better and not to forget chiapas at phantasialand
First time I ever went on Valhalla, they didn't have the mesh on the scenic turntable.... they added it because seagulls and other birds kept flying into it.
That’s the same with me when I was 5 I went on this and a bird flew into my face as I was violently crying 🤣🤣
A seagull took me grandma’s bloody chips of clevelys beach
Pigeons were the worst. Once they got in they built nests, crapped everywhere and caused damage and mayhem. They were eventually removed
At the start of it, I was like "why do people love this so much"? Then the POV continued and I said "what a must do dark water ride". It's excellent.
The ride makes your expectations low at the start, so when it gets good, you’re even more shocked
@@MrGamerDoesVids I went on it since then, finally, am going back to UK and EU next year for a big park trip again.
Came back here after hearing the announcement that Valhalla will in fact reopen this year! So excited
One of my absolute earliest childhood memories is being on the ride at four years old, I didn't go back until I was sixteen. We drove almost six hours to visit black pool pleasure beach again 😊
You must be at least 300 miles away ! You should visit the Fairgrounds in US or Canada they will blow your Ass off !
Love this ride and can’t wait to see its reinvention in 2021
Sadly it's now summer of 2022 :(
@@chloereid0x1 your bloody kidding me !!
Maybe Ragnar Lodbrok will make an appearance and they'll have Swedish pagans by Sabaton playing.
@@Josho922 It’s true, Amanda Thompson got lazy and couldn’t be bothered reopening it this year, if she does the same next year which I don’t doubt who knows it may never reopen.
@@danielledewitt1 I really hope it does open sooner rather than later though it's like the best ride to end the day with or if it's sunny and hot start the day lol
I went on this ride and honestly I come out of showers dryer😂
Billy Honey 😂😂
Ya basically have a bath and shower at same time boats full water when you get in 🤣🤣
Cant remember thier been 4 drops like ha
I like how happy and friendly the staff member at the end looked, I hope he's doing well
Makes a change, from my experience the crew that work this ride are normally super stressed out because people aren't listening to their instructions while the boats are constantly moving through the station.
@@atmosphericfunfairs1371 Or the controllers are running the water to fast and the controller on the platform is shouting up 'slow it down - slow it down' ...
@@atmosphericfunfairs1371
The staff at the Pleasure Beach used to be told that when visitors come to the Pleasure beach they leave their brains at home. And it's true. In 2021 a Premier league footballer tried to get his son on the ride. His son was nearly 12 inches under the minimum height for the ride. I had to get senior management to talk to him but he wouldn't move and became extremely abusive. So security escorted him off the park.
@@booth2710
You can't run the water too fast. There's a conveyor in the station which you could stop and start
fantastic POV, looked like a lot of the effects were in your favor as well most of the time they aren’t half as good as they are here, lucky to get a pov as well as they usually never let people film inside, great video!
Cameron Goldthorpe Maybe they asked permission. Usually you can’t film on rides.
Danielle Dewitt ye probably
Bring it back open 2022 or 2023
This just reminds me of how good Blackpool is. I can’t explain how I feel when I go but it’s my happiest place to be by far.
Valhalla isn't even a ride, its an experience.
Gayyyy 😂
Love when you can see out side then it goes back and a piece of wood flops out and pushes you the other way!
Ano ye it’s got to be one of the best rides there and the fact I’m going this Friday
@@chriswhitby7078 I went yesterday. Sadly it wasn’t open because of reinventing the ride
Heftig was man sich aus dem Thema wasser so raus holen kann. Geiles Tehming. Aus Liebe zu Deteil. Sowas müsste in den Heidepark
Oder Hansa Park😉👌
@@hansaparkfan-epfan7375 der Hansapark hat such gutes Theming
Couldn’t agree more Hibs for the cup
@@davidcorr688 😂😂😂
Für mich einer der geilesten Darkrides, die ich kenne. Bin schon gespannt auf die überarbeitete Version.
It is 21 years practically to the day 15th Sept 2000 since I rode Valhalla and I cannot wait to get back on it next year after it’s refurbishment and reinvention. Love this ride it is one of my favourite rides in the UK so thanks for uploading 👍👍👍
2001 for me I'm going in September can't wait
Aw I wanna go! First went on with my best friend in school, 2004. We loved it so much, we went 3 times in one day 😊 happy memories
love this ride. on the last drop one time for me the flames went across the water and the splash of the boat put the flames out. amazing. it never happened like that on other times
The river of fire was quite temperamental. It took time to reset itself after each boat
This ride rivals even the best rides at somewhere like Disney World. Im suprised its not more famous.
Sehr liebevoll gestaltet, da bleibt kein Auge trocken.
Valhalla is one of the greatest rides ever built period.
I use to love going to Blackpool pleasure beach when it use to be still opened till dark! Went 3 years ago, 5pm closing is to early
This was the ride I use to go on about 4 or 5 times, twice round without getting off
Many years ago, a friend and I took a specially laid on train than transported us from Somerset to Blackpool. We arrived at Blackpool around 9 am. Our train home was around midnight - We were enjoying our self's so much right up into the late evening and almost missed our train home due to having so much fun there. ....
I remember those days.
I got absolutely soaked after this, it was fantastic
The actual building before the Valhalla ride was a place called The Funhouse.
Eigentlich unnötig, das die den Wasserfall ganz am Anfang ausgeschaltet haben wenn man sich mal so die ganze Fahrt anguckt^^
Haha ist echt so 😂😂
4:23. Disneyland has the backside of water, Valhalla has going straight through water.
🤣😂🤣
This Is 1 ride you don't come of dry at all, down side its always breaking down, upper hand its now being revamped to make it more modern and more in service all year round due to be open 2022. 😉
6:17 . on the right of the last drop splashdown i never realised it was so close to the waterfall tunnel.
If two boats land at the bottom of each hill at the same time it's absolutely incredible the amount of water that's flying about!
I really liked the snow room best I rode it in the early 2000s as a kid on a really hot day to go from that to snow was mind bending to me. I was lucky and saw all the effects that happened
Scheint ne richtig, richtig geile Bahn zu sein :D
Rain capes defeat the purpose of a water ride. It's like swimming in a wave pool wearing a hazmat suit. You ride a water right to COOL OFF.
Ride.
I was there on Thursday and the queue took 2 hours. So worth it though.
I worked on Valhalla for 2 years from opening day.
Day 1. It just kept breaking down, 30 times or more. We had to evacuate the ride every time.
The breakdowns continued for weeks, nearly always the same one at turn 2. The fault was eventually found and rectified and the ride ran properly with only an occasional stoppage.
What was the problem?
@Shaun Payne
Just the sensors telling the computer the block was occupied.
I have no idea about ride operations and I'm intrigued to know how much goes into operating Valhalla. Is a lot of it automated? I was there in September and wondered what the staff member in the booth is watching. Obviosuly safety things but do they trigger anything or just look for smooth operation? How does the ride start up first thing in the day? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated!!
They’ve disabled and changed a lot of effects that were on it when it first opened. Probably to save money. Shame it was breathtaking when it first opened.
they are redoing it im sure
Valhalla!
Looks Ike fun to me ! Thanks for the video. 😊
Amazing I been on this ride many times you get absolutely soaked
best ride at bpb 100%
Not in my opinion, but definitely great!
Feuer und Wasser, ein toller und anscheinend nasser, Kontrast. Und eine lange Fahrzeit. 👍
No
Ive been on this like 5 times 5/5 rating its one of the best rides ive been on!🎉
Here is that english comment you've been looking for
Respect and admire how they manage to fit these newer roller-coasters into the park, fushion icon I think it's called looks phenomenal, been on fushion but I'm old fashion I like the revolution I remember when it hard the union Jack on it lol
Geiler Darkride
This is one ride I'm yet to go on when I next go to Blackpool. Looks so good :D
This ride reminds me of the Maelstrom in Disney World that was replaced by Frozen. Just a whole lot scarier!
One of the best rides ever
Die Bahn ist genial, beeindruckend 👍
Valhalla rocks in blackpool
Cost: millions
Profit: billions
So excited to get back on this beauty after its 3 year refurb.... its been too long!
Actually it was reopening in 2021 but due to Amanda Thompsons laziness it didn’t, it was reopening in 2022 but again due to Amanda’s laziness it didn’t.
🌊Amazing!!! It's an aquatic trip to hell and back.🔥
Da habt ihr nochmal Glück gehabt :D Valhalla wird die ganze Saison 2020 renoviert. Denke allein wegen der Attraktion werde ich noch ein Jahr warten für einen Besuch.
A brilliant long ride. Fantastic theming.
Went on it today and got absolutely soaked. Would recommend
i've watched several POV vids of this ride and all of them are complete chaos. i want to ride it so bad!
Ist der Schaum auf dem Wasser so gewollt oder müsste man da mal über einen Wasserwechsel nachdenken.
That looks fun ! What a long ride as well.
3 years later, you dont go backwards and theres different stuff and there isnt a net where you turn, its like a wooden wall or smth
Most awesome ever I went on it 5 times and there was no warning at the time at the last drop totally unexpected 😂😂😂 can’t wait to ride the upgrade
So how they get you out if it broke down when you were far in to the ride?
I miss rides like this. Kings Dominion had one decades ago before they built the Volcano. RIP Volcano. You are missed…
was für eine geile Bahn !!!! 🤯🤯🤯🥰
I went on it in Saturday. Omg it’s amazing. You WILL 100 % get DRENCHED. That’s why they sell ponchos in the queue line
Why does it look soo bright?
Valhalla is even more terrifying with this audio.
This ride terrified me as a kid
I’ve rode that in January when it was minus 3 outside. Got soaked and was bloody frozen all day. Was worth every shiver though. 😂
It closed in 2019??
I'm glad i found this POV footage of Valhalla just so i can reminiscent over the previous audio soundtrack, 1 year in the early 2000s i went on 1st Valhalla followed by Ice blast and lastly The Big One to dry off before looping all 3 of them rides in a day anyway a big thumbs up from me to you as well as my subscription to your UA-cam channel Ride Review, David owner and founder of Thrill Seeks from England
It’s so brilliant this thing. Make sure you go the back of the boat to get the best ride. Blackpool looks quite grubby, but the production of this, and the Wallace and gromit one is really well done. Wish they could revamp the whole park. The rides were always the best in the country, Although getting rid of the mouse rollercoaster got rid of one of the best rides in the park :(
Alter Schwede, was für 'ne Bahn! Darauf hätte ich jetzt auch bock :D
Mit Wechsel Klamotten auf jeden Fall 😁
My favourite ride!! Its so intimidating, takes me back to being a kid, reminds me so much of a 30s disney film or something.
The music that plays throughout the attraction sounds amazing. Was it composed by IMAScore?
A cheaper version of The Mummy?
Soak the ride.
Amazing footage great ride I hope in 2022 it's made better xx
*2022😭
i think they talk german
Storytime
So this happened around 5 months ago, I’m 10 now but at the time I was 9 and Me and my little cousin jenson who was 7 at the time, were queuing up for Valhalla me and him had a blast until he got soaked. He was so wet and cold Also he was shaking like all living hell, Anyways after that when we go off his dad ran back to the hotel and got him some clothes and a blanket. He was walking about shaking everywhere then he said this “ Kadie..Can you knock it down for me :c” I started laughing but felt bad
The
End
💞
RJ Original MOVIES how?? 😂
RJ Original MOVIES serve mama
When I went on Valhalla, it stopped before the big drop and broke down, after like 5 minutes it suddenly started again it was so scary lolll
Amazing. Fantastic
Ich will auch ..wie geil ist das denn!
Not riding valhalla on my visit before it’s refurb is my biggest regret, looks amazinf :(
One of my favorite rides ever
They have copied the Norwegian Viking ride at Walt Disney World; the maelstrom ride. It goes backwards at a certain point.
Blackpool looks like a cool town.
What happened to the big sign. Love this ride.
I heard this has had some damp issues.
Is that a joke or an actual fact?
Hahahaha yeah that’s a good one not. It’s a water ride so yes there will be plent of water. Duh numbskull.
Why do I remember walking in that cave when it wasn’t under management?
The first time I went on Valhalla, they didn't have the mesh up yet. There was a worker of the ride sitting up there.. the full boat were shouting at him "Are we going out there?!" "Is this a hill?!" "Are we going down?!" ... He slowly shook his head while smiling, then slowly nodding his head pointing behind us still smiling... All of us "What?!! Are we going backwAAAAAAAAAAAAArds?!!!!!". We pretty much sat like this "👀" the rest of the ride. Back then it honestly felt like a higher/longer drop than it looks here lol.
Why couldn't I just say "member of staff"... really hate my brain sometimes. 🤣
I went here for my birthday two years ago and we decided we'd go on Valhalla last so that we weren't wet for the whole time we were there. By the time we'd been on everything else the park was closing and we didn't get time to go on Valhalla!! :(
That's annoying :(
Hopefully next time you can ride.
When it goes down is it fast and long also does it go backwards?
The biggest drop is 70°, 19 meters tall and you go down it at 43mph- though it does feel a lot steeper and faster as it's in the dark
Yes it does go backwards but only for a short while- down a little drop :)
doesnt go backwards anymore after it was redone sadly
Everytime I went it had broken down so one year when we went and it WAS working we went on it at least 5 times in a row
Nice pov 👍
best ride in the universe
At Blackpool! It’s closed! Having a refurbishment! 😭
Wo befindet sich der Park?
Blackpool pleasure beach in the Uk
Oh wow cool.
Im Sommer wäre es super ;-). Ansonsten, schönes und meiner Meinung nach, ein relativ unverbrauchtes Setting
Yeah this was brilliant, is this the one with the stormtrooper at the exit.🤣🤣
Ride Review well done on this pov how do you Sneek a go pro in if the people say your not allowed to film
We were allowed to film. We have been cooperating with the park and have been accompanied by the head of marketing while filming the onride videos.
Ride Review is it true that it will close forever
Ride Review how come on the front row you don’t fall off because there very thick cats
Ride review I mean bars
Jazzacooldude UA-cam No that’s a lie. Who told you it was closing forever?
