I was so glad to find this, I just got this die yesterday and I cut it out in card stock just to figure things out before using either mat board or chipboard, I was iffy on various things but you explained everything really well. I was mildly upset that the paper, plates etc, weren't big enough to cut the whole die at once but now I know I only have to cut sections. The Speedball is a brayer, just so you know, I have 1 too. They've very useful for tons of things. I'm hoping I can make several shopping list books out of these, like for books, craft supplies and whatever else I can think of, now I just need to figure out how to print on the pages before cutting them, or something. Thanks so much.
It is hard to find any videos nowadays how to put this particular thing together. New to these and I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. Now that I've seen it, it is simple. That's how we learn. :) Thank you!!! I want to see the 'insides' done as well, so I'll check your other videos. I picked this die up from Sizzix in one of their mega sales, and I also see that there are several other pocket and journal dies available. I was thinking of trying to turn this into an interactive folio. Wish me luck.
Hi, Amy. What is the largest scoreboard die does Eileen Hull make? It can be a notebook, journal, or album die. I just want to order the one which is the largest. I would like to see a UA-cam comparing the different sizes.
I just received this die, and have other EH notebook dies as well. Would you please specify the brand of black chipboard you used. I don't get the perfect spine like you did as mine always crack, even when I use the Sizzix brand of chipboard.
Hi Linda! I purchased the chipboard from joann.com. Here's the link: www.joann.com/grafix-12inx12in-medium-weight-chipboard-sheets-25pk-black/2079317.html. Yikes, it's a bit pricey, but I do like it. I've heard it can be trial and error to get a good spine cut with Eileen's dies. My method is to not cover the spine with designer paper and I cut on a Sizzix Tim Holtz Vagabond with two regular cutting plates to make my sandwich. Let me know if you get it and it works for you.
@@MyTeddyboo Luckily I already have some Grafix 6x6 chipboard. I followed the instructions from Sizzix to use the crease mat on top, and this time I did get a good cut on the spine area. Also, I like your method of not covering the spine with designer paper since it will surely crack. Thank you for your reply!

Can you tell me where you purchased the black chipboard?
Will that die work with the Sizzix Big Shot? Great Tutor
colorfulmind 1 Thank you. Yes it will. If you have extended cutting pads that would make it easier.

I’ve also had trouble with the scoring marks cracking. When I used the crease mat, my cut lines didn’t cut all the way through
