A lot of people don't appreciate just how much BPB managed to cram into such a small space. Valhalla is pretty amazing when you actually look at what they've managed to squeeze into that building.
I’m sure there was a similar ride at Epcot in the Norway country can’t remember the name but this looks as good if not better. Until you get outside of course & realise where you are!
This ride has been and always will be the best water ride anywhere. The soundtrack, the theme, the effects, everthing is visually stunning. I will admit the effects can be very unreliable and that goes for the ride too but it is going to be considering the amount of money that it costs to run and update it. For people complaining about how soaked you get, well it's a water ride for starters what were you expecting and the fact that it warns you that you'll get drenched. The only complaint I can understand about this ride is that before it even starts the boats are filled with quite a bit of water which causes your feet to become soggy and wet all the way through. Upon saying that the boats constantly move and so there isn't really any time to drain the water out. They try there best but you got to give them credit for managing that ride when its heaving in summer
probably one of the reasons they do a make over. When you "fixing" stuff for years but never go down to the core of the problem it costs more over time.

First time I ever went on Valhalla, they didn't have the mesh on the scenic turntable.... they added it because seagulls and other birds kept flying into it.
One of my absolute earliest childhood memories is being on the ride at four years old, I didn't go back until I was sixteen. We drove almost six hours to visit black pool pleasure beach again 😊
Makes a change, from my experience the crew that work this ride are normally super stressed out because people aren't listening to their instructions while the boats are constantly moving through the station.

@@atmosphericfunfairs1371 The staff at the Pleasure Beach used to be told that when visitors come to the Pleasure beach they leave their brains at home. And it's true. In 2021 a Premier league footballer tried to get his son on the ride. His son was nearly 12 inches under the minimum height for the ride. I had to get senior management to talk to him but he wouldn't move and became extremely abusive. So security escorted him off the park.
fantastic POV, looked like a lot of the effects were in your favor as well most of the time they aren’t half as good as they are here, lucky to get a pov as well as they usually never let people film inside, great video!
love this ride. on the last drop one time for me the flames went across the water and the splash of the boat put the flames out. amazing. it never happened like that on other times
It is 21 years practically to the day 15th Sept 2000 since I rode Valhalla and I cannot wait to get back on it next year after it’s refurbishment and reinvention. Love this ride it is one of my favourite rides in the UK so thanks for uploading 👍👍👍
I use to love going to Blackpool pleasure beach when it use to be still opened till dark! Went 3 years ago, 5pm closing is to early This was the ride I use to go on about 4 or 5 times, twice round without getting off
Many years ago, a friend and I took a specially laid on train than transported us from Somerset to Blackpool. We arrived at Blackpool around 9 am. Our train home was around midnight - We were enjoying our self's so much right up into the late evening and almost missed our train home due to having so much fun there. ....
I really liked the snow room best I rode it in the early 2000s as a kid on a really hot day to go from that to snow was mind bending to me. I was lucky and saw all the effects that happened
Respect and admire how they manage to fit these newer roller-coasters into the park, fushion icon I think it's called looks phenomenal, been on fushion but I'm old fashion I like the revolution I remember when it hard the union Jack on it lol
They’ve disabled and changed a lot of effects that were on it when it first opened. Probably to save money. Shame it was breathtaking when it first opened.
This Is 1 ride you don't come of dry at all,down side its always breaking down, upper hand its now being revamped to make it more modern and more in service all year round due to be open 2022. 😉

Actually it was reopening in 2021 but due to Amanda Thompsons laziness it didn’t, it was reopening in 2022 but again due to Amanda’s laziness it didn’t.
I worked on Valhalla for 2 years from opening day. Day 1. It just kept breaking down, 30 times or more. We had to evacuate the ride every time. The breakdowns continued for weeks, nearly always the same one at turn 2. The fault was eventually found and rectified and the ride ran properly with only an occasional stoppage.
I have no idea about ride operations and I'm intrigued to know how much goes into operating Valhalla. Is a lot of it automated? I was there in September and wondered what the staff member in the booth is watching. Obviosuly safety things but do they trigger anything or just look for smooth operation? How does the ride start up first thing in the day? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated!!
It’s so brilliant this thing. Make sure you go the back of the boat to get the best ride. Blackpool looks quite grubby, but the production of this, and the Wallace and gromit one is really well done. Wish they could revamp the whole park. The rides were always the best in the country, Although getting rid of the mouse rollercoaster got rid of one of the best rides in the park :(

Yep , north of a hundred grand a month to run it. Aswell as the re-imagining that's taking place I would of thought they are using this opportunity to bring running costs down too. You seem pissed at the entry charge just to walk round? And it's a tenner now by the way! Lol! There's the maze and you get the Ice Show. I completely agree with the charge. Can you imagine the pleasure beach in this day and age being a free for all. All the feral youths , junkies , alcoholics and scumbags being allowed to roam and hang around all day!!?? No! Sorry the pleasure beach is a far better safer place with the wristband and entry charge.
Reason is, it isn't paying for itself like it did when the park was free entry. The rides all payed for themselves far more in terms of heavy footfall. If the park went back to tickets and had a much greater increased wristband option, it would thrive on both sides of the coin. By shortening the opening hours and minimising your footfall by enforcing entry fee via wristband, it has in effect cut their takings by massive amount. Each ride used to have far more throughput and volume of custom.

I went here for my birthday two years ago and we decided we'd go on Valhalla last so that we weren't wet for the whole time we were there. By the time we'd been on everything else the park was closing and we didn't get time to go on Valhalla!! :(
After 10 rides on the “new” Valhalla now, I look at this video and there’s not a single thing I miss. The old Valhalla was great but the new one is epic. The pyro wall at the end is awesome.

This old version looks to have a few cool bits but after watching this i much prefer the new sound track with the voice over which basically walks you into the afterlife to Valhalla. The old one here is also spoilt by the "don't lean forwards on the next stop drop" announcement. Seems to really take you out of the theming. New one seems more immersive.
Schade das PoV Video hier nicht annähernd vermitteln können wie geil das ist. Meiner Meinung nach der beste Log Flume der Welt, da kann Chiapas einpacken. Irre Lang, extrem umfangreiche Thematisierung mit einigen Animatronics, unterschiedliche Klimazonen, Feuer und natürlich wird man nass bis auf die Unterhose. Genial.
The first time I went on Valhalla, they didn't have the mesh up yet. There was a worker of the ride sitting up there.. the full boat were shouting at him "Are we going out there?!" "Is this a hill?!" "Are we going down?!" ... He slowly shook his head while smiling, then slowly nodding his head pointing behind us still smiling... All of us "What?!! Are we going backwAAAAAAAAAAAAArds?!!!!!". We pretty much sat like this "👀" the rest of the ride. Back then it honestly felt like a higher/longer drop than it looks here lol.

It’s the best designed theme park in Britain and the best I have been to. Even the ghost train feels big yet doesn’t look it.

Technically, spacially, and ambitiously, this ride looks incredible. The concept alone seems one-of-a-kind - indoor water coaster/dark ride.

Pigeons were the worst. Once they got in they built nests, crapped everywhere and caused damage and mayhem. They were eventually removed

You can't run the water too fast. There's a conveyor in the station which you could stop and start

If two boats land at the bottom of each hill at the same time it's absolutely incredible the amount of water that's flying about!

Rain capes defeat the purpose of a water ride. It's like swimming in a wave pool wearing a hazmat suit. You ride a water right to COOL OFF.

I went on it in Saturday. Omg it’s amazing. You WILL 100 % get DRENCHED. That’s why they sell ponchos in the queue line

The first time I went on Valhalla, they didn't have the mesh up yet. There was a worker of the ride sitting up there.. the full boat were shouting at him "Are we going out there?!" "Is this a hill?!" "Are we going down?!" ... He slowly shook his head while smiling, then slowly nodding his head pointing behind us still smiling... All of us "What?!! Are we going backwAAAAAAAAAAAAArds?!!!!!". We pretty much sat like this "👀" the rest of the ride. Back then it honestly felt like a higher/longer drop than it looks here lol.
Why couldn't I just say "member of staff"... really hate my brain sometimes. 🤣
