What Is It Like Riding a Bike Up The Virginia Creeper / Mountain Trail⁉️

In this video I take my bicycle on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Riding my bike not down, but up the mountain was an experience. It was hard but I did it, I’m glad to have documented my journey and I hope you can take something from it.

63 and rode it from Abingdon to the NC line in April '24, then back down to Damascus before the rain got to me. Stopped and walked the bike for a few hundred yards cause I just got tired of pedaling! The climb is not for the faint-of-heart, but the ride back down to Damascus is worth it. Kudos to you for the uphill ride; people going downhill looked at me like I was crazy!😅

Wow, that’s one heck of a ride you went on. Now I have rode multiple times up and every time it is exciting. This video was my first time riding up and it was extra special (maybe the rain played a part or maybe I didn’t think I could until I did) either way you’re right, feeling the wind on the way back down is worth it.
