Trimui is an amazing brand in the world of retro portable systems (even with the limitations on his stock firmware). I hope for more updates in the future :)
Man, I've been on the fence about picking up a smart pro. Honestly interested in the smart (not pro) as well. They nail premium design at an affordable price
Great content as always i need a handheld to carry to the beach and play some old skool games. One that has a lot games and good working sticks and shoulders buttons like you said. Thanks for the content. 👍
It’s uses a 5,000 mAh battery and claims to get up to 5 hours of gameplay, but it’ll depend on the type of games being played. I haven’t put enough time into it yet to be sure if what they claim is true, but I can say the sleep function works well.
anyone know if the card on here the crossmix thing is the same as the one from litnxt? as in will it have Mazza bros and Zselda? i know im spelling it wrong.... just in case ninty is using some ai recognition thing? ive got my basket with this device in and i just cant decide on the colour yet so havent purchased it yet... also litnxt has the stock card as an option..... are the games and content on the stock card the same on the crossmix option just a different os?
I didn't see your question answered in the video- and you probably worked it out by now, but for future punters: SURWISH make the OS and they make the ROM set, so Litnxt and others are selling the same rom set with the OS that SURWISH put together. So if you buy the option with the SURWISH branding, you are getting the same ROM set. I haven't seen any content creators that point this out- they say stuff like Litnxt have "done" this- they only resell the sd card. So NO the stock OS with stock ROMs are not the same as the SURWISH ROMs- that is what you are paying extra for.
My bad. I think I misunderstood the question. I appreciate you clarifying. Something must’ve been going on when I gave this reply. I shouldn’t have been disrespectful.
Nifty little device. I probably prefer the black color too (has a bit of that classic PSP/Vita look). How’s the audio? It’s hard to tell from the video.
@PanRhei I have the black one with crossmix o.s. It does have psp/vita vibe deffo. 2 front facing stereo speakers, minimal bass, but I connect my megabass Bluetooth speaker to it and have it sat in my lap, it's brilliant!
I'm having some trouble playing PS1 games on TSP. Before I could play them but now they won't work at all. It only shows a black screen when I try to load it. What is the solution to playing them again?
Are you using the stock SD card? If so, it could be a bad card with corrupted files. That is the first thing you do with Chinese handhelds; replace the stock card with a good one. I’d recommend checking out the TrimUI Discord under Retro Handhelds server for specific advice. The people there are knowledgeable and helpful. Hopefully you can get it sorted out.
The function switch has been changed to be used for other options with CrossMix-OS, but the performance boost that it was initially designed to provide is now permanently there, from what I understand.
At the end of the day, you are playing video games via emulation. There is a lot of parity and competition at this price point. The only real question is, what games do you want to play. More importantly, what games do you want to play well.
form factor and ergonomics for me.... not really bothered about super highend or a specific psp title.... not at this price point... otherwise i would get a retroid or ayn... at this price point i want value for money and form factor and ergonomics... i know most devices play upto and beyond ps1... so if it has problems with the basics like gba snes etc then you have to adjust expectations.... example ive already got my eye on the gkd bubble in black just because it looks like a game gear!
I would not buy from LitNXT. It's a ripoff. Cross-Mix is open source and made freely available by the developer. The fact that LitNXT is charging for it is disgusting, and the developer is very upset with them. They try to hide the fact that they are selling it, by saying they are selling an SD card, but the SD card is overpriced. Aliexpress has much better prices.
Sorry for not explaining better. Later in the video there’s a chapter that breaks down what CrossMix-OS is. It’s a custom firmware that makes the TrimUI Smart Pro perform better and offers a better overall experience. Check the chapter I mentioned.

no it's dead. Promised open source and tricked community. So only CFW improvements can be done - emulators upstream
Awesome stuff mate. N64 on this size handheld looks like alot of fun. Hope your well.
I love this device. Im looking forward to the trimui brick. Hope it releases soon
Ditto. Ditto, and ditto! I love the build quality of TrimUI’s products, and I really do love the dome switches they use.
Nice in black. I admire this device.
Just bought it excited to try it
Nice!
Yeah..i gotta get me one of these! Lol thanks for the game play.
Looks nice. I really want one of these.

I love the Smart too. It’s probably my favorite mini device.
Great content as always i need a handheld to carry to the beach and play some old skool games. One that has a lot games and good working sticks and shoulders buttons like you said. Thanks for the content. 👍
Physical switch for quick settings mapping pretty nice.
I've been on the fence about this. I'm definitely interested in this. Hows the battery life?

Which one is better black or white
That’s a tough one. I love the classic TrimUI white, but I think I like the black a little better.
They all look great though.
@@OGTechNickis the giveaway over?

Watch the video and your question will be answered

Reminds me of a larger, more powerful PSP. I shall hunt for one as this looks interesting.

The audio is great. Stereo sound. Not much bass, but that’s to be expected. They sound really nice though. That’s why I left the background music on.

So many emulators! It's gonna be hard to figure out what to play haha
So true. It’s called choice paralysis haha
So we can we use the random feature for this purpose. 😅
Cool device. Like bigger screen
I'd really love one of those ;-)

Is the performance boost on during gameplay..?

@ aha, well I will attempt to wait patiently until my unit arrives so I can explore it myself. Thx
Great Video! How did you change the screens on NDS games? 🙏😊
Good question. I think I pressed L2.. I’ll have to go back and check. Thanks for watching!

I just finished recording my first impressions video for the GKD Bubble. Check it out tomorrow if you have a chance.
Please do you know if their OS optimisation is the Surwish version? I'm considering gogamegeek over MechDiy, but idk if it's Surwish.
It is Surwish
Pretty sure gogamegeek, mechdiy, and litnxt are really just one company
@@OGTechNick Thanks mate.
@@ryancarnes7516 gogamegeek seem different. Their pricing also is a bit cheaper. Mechdiy and litnxt is practically the same site.

with the correct setting i can play god of war ghost of sparta stable 20 to 30fps
.... I'd Love to have this especially seeing it play psp God Of War .... AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied
On my brother's, PSP plays like garbage & I've got the same OS. PSP actually plays better on my 35XX SP than my brother's TrimUI Smart Pro
Definitely buying my wife one.
Am not a game expert, what does the CrossMix mean?
Sorry for not explaining better. Later in the video there’s a chapter that breaks down what CrossMix-OS is. It’s a custom firmware that makes the TrimUI Smart Pro perform better and offers a better overall experience. Check the chapter I mentioned.
Subscribed and interested!!
Looks like it might be better than the psp.
Enter for the giveaway!;
Can we win it for a friend in the US?
I’ll think about it. I’d really like it to be a dedicated subscriber.
