"99% gacha players quit before getting their wanted character" is what I told myself before sinking my whole savings for Sad Cat V2. Sunk-cost fallacy is also real
Sunk-cost fallacy is quite an interesting concept. Our brains have that way of convincing ourselves that “because I’ve invested a lot of resources into X, the result of Y should come out soon“ when it probably is realistically not going to happen. But yes, Sad Cat 2 Electric Boogaloo is great :)
Jessica alter? That's literally what happened to me. I have to pull until I reach 150 pity which guarantees the featured operator, when you pull a 6-star. I remember spending 170 pulls just to get the sad Cat.
I like how you talk about pause screen skill activation while using Mostima S2. this is a very nice vid. the tips are short but on point. the explanation clarifies what newbie need to know without feeding them too much information and overwhelm them. it is nice to see good Arknights content creator
Another more complicated tip: Feel free to use support units to beat stages. Some recommendations for which units to borrow: If you do not have an E2 operator yet (I assume you at least have an E1 operator), then operators you borrow are capped at E1. Hence: Mountain is a great laneholder - he deals consistent high damage and heals himself, once you've deployed him for only 5 seconds. Dorothy can consistently do great Physical DPS against low defense enemies, and also has mines you can deploy to bind enemies, serving as a great panic button. Exusiai is even better, but lacks the mines; but she'll prioritize flying enemies so she's great in those stages. Typhon can consistently do a ton of Physical damage, even against high defense enemies, though she shines best against middling defense enemies. Eyjafjalla is a good consistent source of Arts damage, and is also jokingly called the best AoE Caster despite being in the Single Target Caster branch. Eyjafjalla the Hvit Aska is maybe the best medic. Hoshiguma tanks, really well. Texas Alter and Kirin R Yato are great sources of on-demand Arts and Physical damage respectively. They have reduced Reployment Time, allowing you to deploy them to assassinate someone, retreat them, and instantly deploy them again. Saga is great if you need DP. If you have an E2 operator already, those suggestions are still good (though, if the Mountain or Eyjafjalla you're borrowing are on their skill 3, they play out very differently), but you can also look to Chen the Holungday, a Sniper who shreds all enemies within her great range, Goldenglow, whose skill has infinite range, Ling, who can utilize summons to solo stages, Chongyue, Thorns, and Blaze are all great substitutes for Mountain who do things slightly differently. Mudrock and Penance are pretty expensive but they're basically Mountain but stronger Bagpipe is great if you need DP, and you're bringing other Vanguards, Surtr can shred enemies and has insane survivability, but loses health over time, and Mlynar deals an insane amount of damage, at the cost of doing nothing when his skill isn't active.
tips from me (even I'm new player too): use support operator for every stage and send them friend request as much as you can because in early game they provide you with high level operator from end game player so you can borrow many high level support operator later
Friend supports are great to use in general if you don’t particularly need a good auto-deploy for that stage, also for clearing challenge mode stages and other more difficult maps.
The motivation for this video comes from my current most viewed video (5 Arknights Tips I Wish I Knew Starting Out). Every time I see the video's thumbnail, I cringe a bit on the inside. So what better way to remedy that by making another video with an equally scuffed thumbnail.
Maybe we can consider mentioning about deployment order as well, with ranged units being deployed first and subsequently the melee units so that they'll be targeted first in most cases
Thanks for the tips! I'm a year 1 player and i even found some of these helpful. My mom started playing recently so i've been trying to help her out and make sure she makes better choices than i did when i first started, and even though we get stuck on some stages, its been going well!
I usually farm the lmd stages when I need to because I never have enough lmd (and I'm not spending $10) and I've already squeezed out every other potential source for obtaining them. The sanity cost is rather high, yeah, but frankly when you're impatient and don't really have other options I usually burn my sanity just to grind for them.
Hiya for LMD, the generally accepted method is also to farm it thru the base, using the gold instead of trying to farm for orudumn, it’s sanity free as well instead of you spending sanity elsewhere. Events also offer LMD at a better rate so do those when they come along 😊🙏, all the best in your grind though!
I usually get 50k lmd per day just from the base, and this is with the most barebones of optimization (getting ops with good base skills like tequila and bibeak to e2). By the time im done spending sanity to get the drop materials needed to upgrade an op i the base already give me enough to cover the cost. Unless youre adamant on upgrading everyone with a pair of boobs once every 3 days lmd is quite literally free money you conjure out of thin air
@@110montauk8 I typically try to hard focus on upgrading one character as quickly as I can, including M3 skills and modules, so I end up burning my lmd pretty quickly. Which I'm ashamed to say is ironic since I also admittedly don't optimize my lmd production (I just throw whoever fits) and I get closer to about 25k-30k a day from the base. I'm well aware that it's very inefficient but honestly I'm just very impatient on making my characters strong. It also gets me through my daily sanity quickly if I don't have much time to spend, but honestly I should start looking up how to grind lmd better.
@@zedleeftw6695 the thing is, i don't know where else to spend my sanity on. so i just dump on LMD since that's what i run short of most of the time. i get plenty of char upgrade mats from the shop
A squad based game, based on Ling. Also don't think you mentioned Pause Deploy? Which done by dragging out an operator and using the device/emulator back button while you are still holding onto the operator. This is a bit excessive but it's Contingency Contract season right now so it might help!
Doesn't even have to be pause deploy itself. Just pause-gaming in general is a nice habit to build. It allows one to keep pace with the map and make snap-commands.
honestly, I wish that I go to watch these type of content earlier. It would be so much easier for me so that I don't waste my resources on carnilian or something like that. anyway, good video, keep up the work
If you like Carnelian, she's worth it. Don't let the clowns that tell you she's bad put you off using her, sure she can be pretty hard to use and outperformed by other operators, but she's a good caster, and can take hits
Little bit extra about Arts damage, although the writing, art res can reach 100, the minimal damage of the arts damage is 1% so tehnically the maximum res is 99 even if its writing is 100
@@hafizhaditya2896 Oho, nice catch! I never really have the need or curiosity to do all that since reading the story and bashing my head to try and error a stage takes up too much of my brain power, lol.
5:35 "You might have already figured that out" I never did 😢 Thanks for showing that useful feature! I'm level 60 and i'm surprised that i didn't noticed something like that, i def lost many opportunitys but glad to know annihilation exist!
Base Tips there a lot style of base which usually common that player made are Trading Post | Factory | Power Plant 2 - 4 - 3 3 - 3 - 3 1 - 5 - 3 2 - 5 - 2 (is there more? i dont remember) Each setup has its pros and cons, but I don't recommend that new players focus on base first. It complicated. I recommend it when you have time to learn and resources to build that suits your daily gameplay style. There's a lot of people making guides for base. Lastly, base is Really important ngl PS: I use 2 - 4 - 3, I don't usually have time to play, which I do only 2 or 3 times per day. It suits me because I still get enough LMD and EXP tickets every day without needing to check base and swap operator. Both of the trading posts I set to LMD and 2 EXP factory and 2 gold bar factory. which for me is good because I don't run out of gold bar and EXP is also enough without needing to farm the LS stage. Thats why the video said the LS and CE stages are not worth it because you can get them on base, so it's better to use sanity to farm for material, chip, or red cert. Also, yeah, I don't make orundum farms; I only do it when I'm desperate to pull, but it took my whole day of my irl sanity just to farm rock tho If anyone wants to argue about my preferences of my base as I said, it suits me, not you.
newbie here. if the LMD and EXP Stage weren't recommended, then where does newbie supposed to get the huge amount of LMD and EXP needed to upgrade their rooster and progress the game while there's no active Event like current CC which not suitable for beginners?
It's "not reccomended" if you care about min-maxing the ressources you can get from each sanity point, but IMO as a newbi it shouldn't your focus yet, forcing yourself to not farm these because they are not reccomended when you realy need these ressources early on (especialy since it will take some time to get your base going) might slow your progress more than farming them despise it not being efficient would. I'd say you should reduce the amount of time you farm it as your base slowly build up.
Doing them in early account days is all good, but when your account starts to become established, that’s when you should start not doing those (only when you feel you need to)
Farm them if you need them. It's only a recommendation. Personally, I've been maxing my ops (main ones I often use first) which means I never get to over 1m+ LMD often. I'm (lvl120 account) at the point where the only thing that stops me from promoting every operator I want to is LMD. I do it as to not give myself the excuse that "if only my operators were stronger". Wouldn't recommend doing it for the whole team at early game though, since it WILL drain your LMD. edited for clarification
I still farm for EXP and LMD even at level 118 because my base simply isn't fast enough with 2 trading, 2 gold bar, 2 exp, and 3 power plant setup. I'll do annihilation or events first but usually spend the rest of my sanity on lmd.
I’ve missed out on a lot of credits I could’ve gotten from visiting friends. 😢 The even sadder thing is I only found out about it 1 day before watching this video.
the spreading of resources should only apply if you already have an e2 operator (ideally either Myrtle, Perfumer or Cutter) another great tip is unlocking and playing Under Tides to get Gladiia for free, even at e1 both her s1 and s2 are insanely useful and she can even work as a lane holder in a pinch and the stronger your account grows, the better she gets, once you get her to e2 and unlock her module she gives you account an insane power spike because you now not only have a super tanky Gladiia but also Andreana and Specter, who are both available from the regular pool and recruitment and chances are you'll have at least one of them after a couple months of playing, hell you could pick one (preferably Specter as she is more versatile) from the 5 star selector and as i mentioned unlocking Under Tides, make sure to spend your 2 points every week to unlock old events, Under Tides can be a bit tough for a fresh account but i'd still recommend it because of how useful Gladiia can be and after that just check online which even had which welfare and see if you need them right now to fill a gap in your team
It is not worth buying the 3* and 4* vouchers in tier two of the green cert shop. they are common enough that you will get all the ops with time, and any certs received do not make up for the massive cost. The headhunting permits are not worth it unless you are a whale, or very high level. Just use it for the materials. Also, for recruitment, it's not worth setting the time to 9:00:00 unless you have the Top op or Senior op tags, as you will probably just get a 3 star either way. Set it to 7:40:00, the highest time that can be set that guarantees a 3* or higher.
Recruitment Tags: Specialist, Fast-Redeploy, Shift, Nuker, Vanguard/DP-Recovery+Healing, Healing+Slow, Sniper/Caster/Ranged+Slow, Sniper/Caster/Ranged+Crowd Control: these are all guaranteed 4* and there's prolly more I missed Guaranteed 5* is Specialist/Fast-redeploy+Crowd Control = Projekt Red One that is not guranteed but is worth taking if you get crappy tags: Vanguard/DP-Recovery+DPS. This could either snag you a Scavenger or a Vigna. But 90% of the time, you'll prolly get Plume. Still worth tho since any other random combination sucks compared to this one If you get Top Operator tag and with also Guard and Defense tag, absolutely take it. I think that's one of the few (or maybe it's the only one) tags that actually guarantee a single 6* and it's Thorns. Otherwise, just pray you get what you want with the tags you get Edit: apparently there are a lot more other guaranteed 6* Top Op+Nuker = Chen Top Op+Fast-Redeploy = Phantom Top Op+Debuff = Ifrit Top Op+Shift = Weedy Top Op+Caster+DPS = Ceobe Top Op+Sniper+Crowd-Control = Rosa Top Op+Caster/AOE/Ranged+CC/Support or Top Op+Support+CC = Mostima Top Op+Defender/Defense+Healing/Support = Saria Top Op+Guard+Support = SilverAsh Top Op+Specialist+Support/Ranged = Aak Edit#2: Also wtf, there's even more guaranteed 5* tags. I suggest looking it up on the wiki gg for Arknights at this point. This just changed my life
Always get 180 yellow certificates prepared for your wanted operator. Arknights gacha system always knows the best about how to disappoint you. Once I met Mizuki and fell in love with him at first sight, but I had neither enough orundum nor 180 yellow ct to get him, ending up with an off-target Pozëmka.
I know it's for simplicity sake, but there are couole things I wanna add 8.) Yellow-Certs part For me, 38 pulls for 258 Yellow-certs is not a really good deals it won't guarantee you a 6 stars operators, let alone the new/rate-on one. I prefer to buy the an operator since it guarantee you new operator, even though the weakness from this thing is the fact you couldn't get newer operator (that are META) 9.) How to get Certs There is a mad way to get certs that I personally Iike to use if I don't have operator to build. It's by freaking farm Red-Certs & buy Red-Certs operators, get their duplicate + Green/Yellow-Certs. But I recommend to just buy the 5 stars one so that you can buy 6 stars operators. You don't want to do this, if you're a newbie. Since I said earlier "if I don't have operator to build". But you guys still has a long way to build your actual roaster 12.) Annihilation Please increases your Orundum cap ASAP. Don't let that "no guide" rule stopping you from clearing this. 300 Orundum/week may be small but you don't want to waste such currency jusy because you're lazy or stone-headed 15.) Base You can find & make your own set up for Trading Post, Factory, & Power Plant. But if you want to find the most efficient one, 2 Trading Post - 5 Factory - 2 Power Plant is one you want. Even though it's not balanced by the fact you can't upgrade other facilities. You also need to log in more frequently 17.) Place you wanna go Not just future events, but PLEASE check the CN banner list, since it will provide you rough knowledge of who/when an operator will be released in standard banner. I get it, it won't be the same when the time comes on us. But still, usually it only has 2-4 banner differences from the original schedule. This will also help you for who to buy in Yellow-Certs Now let me add more: 20.) READ For God's sake PLEASE read. No, not only the stage/mechanic but your own operators kit/ability. That way you can understand how do they work 21.) Watch guides/tutorial Not trying to talk about stage guides. But please just watch all the beginner guides in UA-cam either from this funny Kazimiers enjoyer guy or other creators. All of them do a great job at making guide. Don't forget to read the comment too since they could correct add more useful things
For tip 8 I also usually buy operators directly but that doesn't discredit how good of a deal pulling is. You're not typically dunping the 38 pulls on mumbo jumbo but for bigger banners like any of the seasonal limiteds in which case the drop from needing 300 pulls to 262 pulls for sparking is significant.
@@kyarumomochi5146 red certs aren't the same as green and yellow certs but if u do mean strictly red certs, you roughly 1 red cert per sanity (i say roughly since rng is a factor in every one of the red cert stages)
Nah I think the pulls are still better, rng can net you 6 stars in less pulls and more boost towards reaching pity, especially the abysmal limited pity
If you're new, that's fine. But if you're experienced, your base should be producing enough LMD and XP such that you'd be farming materials instead (and of course the events whenever they're active)
Please can someone help me with how to turn a factory into a trading post in your base. I have seen so many people have multiple trading posts while I have only one and I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it myself 😢
If I am reading your question correctly, you would want to first turn on “building mode”, then click on the thing you want to remove, and there should be a downgrade option. Hope this helps!
@@sharkyferret thank you so much for getting back to me!! It’s a bit tricky to explain but in your video when you showered your base you had 3 trading posts, while my base only has 1 and I was wondering if there is a way to turn other facilities into trading posts and vice versa. I looked into downgrading in the building mode but wouldn’t it just make the facility host less workers and consume less energy etc?
@@sunmis2416 what you would have to do is downgrade the thing completely, leaving it blank, then you can proceed to build your additional trading post.
The cargo lmd one is there even any other stage that give more lmd or more worth? Im doing it cause currently just need lmd. I'm notnew player i guess u could say mid to late game player whatever lvl108 acc count as. I heard this advice I've never seen anyone talk for alternative other then from events
There are no other stage that gives that much LMD, but most people main LMD income is in the base. Just manage them carefully & u don't need to worry about them anymore, despite the fact you just built 5 freaking 6 stars in a span of 1 month (definitely not me (lv. 99, starts playing at 15 April 2023))
@@helmifaiz4504 figured i kinda of want to farm it cause i need lmd rn but at the same time i want more orundum. Btw how do u know when star playing? Did u kept track or is there a way in game to check
@@randomperson4198go to your profile page (in "friends" section) & look into the left corner-above (above your assistants name). There is "hired" there. Mine is 2023-4-15 Also, if you atleast have alot of 6 stars operators FULLY built (Atleast M3 & mod lv.1) maybe you could farm the LMD stage although I prefer to just be patience & manage my base (2-5-2 btw) and... Don't need to worry for my LMD (& EXP) for a long time
2:40 its legit that they rage quit to the character they wanted example genshin its almost impossible to get a banner character while here atleast pull 50 even you didn't get character you still get the other one btw the tip6 is legit cuz i pot 6 texas alter and even pot 5 penance with hard save as a f2p
I’ll let you be the judge of that, but the benefit of e2 Myrtle is that you can M3 her skill 1, decreasing the SP cost and increasing the rate of DP which is her main selling point as an operator
Usually for the start of an account, it’s okay to do, if you need something, you should go and get it. The other main source other than cargo escort for LMD if your base function when you build it up, you get a lot of passive income.
I didn’t mention enough about it but: If you need to farm it (especially if you’re an early-mid game account), go for it. Event shops can also fill up that need pretty decently as you build up your base, the passive source of all that income.
2:32 What if I can’t save up? I really want to get Shu and Walter but with my addiction to spend 10 pulls the second I get it is a very big problem, is there any way to fix myself from doing it without going to the nearest therapist office?
Nah Just go Pull for them, the Only time i use Cert to Buy operator only for Eunectes and Lapipi Other than that i almost never save up and just pull when i want to pull ( i'm not really picky with ops either so that's probably help my case)
Yeah no you may wanna get help for that if it's so bad you can't even save up 10. If the idea that at the worst possible luck Shu and Wisadel will take 300 PULLS EACH to be guaranteed isn't the best deterrent, then uh... yeah. Good luck buddy..
And here I am lvl 117, deeply invested into the lore and everything watching a beginner's guide video Anyway Tip#1: get familiar with the banner schedule because getting a limited operator on a rerun is a pain and u dont want to be broke when a limited banner comes around Tip#2: if youre just starting out and u can somehow afford to buy a 4 star selector from the cert shop, buy myrtle if u dont have her and e2 her straight away, u wont regret it Tip#3: it really doesnt matter who you build as long as youre willing to learn how to use them efficiently because every operator has a use scenario, but focus on having a functional team at the start of the game
Just started this game and can I just say how awful it is that there isnt a restart button? Also game sux because I only have Lappland and Saria and used all my newbie pulls for nothing already.
I started playing when W is first released, and i have been stuck on Chapter 4 for ages. I think I have massive skill issue and generally dont have time to play... But I just cant quit Arknights after I have gotten almost all my favorite Operators...
Drill plans let you attempt stages without wasting your slowly regenerating sanity. It just lets you plan ahead before doing the real thing That’s all it is.
At the start you gave the tip to not use one OP, but gave the exception of Ling, which wqs my first OP on my new account and the only one i used for a while 😂😂 she can clear basically any stage before hazards become a thing
As F2P Always farm LMD until you don't need anymore😂 (I safe it 20m, so I can go farm another mats) And make sure as F2P don't try lvl up 90 to much, lvl 60 is enough to safe ur LMD 👌
wth is tip about farming LMD and operator xp? where else i can get same farming place? or if i go farm something else, how i should upgrade my operators without exp and LMD?
I didn’t explain nearly enough about that but, if you’re an early game/mid game account, go for it, but the base (as you build it up) & event shops can also fulfill that need!
Hi guys. Still new here. Can someone kindly help me how to increase the maximum orondum from annihilation? I heard the maximum is at 1800, but i only at 1750. Which stage i should clear to increase it, because i can't find the one which increase the maximum amount. 😅
every week you get a quest stage that give +weekly cap in annihilation (3 permanent missions may do that too. not sure). click on "collect" button, close to annihilation start, it should say it right there "+weekly cap" as reward. click on 1750/1800 in the interface it should tell you what you need to do to increase weekly cap iirc.
Here's how I do it: 1 - Tap on operator 2 - Pause while the skill prompt is up 2.5 - Unpause and pause (still while skill prompt is up) if you want to adjust the timing 3 - Activate!
New player here, thanks a lot. I don't know you can do multiple run with auto. As a f2P, I don't have much but I'm grateful for my low rarity units. Should I pull a bit on R6 banner? I don't care much about the Collab but I know they're the only limited banner...
R6 banner are strong but there are much more stronger characters that are coming such as Degenbrecher or Wisadel. Highly recommend on pulling those two especially for a new player
There’s an official arknights discord server (easily searchable) If you want a friend right now, I’ll give you mine! (PixelFerret#3055) Welcome to the game!
Ah yes, ima new player that has been playing since 4 years ago. Jokes aside, i appreciate you making this video so new players dont make the same mistake i do
New player here, been playing for like 5 days and I've done like 20 pulls on kernel. Why is the kernel banner a scam? I thought it was fine to pull on it to get the 5+ star within my first 10 pulls.
@@rolo1310 I'd pull to the guaranteed 5*+ but only on banners that arent kernel banners + have ops you want. The kernel banner only has any value for getting new units, which are mostly old and some powercrept. Also the blue certs you get are kinda bad since the blue cert shop sux and you aren't getting any distinctions, and the distinction shop is far better. Tbh 'x bad y good' isn't really a proper answer but you can kinda tell it isn't as good just by looking. Also there's plenty of other ways to obtain distinctions and green certs, mainly recruits, then you can further use those green certs to buy pulls, recruits for more distinctions/green certs, mats, you get it. Kernel banner ONLY gives blue certs (you cannot buy normal pulls with it) and basically forces you to miss out on new ops if you pull on it. Not worth at all. Especially as hg dials up the powercreep, and the obscene cost to spark a limited 6 star which only got the oldest 2 reduced from 300 to 200 after 5 years.
@@rolo1310 hey, there's nothing wrong with pulling on kernel banner as a newbie, since a lot of operators on there are still viable in the current day events and stuff like that. However, after getting a couple of six stars, you should (Especially during the Next ~5 months) only focus on the upcoming banners, because all of the operators on them are, well, meta defining. That means saving your orundum, pulls and originium for pulling fo these operators. You can find the upcoming banners on a bunch of arknights related sites or the arknights subreddit, but in case you don't want to look those things up, here's a summary of the upcoming banners: Reed the flame shadow banner: The most versatile medic currently, with an ability to deal massive damage by sandwiching an enemy in between two units and using S2, or dealing massive aoe damage with her S3 Ray banner: A versatile high damage per hit sniper with range extending, slowing and invisibility revealing deployable, an ability to push enemies with s1 and deal even more damage with s3 Shu, zuo le banner: Shu is a limited guardian defender with the highest healing potential in the game, while also having unmatched crowd control and extreme buffing capabilities. Zuo le is a great laneholder that deal massive damage and can solo most of the game's elites and bosses with his s3 Ela banner (collab with rainbow six siege): She has easy access to enemy debuffing and crown control with all of her skills, and she can use her deployable mines anywhere on the map. Do note that this banner may or may not rerun, because the arknights devs have to gain access to the licenses of r6s stuff, and if they don't acquire that... Well, then that's it. No more ela banner, but there's also a possibility that they might reacquire the license, just like they did it this Time (previously they got the license and released another r6s event, which came together with ash banner that had ash, blitz and frost operators in it) Ash banner (also an r6s collab banner that got a rerun because hypegriph managed to acquire the license to r6s a second time): She's a decent unit, same with the other ops that are on this banner, but they don't really compare to the units that are released after them. They're not particularly special aside from their potent stun abilities, and They're still very usable, so if your heart desires them, then go for it. Ascalon banner: She will have a rerun, so if you don't manage to snag her the first Time her banner appears, then don't worry, because her banner will rerun after a year. She's a very strong operators that has massive damage and slowing capabilities, but besides that there's not much else. She deals damage and slows and can have taunt with s3. Wišadel and logos banner: Both ops on this banner are extremely strong, but honestly, besides that, there's not much else. Wišadel is an unit that deals massive damage with her S3 (currently unmatched by any other operator), and she has unmatche survivability, but besides that, she's just an unit that dishes out infinity+1 damage. Logos is kinda the damage deal with his arts resistance shread, instakilling ops below a 150% of his attack with S1, and big damage with S2 and S3. They're both super strong units that are used in extremely challenging arknights content, so you will gain value out of pulling them, but besides that, They're not that complex and don't have any notable traits outside of tons and tons of damage and some crowd control. And.... That's about it. Honestly, just pull anyone you wish on the Next six months, because all of the upcoming units are broken, and good luck on your gacha. Try to save up, don't waste you pull resources on stuff like normal banners… and that's about it. Good luck on your pulls, doctor
Im pretty sure you lost everyone on the certshop part, who didnt already know their way around. anyway, here is 3 beginner tips from me: -don't let your operators get defeated, instead retreat them just before they go down. you will typically get at least 10 dp back from that, which is like an entire vanguards skill activation. -farm the event stages, even if you can only beat the first level. the event shop alone offers much better value/sanity than any normal stage. -don't promote Kafka to E1 unless you know what you're doing, as it may cause permanent account damage.
@@rexnatori Yes. Her DP cost goes up by 2 when you promote her, and you usually use her for her Skill 1 and don't care about its damage. Though, if her Skill 2 sounds fun, 2 DP doesn't completely ruin her ability to use Skill 1
I think it’s almost comical JUST HOW MUCH content a squad of only E1 max level 3 stars can clear. The game literally gives you them very freely for a reason. You actually can’t go wrong early on just building 3 stars for a bit. A handful of 3 stars STILL get used heavily in the meta like melantha, Kroos, and midnight.
Arknights's newbie experience is maybe one of the worst experiences in gacha's. LMD and Mats are biggest issue, wrong investment will make your progress stuck for days. If you're okay to watch a video guide (not everyone like it), just build the operators that used in that guide. If you're not, then just build the all of the 3 star with one or two 4 star ( DPS and Holder).
Tip - 14. I somewhat disagree. If you have excess of whatever material you can think of (like me) and are basically out of LMD / EXP (I raise a lot of chars / modules / level 90) then honestly... farming CE-6 is very nice. Yes, level 90 is a huge cost but I don't mind because I like characters at their absolute highest strength (not including pot). I also only level 90 the characters I really like, I have a full page of 90s and then some though. I personally don't farm materials from normal stages as I just don't really need to (I have 100-150+ of almost all T3 materials, except the most recent two). Normally I tend to spend a lot of sanity in red cert / chip stages just farming a stockpile. Also, I'm basically a day 1 player.
If you mean recharge your sanity (your energy) then no, the game won’t be hard. A lot of the satisfaction from this game is figuring out how to beat stages, and your account will only get stronger overtime.
@@sharkyferret but its better to have originite prime then orundum u could turned them into energy too. People might change their mind later so having originite prime is alot better then turning it immediately.
Nah! Beginners should use Originate Primes for pulls, that's what I did. Most skins will have a rerun. I have most of the skins now. But when I started playing the game way back in August 2020, I prioritized pulling over skins when I was a beginner. When you reach the point where your account is already strong enough, then you can start spending on skins.
Couldn't agree more on tip 5, such a rarity in gacha games that low-rarity ops are actually useful (some even better than the higher-rarity ones) and is more than enough to clear (almost) all of the contents in the game.
Don’t spend sanity on money or exp cards? Then what? I’ve been playing for 5 years, i have 550+ of literally every blue and purple upgrade mat and dozens of the max ones. I basically just max out ops as a thing to do now and that’s where the infinite need for money and cards comes in. It’s fair to say 90% of my sanity goes here.
@@sharkyferret yes, i will, but i was genuinely asking… like if you have everything, there’s not much else sanity is used for. You get your class tokens and participate in any events of course, but other than that, you’re just using it on weekly orundum farm and well… money and exp :) If you had everything you needed, what would you use your sanity for? This is why it’s confusing to hear that the community apparently thinks it’s not good to use sanity in those missions. Now don’t get me wrong, those missions suck, it’s true, huge sanity costs for a meagre reward, but if your goal is upgrading ops, often times you have no choice.
@@MrMannerless the reason why LMD & EXP farms are not worth it is because you can get alot of it from base AND the fact that most people still broke on Upgrade Materials If you have pretty much any materials to cover up the cost of upgrading *three* 6 stars operators, than you could say that you're not that broke on Material So...? LMD & EXP farms are the only good choice there, especially if you have alot of problem with it. My LMD & EXP pretty much would last for a pretty long time so that's why I don't farm them. But holy hell I'm broke in material & skill summary. Therefore I should farm them.
@@MrMannerless at least for me, when I don’t really know what to farm for, I usually default to materials I’m running low on (cause I tend to run out of a certain one), or red certs for the inevitable moment when we get new red cert shop operators (plus the module block goodies) I guess if you truly and genuinely have nothing else to farm for, honestly I’d say go for those exp chips/lmd, why not.

Cheers mate, happy to hear it!
This is perfect! Was just planning on starting playing and you posted this
Welcome to the game, and good luck with getting started!
Another more complicated tip: Feel free to use support units to beat stages. Some recommendations for which units to borrow:
If you do not have an E2 operator yet (I assume you at least have an E1 operator), then operators you borrow are capped at E1. Hence:
Mountain is a great laneholder - he deals consistent high damage and heals himself, once you've deployed him for only 5 seconds.
If you have an E2 operator already, those suggestions are still good (though, if the Mountain or Eyjafjalla you're borrowing are on their skill 3, they play out very differently), but you can also look to
Chen the Holungday, a Sniper who shreds all enemies within her great range,
Goldenglow, whose skill has infinite range, Ling, who can utilize summons to solo stages,
Chongyue, Thorns, and Blaze are all great substitutes for Mountain who do things slightly differently. Mudrock and Penance are pretty expensive but they're basically Mountain but stronger
Bagpipe is great if you need DP, and you're bringing other Vanguards,
Surtr can shred enemies and has insane survivability, but loses health over time,
and Mlynar deals an insane amount of damage, at the cost of doing nothing when his skill isn't active.
Additional on Mylnar, every ranged attack enemy will prioritize him as a target due to his taunt and return some damage to them when attacking him.
there really isnt a Maybe on Eyjalter being the best medic in the game 😅
tips from me (even I'm new player too):
use support operator for every stage and send them friend request as much as you can because in early game they provide you with high level operator from end game player so you can borrow many high level support operator later
Friend supports are great to use in general if you don’t particularly need a good auto-deploy for that stage, also for clearing challenge mode stages and other more difficult maps.
what about farm stages tho

Base Tips
there a lot style of base which usually common that player made are
Trading Post | Factory | Power Plant
2 - 4 - 3
3 - 3 - 3
1 - 5 - 3
2 - 5 - 2
(is there more? i dont remember)
Each setup has its pros and cons, but I don't recommend that new players focus on base first. It complicated. I recommend it when you have time to learn and resources to build that suits your daily gameplay style. There's a lot of people making guides for base. Lastly, base is Really important ngl
PS: I use 2 - 4 - 3, I don't usually have time to play, which I do only 2 or 3 times per day. Also, yeah, I don't make orundum farms; I only do it when I'm desperate to pull, but it took my whole day of my irl sanity just to farm rock tho
If anyone wants to argue about my preferences of my base as I said, it suits me, not you.
I use 2-4-3 base, got myself fresh 60k LMD once 12hour
I never ran out of LMD
newbie here.
if the LMD and EXP Stage weren't recommended,
then where does newbie supposed to get the huge amount of LMD and EXP needed to upgrade their rooster and progress the game while there's no active Event like current CC which not suitable for beginners?
From the base and by doing missions. IS also gives out pretty decent rewards.
Been playing Arknights for two years and I'm still watching this.
Glad you decided to :)
I’ve missed out on a lot of credits I could’ve gotten from visiting friends. 😢

Man
Two things i can say
Your new player vids helped a lot
And i'm happy i had enough yellow certs to get Silverdad
Now all i need is uncle
Happy to help, and Uncle is fantastic!
the spreading of resources should only apply if you already have an e2 operator (ideally either Myrtle, Perfumer or Cutter)
another great tip is unlocking and playing Under Tides to get Gladiia for free, even at e1 both her s1 and s2 are insanely useful and she can even work as a lane holder in a pinch and the stronger your account grows, the better she gets, once you get her to e2 and unlock her module she gives you account an insane power spike because you now not only have a super tanky Gladiia but also Andreana and Specter, who are both available from the regular pool and recruitment and chances are you'll have at least one of them after a couple months of playing, hell you could pick one (preferably Specter as she is more versatile) from the 5 star selector
and as i mentioned unlocking Under Tides, make sure to spend your 2 points every week to unlock old events, Under Tides can be a bit tough for a fresh account but i'd still recommend it because of how useful Gladiia can be and after that just check online which even had which welfare and see if you need them right now to fill a gap in your team
i think its better invest in 4stars first + few 6stars to carry you further
It is not worth buying the 3* and 4* vouchers in tier two of the green cert shop. they are common enough that you will get all the ops with time, and any certs received do not make up for the massive cost. The headhunting permits are not worth it unless you are a whale, or very high level. Just use it for the materials.
Also, for recruitment, it's not worth setting the time to 9:00:00 unless you have the Top op or Senior op tags, as you will probably just get a 3 star either way. Set it to 7:40:00, the highest time that can be set that guarantees a 3* or higher.
Tip 1: it can't be done with just one operator. Wisadel: hold my beer.
Recruitment Tags:
Specialist, Fast-Redeploy, Shift, Nuker, Vanguard/DP-Recovery+Healing, Healing+Slow, Sniper/Caster/Ranged+Slow, Sniper/Caster/Ranged+Crowd Control: these are all guaranteed 4* and there's prolly more I missed
Guaranteed 5* is Specialist/Fast-redeploy+Crowd Control = Projekt Red
One that is not guranteed but is worth taking if you get crappy tags: Vanguard/DP-Recovery+DPS. This could either snag you a Scavenger or a Vigna. But 90% of the time, you'll prolly get Plume. Still worth tho since any other random combination sucks compared to this one
If you get Top Operator tag and with also Guard and Defense tag, absolutely take it. I think that's one of the few (or maybe it's the only one) tags that actually guarantee a single 6* and it's Thorns. Otherwise, just pray you get what you want with the tags you get
Edit: apparently there are a lot more other guaranteed 6*
Top Op+Nuker = Chen
Top Op+Fast-Redeploy = Phantom
Top Op+Debuff = Ifrit
Top Op+Shift = Weedy
Top Op+Caster+DPS = Ceobe
Top Op+Sniper+Crowd-Control = Rosa
Top Op+Caster/AOE/Ranged+CC/Support or Top Op+Support+CC = Mostima
Top Op+Defender/Defense+Healing/Support = Saria
Top Op+Guard+Support = SilverAsh
Top Op+Specialist+Support/Ranged = Aak
Edit#2: Also wtf, there's even more guaranteed 5* tags. I suggest looking it up on the wiki gg for Arknights at this point. This just changed my life
That's why I didn't list them out! They change over time (as the recruitment pool updates) and there are online resources for it!
0:50 i almost thought i was watching SUPAHH
Always get 180 yellow certificates prepared for your wanted operator. Arknights gacha system always knows the best about how to disappoint you. Once I met Mizuki and fell in love with him at first sight, but I had neither enough orundum nor 180 yellow ct to get him, ending up with an off-target Pozëmka.
I know it's for simplicity sake, but there are couole things I wanna add
8.) Yellow-Certs part
For me, 38 pulls for 258 Yellow-certs is not a really good deals it won't guarantee you a 6 stars operators, let alone the new/rate-on one. I prefer to buy the an operator since it guarantee you new operator, even though the weakness from this thing is the fact you couldn't get newer operator (that are META)
9.) How to get Certs
There is a mad way to get certs that I personally Iike to use if I don't have operator to build.
But you guys still has a long way to build your actual roaster
12.) Annihilation
Please increases your Orundum cap ASAP. Don't let that "no guide" rule stopping you from clearing this. 300 Orundum/week may be small but you don't want to waste such currency jusy because you're lazy or stone-headed
15.) Base
You can find & make your own set up for Trading Post, Factory, & Power Plant. But if you want to find the most efficient one, 2 Trading Post - 5 Factory - 2 Power Plant is one you want. Even though it's not balanced by the fact you can't upgrade other facilities. You also need to log in more frequently
17.) Place you wanna go
Not just future events, but PLEASE check the CN banner list, since it will provide you rough knowledge of who/when an operator will be released in standard banner. I get it, it won't be the same when the time comes on us. But still, usually it only has 2-4 banner differences from the original schedule. This will also help you for who to buy in Yellow-Certs
Now let me add more:
20.) READ
For God's sake PLEASE read. No, not only the stage/mechanic but your own operators kit/ability. That way you can understand how do they work
21.) Watch guides/tutorial
Not trying to talk about stage guides. But please just watch all the beginner guides in UA-cam either from this funny Kazimiers enjoyer guy or other creators. All of them do a great job at making guide. Don't forget to read the comment too since they could correct add more useful things
20.) I love how reading is a legitimate tip from most of us who in fact, don’t read.
21.) I’ll take that regard as a compliment, thanks! 👍

Where to farm LMD if not in a cargo escort?
Usually for the start of an account, it’s okay to do, if you need something, you should go and get it. The other main source other than cargo escort for LMD if your base function when you build it up, you get a lot of passive income.
Why is cargo escort and tactical drill not worth farming for?
It feels painfully slow but I don't know a better alternative
I didn’t mention enough about it but:
If you need to farm it (especially if you’re an early-mid game account), go for it. Event shops can also fill up that need pretty decently as you build up your base, the passive source of all that income.

If you mean the practice plans, there is a button left of the start button when you select a stage
@@sharkyferret I don't what it was. Just type what it is
Drill plans let you attempt stages without wasting your slowly regenerating sanity. It just lets you plan ahead before doing the real thing That’s all it is.
@@sharkyferret oh wow it's there drill plan. Thankss!!!!!
One more. How can you add friend?
Arknights is very generous with gacha currency, if you do dailies+weeklies+annihilation you'll get over 20 rolls per month
@@blackknightz5036 srry.... I cant see how 20 per month is a lot
At the start you gave the tip to not use one OP, but gave the exception of Ling, which wqs my first OP on my new account and the only one i used for a while 😂😂 she can clear basically any stage before hazards become a thing
As F2P
Always farm LMD until you don't need anymore😂 (I safe it 20m, so I can go farm another mats)
And make sure as F2P don't try lvl up 90 to much, lvl 60 is enough to safe ur LMD 👌
wth is tip about farming LMD and operator xp? where else i can get same farming place? or if i go farm something else, how i should upgrade my operators without exp and LMD?
I didn’t explain nearly enough about that but, if you’re an early game/mid game account, go for it, but the base (as you build it up) & event shops can also fulfill that need!
@@sharkyferret thanks for explaining
You’re welcome! Sorry for not explaining properly in the first place!
Hi guys. Still new here.
Can someone kindly help me how to increase the maximum orondum from annihilation?
I heard the maximum is at 1800, but i only at 1750.
Which stage i should clear to increase it, because i can't find the one which increase the maximum amount. 😅
If I recall, it may be from completing the current rotating annihilation map.
every week you get a quest stage that give +weekly cap in annihilation (3 permanent missions may do that too. not sure). click on "collect" button, close to annihilation start, it should say it right there "+weekly cap" as reward.
click on 1750/1800 in the interface it should tell you what you need to do to increase weekly cap iirc.
Okay well HOW DO YOU FNCKING ACTIVATE SKILLS WHEN PAUSED I BEEN PLAYING FOR THREE YEARS I WANNA DO IT SO BAD ToT
Here's how I do it:
1 - Tap on operator
2 - Pause while the skill prompt is up
2.5 - Unpause and pause (still while skill prompt is up) if you want to adjust the timing
3 - Activate!
@@YJoker I see. maybe I'll keep saving then
@@helmifaiz4504 Thank you, I will look back at my roster first thing first. I do lack a strong sniper and debuffer so I might consider it!
For tip #1 if you have thorns pour of your resources to thorns I guarantee you won't regret it
is there any discord that i can join? Im new here wanting to make a friend in arknight
There’s an official arknights discord server (easily searchable)

Ah yes, ima new player that has been playing since 4 years ago.
Jokes aside, i appreciate you making this video so new players dont make the same mistake i do
I dont remember if you said this but DO NOT PULL THE KERNEL BANNER
It is a scam
You can find the upcoming banners on a bunch of arknights related sites or the arknights subreddit, but in case you don't want to look those things up, here's a summary of the upcoming banners:
Reed the flame shadow banner:
The most versatile medic currently, with an ability to deal massive damage by sandwiching an enemy in between two units and using S2, or dealing massive aoe damage with her S3
Ray banner:
A versatile high damage per hit sniper with range extending, slowing and invisibility revealing deployable, an ability to push enemies with s1 and deal even more damage with s3
Shu, zuo le banner:
Shu is a limited guardian defender with the highest healing potential in the game, while also having unmatched crowd control and extreme buffing capabilities. Zuo le is a great laneholder that deal massive damage and can solo most of the game's elites and bosses with his s3
Ela banner (collab with rainbow six siege):
She has easy access to enemy debuffing and crown control with all of her skills, and she can use her deployable mines anywhere on the map. Do note that this banner may or may not rerun, because the arknights devs have to gain access to the licenses of r6s stuff, and if they don't acquire that... Well, then that's it. No more ela banner, but there's also a possibility that they might reacquire the license, just like they did it this Time (previously they got the license and released another r6s event, which came together with ash banner that had ash, blitz and frost operators in it)
Ash banner (also an r6s collab banner that got a rerun because hypegriph managed to acquire the license to r6s a second time):
She's a decent unit, same with the other ops that are on this banner, but they don't really compare to the units that are released after them. They're not particularly special aside from their potent stun abilities, and They're still very usable, so if your heart desires them, then go for it.
Ascalon banner:
She will have a rerun, so if you don't manage to snag her the first Time her banner appears, then don't worry, because her banner will rerun after a year. She's a very strong operators that has massive damage and slowing capabilities, but besides that there's not much else. She deals damage and slows and can have taunt with s3.
Wišadel and logos banner:
Both ops on this banner are extremely strong, but honestly, besides that, there's not much else.
Im pretty sure you lost everyone on the certshop part, who didnt already know their way around. anyway, here is 3 beginner tips from me:
-don't let your operators get defeated, instead retreat them just before they go down. you will typically get at least 10 dp back from that, which is like an entire vanguards skill activation.
-farm the event stages, even if you can only beat the first level. the event shop alone offers much better value/sanity than any normal stage.
-don't promote Kafka to E1 unless you know what you're doing, as it may cause permanent account damage.
Ahhhh, my endgame account bias strikes! Thanks for the input on the certs.
Why is E1ng Kafka bad? Is it the DP cost?
@@rexnatori Yes. Her DP cost goes up by 2 when you promote her, and you usually use her for her Skill 1 and don't care about its damage. Though, if her Skill 2 sounds fun, 2 DP doesn't completely ruin her ability to use Skill 1
damn right on time I just started playing the game but can't play it everyday so it sucks
I just E2 lvl 60 my ling then borrow skalter when i just started 😅😅😅
Ok l don't recharge so this game will be hard for me?
If you mean recharge your sanity (your energy) then no, the game won’t be hard. A lot of the satisfaction from this game is figuring out how to beat stages, and your account will only get stronger overtime.
@@sharkyferret I mean using actual money on the game
As a person who was F2P for the first 10 months of playing, it won’t be too hard. You’ll also find many F2P (low rarity) clears out there.
@@sharkyferret nice thanks
Me level 120 watching this because of curiousity.
Oh also you forgot dont spend the originite prime keep it that way for skins dont immediately convert them until u need them
Ah yes, the skins gotta love those. Guess that depends on preference and if the person actually cares about getting them.
When you reach the point where your account is already strong enough, then you can start spending on skins.
tips for gacha
You don't need a year of saving to get 300 pull most of the time 6 months is enough I done it myself multiple times
Couldn't agree more on tip 5, such a rarity in gacha games that low-rarity ops are actually useful (some even better than the higher-rarity ones) and is more than enough to clear (almost) all of the contents in the game.
1. Get Ling
2. Pour everything into Ling
3. Slowly level up other operators as you want
indeed ling all the way...

There’s nothing stopping you from doing that. Play however you like!
@@sharkyferret yes, i will, but i was genuinely asking… like if you have everything, there’s not much else sanity is used for.
You get your class tokens and participate in any events of course, but other than that, you’re just using it on weekly orundum farm and well… money and exp :)
If you had everything you needed, what would you use your sanity for? This is why it’s confusing to hear that the community apparently thinks it’s not good to use sanity in those missions.
Now don’t get me wrong, those missions suck, it’s true, huge sanity costs for a meagre reward, but if your goal is upgrading ops, often times you have no choice.
@@MrMannerless the reason why LMD & EXP farms are not worth it is because you can get alot of it from base AND the fact that most people still broke on Upgrade Materials
If you have pretty much any materials to cover up the cost of upgrading *three* 6 stars operators, than you could say that you're not that broke on Material
So...? LMD & EXP farms are the only good choice there, especially if you have alot of problem with it.
My LMD & EXP pretty much would last for a pretty long time so that's why I don't farm them. But holy hell I'm broke in material & skill summary. Therefore I should farm them.
@@MrMannerless at least for me, when I don’t really know what to farm for, I usually default to materials I’m running low on (cause I tend to run out of a certain one), or red certs for the inevitable moment when we get new red cert shop operators (plus the module block goodies)
I guess if you truly and genuinely have nothing else to farm for, honestly I’d say go for those exp chips/lmd, why not.
