14:35 is a great demo with the red car approaching in your left lane and is viewable in your side mirror right up until it’s side by side with you. Very nice work!
Really cool product, nice that it's easy to install also. totally agree with you about the blind spot monitoring. It should be a warning light in the mirror like every other manufacturer. having the stupid light in the center when you're supposed to be changing lanes and looking in your side mirror and looking over your shoulder is just absolutely ridiculous.

I have always said that the large curved wooden dashboard behind the Captain and the First Officer ( #1) from Star Trek the Next Generation, is the inspiration for the Model 3’s wood veneer dashboard.
Great video ... I just installed the blue version on a 2020 M3 AWD ... it is much easier to access the mirror if you extend the side that is furthest from the car body. The OEM mirrors easily popped-off and the new ones installed just as quickly. Wish I had these installed when I drove across the country (west coast to east coast and back)!!!

Excellent, excellent video! I’m really surprised that you never noticed your self dimming side mirrors. Your replacement mirrors are glass, just like your originals, correct? Plastic mirrors will look the same, but will scratch easily.
Hi Erik, cool video. On the Hansshow site, the drop down for the Model 3 and Model Y are together, but the mirrors are not the same shape on Model Y and Model 3. Model Y mirror is taller than Model 3.
I ordered this item and they sent me the M3 version. Apparently they didn't know there was a difference in size. They told me to order a mirror set from tesla and send it to them so they can produce them. I found that strange. They asked me for dimensions so I sent measurements. They said it'd take 2-3 weeks to make.
I'll be taking delivery of my Tesla Model 3 in October. This may very well be my one and only manual install upgrade as far as replacing factory parts. Thanks for this video!
These look great, and I ordered a pair for my model Y. Was supposed to be here 9/9, but they showed up 9/21---and even then, for a model 3 and not a Y. Got an email into Hansshow, but so far, no response!
They just removed Model Y from their website. I have a feeling they assumed the Model 3 and Model Y would share the same mirrors. China doesn’t have the Model Y yet for them to test fit. I have a feeling that when they reply they will offer you a refund. I just removed Model Y from my video title so I don’t mislead anyone else. That’s a bummer. I was excited for all the Model Y owners getting these. I’m sure they’ll eventually get them in stock but we’ll have to wait and see what they reply back to you.

I do not have tint on my windows. I'm hearing that some of the new Model Ys are now shipping with the auto-dimming side mirrors like my factory ones I removed. Does yours have that line around the edge as mine did? If so...I hear people hate the auto-dimming mirrors once they put tint on their windows. The mirrors darken way too much. I would wait a while before ordering side mirrors for the Model Y. The first run of those mirrors were the same mirrors shipping for Model 3, and they aren't an exact fit. They're made in China, and there were no Model Y in China to test fit them when they were first released. I think they're working on that now. Try emailing them first to see when they have them ready for the Model Y. They may already be ready, but I haven't heard anything new about it.

I turned down a 69xxx because the news just came out about the mirrors and my mode 3 that I’m trading in has them. But I’m just ready for the car. I’ll just take it no matter what it has. I really need these for the Tesla Model Y! I've got an email into Hanshow now asking if they indeed have Model Y mirrors. The website indicates the Model3/ModelY together which I'm pretty sure is incorrect. I hope they get Model Y ones soon!
I've notified Hansshow, and they're looking into it. They are located in China, and I don't think the Model Y has made it over there quite yet for them to test, so they are having people in the US test it out. The glass may fit, but there may be a larger gap at the top because it's not a perfect fit. If I hear back from them, I'll let people know.
I believe it was a cost savings move by Tesla. I’ll put it this way, auto dimming is cool and so is wide angle view. You have to ask yourself what is more important to you, less glare at night or less blind spots day and night? I went with less blind spots. Do I wish I could have both? Sure. But since I can’t, I went with the feature that was more important to me.
You did not mention that by installing this way you have cut the lights from the light on the side of the door stop blinking and to overcome this you have to open the inside of the door, and maybe affects autopilot for those who use it. To do a complete installation you need a car electrician if you are not one yourself
Love our new Model Y but I wish Tesla would have employed the normal way to implement “blind spot warnings”. I have almost collided with 2 vehicles in my first 30 days of ownership. So I’ll need to buy these to fix this problem. I have tinted windows, do I need the “blue” dimming mirrors? Thanks
I don’t think you need the blue tint if your windows are already tinted. The blue helps reduce glare. If you don’t have glare now, then your tint is doing it’s job.
Are these anything like the OEM Tesla uses on the European models? Seems like they're flat on the body side and convex long the outer edge. The one you're showing seems to be curved from edge to edge.

My 2020 performance M3 have this feature but I never cared about it as much as having a wider angle mirror. The blind spots on the M3 are the worse I have seen in any car I have owned and it's problemtic for sure! I hope Tesla works now camera on turn signal feature, it's a must feature they shouldn't wait on, it's a saftey concern.

Without the dimming mirror function, how do you feel the blue anti glare performs at night? Do you need to squint your eyes often? I hate how the OEM mirrors have the "ring" around the dimming area that does not get dark and as cars drive by, the headlight glare hits me right in the eyes
I have no issues with night vision or glares, and no squinting required. That being said, everyone's eyes are different, so you may have different results if you're more sensitive to light. I have not had any of those issues though. I'll put it this way, if I bought a new Tesla tomorrow, I would have no problem buying these mirrors as one of the first mods. I really like them a lot.

Noticed your heads up display. You must like if your still using. Do you leave on dash when you get out and put back on when you enter? Have they updated at all since you bought?
I "like" it, but don't "love" it. Love will come once they add features like navigation. They haven't updated it yet. I'll keep you posted when they do though. A funny thing about growing older is eyesight. My near sight is starting to go, so placing this further back on the dash allows me to clearly see the speedometer without the need for bifocals. #oldmanproblems

White is just regular glass, and may be a good option if your windows are tinted. Blue is slightly tinted to help reject glare from headlights behind you. I have the blue ones, and love it. My windows are not tinted though.
Nah...you're just future thinking. I'm just old school and still rely heavily on my mirrors. I predict that future Teslas will not have any mirrors at all...just cameras. Take Cybertruck for instance.

It’s usually a few weeks. They ship from China, so they sometimes sit in customs for a few days. Try reaching them again on Sunday night (Monday morning in China).
I don’t think they fit the Model Y yet. A few people bought them and it didn’t fit. I would wait until they announce a version specifically for the Model Y.

I purchased with No Blue, Works Great with TINTED windows.. I’ve had wide-angle mirrors on my all my cars for last 10 years..

I've used convex mirrors like this for years and never had a problem with glare because the glare is dispersed by mirror curve.

Field of view looks great, do you think the blue tint will work as good as the auto dimming?
I have the Blue tint on my Model 3, I’ve never noticed any glare, so I guess they work fine.
