Having played some ss14 it's nice to see it taking shape and at long last we can move away from the jank that was Byond. But Byond was not all bad, it was simple and meant people with limited programming talent could build and contribute to things and it really helped foster some community spirit. I hope SS14 goes the same way.
I just wanna say, Mr Tex/ Mr. Checkers, that your videos have and are getting me through some tough times. My dad got through a pretty serious surgery and the waiting is scary, videos like these keep my mind off bad thoughts. Thank you for your work and I wish you and your friends a fantastic week.

It's been a bit since Mr. Tex has uploaded an SS13 vid. I remember whe used to upload these all the time, and i still crave maple-flavored bacon logs. Still, I prefer the more sporadic uploads of it, knowing that he isn't burning the candle at both ends anymore.
SS14 is pretty lightweight... I know servers can be HOSTED off Raspberry Pis... not as sure about the client... Website says 64-bit x86 machine and OS, 2GB RAM, OpenGL 3.3, 512MB disk space. Linux needs OpenAL and Freetype (might have another dependency or two to get the MIDI working), Windows apparently needs Windows 10 1607 or above and the VC++ 2015 Redistributable installed. I don't know much about your Chromebook, but as long as it's 64-bit x86 it should probably work? Unfortunately, they've only got ARM builds of the Linux headless server, not the client.
