My uncle, when I was 5, tossed me into the water to teach me to swim. A wave was on it's way in and it caught me, dragging my face across the stones as it went back out taking me with it. My dad jumped in just before I drowned and I am terrified of going into water where my feet can't touch bottom. So please people, do not just throw your child into water or you can give them a phobia that will last a lifetime!
