Ahmad Soliman in damage aspect may be. but overall surviveability, cloak of shadows and feint, which help abuse or negate some mechanics and cheat death make rogue the best melee class ever. even farming or progress raiding
I like the Legendary Shoulders where your crit is increased by 100% I luv those for world quest grinding cause it wipes mobs very quickly, combined with Outlaw
I would have to ask a question tho. You take into account things like artifact spells and passives etc. What are we going to do, when the next expansion hits and our artifacts will be useless? We wont have things like loaded dice then.
I main a Sub rogue...but play most classes and specs. More than most classes, you have HUGE control and choice over HOW you DPS a target. One helpful thing is considering: How fast will this target die??? Your rotation SIGNIFICANTLY changes depending on it being a short, medium, or long kill....and amazingly, Blizz has engineered a spec and talents that actually perform awesomely for any situation. It is super fun and engaging once you become proficient with Shadow Dance mechanics.
With the Outlaw Rogue, I never really understood exactly why anyone would take Deeper Stratagem over Anticipation in the 45 tier. The artifact ability is just soo strong with Anticipation, since it says "fill" and not "gives 5", and after playing with Anticipation for quite a while, I can confirm that it does indeed give you a full 10 combo points every time you use a combo point generator under the Artifact ability's effects. (even free Pistol Shots give a full 10, so even more energy to spam finishers with)
All I have to say is: *_GIVE ROGUES A TANKING SPEC!_* Or perhaps more utility with each spec! (ranged DPS options with Outlaw & guns, and Assassin & thrown weapons at the very least!) All they'd REALLY need to do for tanking is: 1: Bring back moves like Combat Readiness, Recuperate, Pre-Cata Riposte & Ghostly Strike (and rename them), 2: Bring back several survivalbility talents from the talent trees from classic to cata ([Cata] Deadened Nerves + [Wrath] Nerves of Steel, 1 point of [C] Unfair Advantage, Enveloping Shadows, the not-Feint's threat aspect of Sleight of Hand, Setup, [C] Reinforced Leather, [C] Quickening, and probably some others I missed), 3: Give Rogues a "Stance" that increases threat generated (to 1-to-1, rather than the 1-to-0.78 or w/e we have) and a bonus to Stamina while active, and prevents stealth from being used at all. 4: Change the effects of certain spells while under the effect of the "Stance" to do different things! (namely Tricks of the Trade reversing who gets what threat: Tricked person gets bonus DPS & dumps all threat *TO* you) 5: Add in new spells for the utility belt of tricks like a taunt of sorts and the "Flame Shield" spell from the Wyrmrest Skytalons from the Eye of Eternity raid (but make them more windy/shadowy/voidlier)
Actually, i say they make use of their stealth to tank mechanics. Rogues could just dodge abilities, like vanishing to leave a decoy behind that takes all the damage the rogue WOULD have taken for like, 3 seconds. This would also grant invulnerability the rogue for the three seconds, which maintains the class fantasy of tricking your opponent while also tanking. Rogues... i think rogues could be tanks. It would be weird, and you would rely on cool downs instead of passive armor and tankiness.
What bothers me about assassination is that 90% of the AoE is built into one RNG-based ability. I love the utility of the class, but I'm just really enjoying my frost DK right now.
I've never found rogues to be meant for AoE, except for outlaw, really the thing you want to do in AoE situations as sin or sub is spam fan of knives/shuriken storm and placing your DoTs, garrote and rupture for sin and nightblade for sub, on as many targets as you can. Meanwhile, outlaw is just turn on blade flurry and do your normal thing.
My bad. I meant to say that as outlaw, the spec feels meh on single target. With blade flurry+shivarran symmetry+a group of mobs it makes your screen fill with stupid big numbers. That is kinda fun and is a bit more fun that shuriken storm spam.
How do you have the willpower to level through the broken isles on every single class? I'm trying to get a 3rd class to 110, but I just can't... Completly impossible :(
Sub of Legion is one of the most fun specs the game has seen imo. I liked the old one, but I like the change even more because it is less niche, but still very much its own spec.
Keeping in mind he just lvled his rogue to 110 not bad. But as a high-ranking PvE rogue myself, alot of the strategy he offers is quite wrong on sin and sub, if you want solid help starting a rogue I suggest checking out the rogue forums (Ravenholdt), Sin is falling out of favor and sub pulls ahead on T20 by a long shot. Overall pretty good!
I got sick of the variance with Outlaw so have just gone full Assassination. The AoE with it is actually pretty strong at the moment. Most people will tell you to rupture up to 3 targets, but you just keep FoK to 4/5cp and tab rupture everything and the dots just add up. That and your poison bomb has a chance to proc off ruptures.
I'm a rouge main and imo sub is easy to play, although getting used to the shortage of cp ( that's why vigor is good,) which is a problem with eviscerate being one of your hardest hitting moves with 6 combo points.
As playing and enjoying outlaw rogue for the last month, i kinda feel you didnt give its diserved respect. I mean YEAH roll the bones is core for getting ultra buffed, when certain buffs procs, like 2 combo p per hit or energy reg, you are a beast. But it really shines on world content, exploiting the pistols, mark of the dead, and artifact ability. Its the rogue made for dealing with lots of mobs fast. The hook is awesome. I think blizz nailed it on this pirate feel that the outlaw has.
Too bad you didn't touch PVP at all. Outlaw seems very bland in purely PVE perspective but it's the most fun and versatile PVP spec in my opinion. Blizzard pretty much fucked up PVP in Legion with everything doing spontaneous AOE and breaking CC's, tons of abilities which rely on RNG and proc based win conditions but I mean still I feel you have the most control over your surroundings and the most mobility/utility in Outlaw.. Grappling hook, ranged stun, blind, gouge, sap, vanish, ranged slow, another stun, sprint, disarm, smoke bomb, etc. I mean sure the whole game is dumbed down so much these days that nothing really feels super versatile and challenging=rewarding but I think Outlaw rogue is the closest to the good old PVP rogue we used to have.
I haven't played WoW since Mist of Pandara, because my computer broke and I never got a new one or had it fixed, but 3 months ago I got a gaming computer so I can eventually come back and play it again. Sadly I am so far behind and missed some cool content like WoD, and such, even Legion. When I last played Outlaw was called combat, which apparently they just changed to Outlaw for Legion and all the specs seem fun. Sadly my rogue is only in the teens last I remember, but I may have to play that Worgen more. I have enjoyed this video series it has caught me up with what is going on as far as gameplay, but I have missed a lot of the story.
these videos are amazing ive been torn between the fantasy fun and strength for a new class to main in BfA cause hunter is makin me sad as of late being basically a one spec class for me
People rely on roll the bones too much, why waste combo points praying to rngesus when you can do between the eyes and stun for a stupid long time? Plus you have fun abilities like bribe that I doubt people ever use to their full potential, especially in world pvp where you can for example sneak into a major city of the other faction going around bribing guards to attack players and stuff.
The addon that shows your GCD's would be helpful. I think its called GCD tracker just so people get a better idea of the abilties you use. Other than that love the guides so far.
the sub gameplay in the background was really hard to watch. couldn't tell if you were intentionally standing in literally every single mechanic or not, i guess it is a really good depiction of your typical rogue though
really, I'm not the best player and my main spec is outlaw, my biggest problem is energy regen. I get that True Bearing is supposed to be awesome but it's no use if half the fight you wait around to get another 50 energy. I main a feral druid in game and I'm having so much less difficulty managing energy, although I have chatoyant signet but even without it was easier. I don't mean to compare the two and understand that rogue in general is a harder class but I've been trying to get it and it just doesn't work.
Legion has been the best expansion to play a rogue. I haven't had this much fun playing a rogue since probably Wrath of the Lich King. The term class fantasy is in full here.
The speed, utility, range, aoe, and overall damage of Outlaw is fuckin amazing. Ive spent maybe under an hour on the other specs this entire xpac because they dont even come close.
Not really they just changed the name for no reason, it has a new mechanic with roll the bones and no longer uses rupture in pve rotations, other than that the spec is in tact for the most part and is super fun.
It always baffles me when I hear people say how fun sin is to play. It's worse than outlaw was at the beginning of the xpac, when you would just sit there waiting for energy regen half the time. This xpac has been my least favorite one for my rogue because it's just been do dreadful standing around waiting for energy. At least 7.2.5 seems to have smoothed out energy regen a bit, so that I can use abilities when adrenalin rush is on cooldown.
Is it just me or death from above is SUPER buggy ? like at least 3 out of 10 times won't do the eviscerate damage after falling for me, it's a bit better if the target is standing still but on moving targets, make that a 7 out of 10 times.
the video is about if its fun but all you show is some training dummy dps cycles and a clip of you fighting a boss. Theres more to fun than just how you dps. imo grappling hook alone makes outlaw more fun than the other specs. also imo roll the bones makes pve dps the most interesting especially those moments where you get a 6 stack buff and go super saiyan god (granted theres more times your triggered because you only get 1 buff but thats what makes getting a 6 stack so exciting) i actually really like your videos only felt the need to post as a constructive criticism

Taliesin & Evitel have created the ultimate Bellular meme
what meme
Him creating so many videos is the only thing keeping him from murdering people
what video is this from?
Nick West their weekly reset episode from last week
I personally prefer it when you also display the abilities description like you did in previous videos.
I like how he just takes every mechanic from sasszine to the face
lfr
What is the music playing behind the Outlaw section at 12:11?
Any chance you could do a weakauras guide for the UI you used in this vid? It's really clean
yes, finally best melee class in the game. great job making videos and not killing people
Ибрахий Костяшкинс nope war is best n3rd
Ahmad Soliman in damage aspect may be. but overall surviveability, cloak of shadows and feint, which help abuse or negate some mechanics and cheat death make rogue the best melee class ever. even farming or progress raiding
Jormungand Prime no Dh is
nope warrior and druid is druid is like rogue but with more options ;)and other specs as well haha
druid can roguestyle melee,tank,heal,cast dps:)
I love the Terokkar Forest music you used during Subtlety. Some of the best damn music in the game.
I like the Legendary Shoulders where your crit is increased by 100% I luv those for world quest grinding cause it wipes mobs very quickly, combined with Outlaw
UNSC Oatmeal lucky you. I’ve played for a year and haven’t gotten them
Hey man, amazing video, just wonderin if you use boosts for your Class Reviews or do you play 1-110?
Which transmog did I just see on the cover-image of this video 0.o? Looks awesome!
I simply love outlaw rogue. It's like an entirely new class.
Mr Raptor It actually is, it got added in Legion 😂
Mr Raptor Of course outlaw is the best, I mean you are a freaking pirate!
And do you know what's better than being a pirate? *A ZOMBIE PIRATE!!!*
+Gigi Bazaidi Uhum, Let Me Change That. *A Space Zombie Pirate*, much better! ;)
I would have to ask a question tho. You take into account things like artifact spells and passives etc. What are we going to do, when the next expansion hits and our artifacts will be useless? We wont have things like loaded dice then.
I main a Sub rogue...but play most classes and specs.

Your rotation SIGNIFICANTLY changes depending on it being a short, medium, or long kill....and amazingly, Blizz has engineered a spec and talents that actually perform awesomely for any situation. It is super fun and engaging once you become proficient with Shadow Dance mechanics.
Better to use vanish with a 5 combo point rupture
Hi, What is the addon that shows the number of damages on dummy and boss? thanks
What resolution was this filmed at very hard to watch on my 1080 screen good video though thanks.
I see outlaw being a very popular class/spec in the next xpac if the rumors are true and it's a Kul'tiras xpac.
it was a kul'tiras xpac
Your Savior and it was bad
What is the addons that shows the time left for Garrote and Rupture?
With the Outlaw Rogue, I never really understood exactly why anyone would take Deeper Stratagem over Anticipation in the 45 tier.
The artifact ability is just soo strong with Anticipation, since it says "fill" and not "gives 5", and after playing with Anticipation for quite a while, I can confirm that it does indeed give you a full 10 combo points every time you use a combo point generator under the Artifact ability's effects. (even free Pistol Shots give a full 10, so even more energy to spam finishers with)
Hi, what addon do you use for the screen icons?
it seems I always bounce between subtlety and assassination over the expansions, have a soft spot for sub though
imo:
assa - pve
sub - pvp
outlaw - fun
+Terrennon 100% agree. Outlaw is so different from Sub and Ass that it almost feels like a different class.
Terrennon na dude sub is currently outperforming assa in pve and at least for me as a long time rogue main it's also the most fun spec to play
Terrennon outlaw-Thunderfury
you're right. Sub is better for pve now. I miss old days xD
So for what we got assa now? Leveling nah, questing?
Only true if the player knows what they are doing, otherwise Assa will be better.
What happened to the graphic with all the abilities and their descriptions that were in the previous videos? I thought they were very helpful
All I have to say is: *_GIVE ROGUES A TANKING SPEC!_*
Or perhaps more utility with each spec! (ranged DPS options with Outlaw & guns, and Assassin & thrown weapons at the very least!)

3: Give Rogues a "Stance" that increases threat generated (to 1-to-1, rather than the 1-to-0.78 or w/e we have) and a bonus to Stamina while active, and prevents stealth from being used at all.
4: Change the effects of certain spells while under the effect of the "Stance" to do different things! (namely Tricks of the Trade reversing who gets what threat: Tricked person gets bonus DPS & dumps all threat *TO* you)
5: Add in new spells for the utility belt of tricks like a taunt of sorts and the "Flame Shield" spell from the Wyrmrest Skytalons from the Eye of Eternity raid (but make them more windy/shadowy/voidlier)
Mithril Mercenary I like your creativeness but rouges being tanks would be really dumb. Why not just go back to vanilla and be a fire mage tank
Which addon do you use to show the damage numbers popping out of your enemy? Idk why my ui no longer shows it, not very satisfying
That transmog is dope. What is it?
Which addon do you use to track DoTs on your target?
I love this series. Thanks for all the hard work on them!
Outlaw Rogues FTW!!! Seriously though, I love the spec as it is my main and the lore behind being a swashbuckling piratey belf is awesome!!!
What add ones are you using?
I have a question about your ui can u make a video on it or if u did link it to me cuz I rly like how it looks and the symplesity of it (ty if u do)
Only criticism of this video I can think of is that you are not talking much about aoe dps performance. Other than that, gj!
Yeah the shuriken storm passive is what really pushes this spec over the top when you compare it to sin or outlaw.
That's exactly on the title, he's just saying if he finds its funny, not strong.
My bad. I meant to say that as outlaw, the spec feels meh on single target. With blade flurry+shivarran symmetry+a group of mobs it makes your screen fill with stupid big numbers. That is kinda fun and is a bit more fun that shuriken storm spam.
what happened to class fantasy and stuff analysis? :(
my problem with outlaw is that a 6 dice outlaw is basically a pre legion combat rogue, the just took the passives and made it a rng buff
How do you have the willpower to level through the broken isles on every single class? I'm trying to get a 3rd class to 110, but I just can't... Completly impossible :(
I just wanna say, I love the name "Roll the Bones". I don't know why, it's just such a rogue name
I've been playing subtlety during Legion, but I might try outlaw too at some point. Pirates are cool.
how long does it tanke you to level one class from 1 to 110
4 days
Genkaro if you do all quests it'll probably take longer
3 Days without any heirlooms, download the ConsLegion add-on it's super helpful
Sub of Legion is one of the most fun specs the game has seen imo. I liked the old one, but I like the change even more because it is less niche, but still very much its own spec.
Thanks for the insight, I just boosted a rogue with my BFA preorder and think I'll pick up assassination.
Hi Bellular, i would like to hear how i can get your UI i rly like how it looks :)
Overall pretty good!
so which one is the easiest to learn?
Can you make Paladin? I think about lvl'ing him, but im not sure.
outlaw and sub / assassin is prty fun to play around with in goldshire as horde
great timing on the video, thanks
Can anyone tell me what is the name of the ability cooldown addons he's using?
I got sick of the variance with Outlaw so have just gone full Assassination. The AoE with it is actually pretty strong at the moment. Most people will tell you to rupture up to 3 targets, but you just keep FoK to 4/5cp and tab rupture everything and the dots just add up. That and your poison bomb has a chance to proc off ruptures.
What Ui is this.. And what xmog is that?
Sub is hard to play if you are drunk
indeed
That lfr footage where nobody moves away from tornadoes though
How does he customize WeakAuras as that?
Forgot that you have to be behind target at all times for sub
Evis Animation Changed for Sub?
I'm a rouge main and imo sub is easy to play, although getting used to the shortage of cp ( that's why vigor is good,) which is a problem with eviscerate being one of your hardest hitting moves with 6 combo points.
how did you know i was looking to come back soon and am torn between rogue, druid, and monk. lol this helps a ton.
Rogue = best class
fallenistari haha very true :)
rogues during mop (with paralitic posion) = best rogues
WOOOOO, playin rogue since BC, my main every xpac.
+mat 11 LOL sure pal
Sub rogue in WoD was amazing, the expansion wasn't, but rogue was spot on. Legion rogues are ass.... this makes me sad.
As playing and enjoying outlaw rogue for the last month, i kinda feel you didnt give its diserved respect. I mean YEAH roll the bones is core for getting ultra buffed, when certain buffs procs, like 2 combo p per hit or energy reg, you are a beast. Im new to wow. What ui mods are those hes using?
Go to his channel he has videos on addons and one that explains his UI.
My ad before this video was for a Nissan Rouge- guess I'm supposed to reroll now
thumbnail on point as always
I haven't played WoW since Mist of Pandara, because my computer broke and I never got a new one or had it fixed, but 3 months ago I got a gaming computer so I can eventually come back and play it again. What is this interface addon called?
People rely on roll the bones too much, why waste combo points praying to rngesus when you can do between the eyes and stun for a stupid long time? Plus you have fun abilities like bribe that I doubt people ever use to their full potential, especially in world pvp where you can for example sneak into a major city of the other faction going around bribing guards to attack players and stuff.
The addon that shows your GCD's would be helpful. I think its called GCD tracker just so people get a better idea of the abilties you use. Other than that love the guides so far.
I feel as if the lights you are using are a tad to bright, at least if I was doing what you do I would tone it down a little
dude! very helpfull video for those choosing new main
What UI is this in the video???
the sub gameplay in the background was really hard to watch. couldn't tell if you were intentionally standing in literally every single mechanic or not, i guess it is a really good depiction of your typical rogue though
Jeremy Stephens Bruh ur watching lfr not a method run
really, I'm not the best player and my main spec is outlaw, my biggest problem is energy regen.
I actually find sub to be the least confusing of the specs. It just seems the most straight forward.
"What's that? Mike wow preach is doing class guides??? That's a great idea! I'm gonna do that too!!!"
Would love to see a draenei rogue
Legion has been the best expansion to play a rogue. I haven't had this much fun playing a rogue since probably Wrath of the Lich King. The term class fantasy is in full here.
sub is nothing like wrath and combat's gone, I hate what they did to the class
Can I haz priest and warlock overview plz? thx ♡
I feckin love Sub, its soo rewarding when you pull it off right
The speed, utility, range, aoe, and overall damage of Outlaw is fuckin amazing. Ive spent maybe under an hour on the other specs this entire xpac because they dont even come close.
if you don't like roll the bones you CAN go s&d.. not as strong but very fun and still useable
I'm guessing combat was removed...
Not really they just changed the name for no reason, it has a new mechanic with roll the bones and no longer uses rupture in pve rotations, other than that the spec is in tact for the most part and is super fun.
Your graphics are amazing...god, cant wait to get a new computer.
How about 9.2.5?
So outlaw is just 4 buttons?
It always baffles me when I hear people say how fun sin is to play. It's worse than outlaw was at the beginning of the xpac, when you would just sit there waiting for energy regen half the time. This xpac has been my least favorite one for my rogue because it's just been do dreadful standing around waiting for energy. At least 7.2.5 seems to have smoothed out energy regen a bit, so that I can use abilities when adrenalin rush is on cooldown.
can i get the UI?
Hey Bellular, the audio volume levels on you videos have been low recently. Just an audio man letting a cool dude know to take a look ! :)
Cmon Bells you should have made this video like the demon hunter one you made... but keep up the good work dude!
Is it just me or death from above is SUPER buggy ? like at least 3 out of 10 times won't do the eviscerate damage after falling for me, it's a bit better if the target is standing still but on moving targets, make that a 7 out of 10 times.
wait what the hell are the talent he's using in sub? :o
So... why not upload in 3440x1440 resolution for people that have ultrawide monitors?
What happened to slice n dice?
Gone, thank god
dadly poison? O.o
That's IT! I'm re-rolling rogue!
Watching 21:9 content on a 21:9 monitor is awesome except when its exported as a 16:9 video and it black bars the black bars.
the video is about if its fun but all you show is some training dummy dps cycles and a clip of you fighting a boss.
