one of my professors says she always reads her rate my professor because she thinks it’s the most raw criticism and that’s what she wants to know, so she knows where to improve. she is a really great professor so i️ think it must work

Seems like these professors who can't even consider where they could improve are the ones these sites protect students from. I've found the review sites to be fair, if they're good they will usually have great reviews already.
This video is strange, almost like it's supposed to be a "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" knockoff. But aside from this, it should be noted that RateMyProfessor has a history of deleting comments at the behest of schools. I tested this theory some time ago by posting a review that was critical of my school. A week later it was gone, though my comment followed the site's review guidelines et cetera, making the site effectively useless for anyone looking to get an accurate picture of any given school.
Perhaps it would be more advantageous for profs to read highly rated professor’s reviews where students learned from them. Also, take your negative comments seriously to see if there is legitimacy to them. Humility is a great friend to the educated person’s desire to gain wisdom . To be fair to students autocorrect sucks when trying to write on a phone. Took forever to get rid of improper capitalization added automatically so the students don’t take the time to Correct it. Case in point!
Now to be fair many of these reviews sound too simplistic and they don't specify what types of actions the profesor did, at least not as specific as it should for it to be a constructive critique, and it sounds like the website is more for students to Say which profesor is Bad instead of making constructive critisism
This criticism is just full of insults... Why can you guys do some constructive criticism? That would actually help the professors see where the problem is in order to change. I don't think that pointing out how boring classes are is going to do anything, neither it will saying they don't know how to dress etc.
Facts! Not to mention if there are spelling errors of course they are not gonna take it seriously! If you are actually trying to give constructive criticism, learn to spell for goodness sake!
Takes a lot to write a constructive critique for free. Unpaid I'd also just write what I enjoy, and it'd still be helpful to others (given that I am being truthful). I'm surprised people take time out of their day to write such reviews at all.
A teacher is supposed to make it as easy as possible for students to learn hard things, people pay a lot of money for collage, the teachers work for the students not the other way around.
Interesting to see how some professors act decades younger of their youth, even on a public site like youtube. School is not preschool, but rather a job environment where you're paid with a grade to get things done.
They can’t take criticism at all. They are condescending and cocky, they forget that their responsibility is to educate the new generation of leaders not to show off how smart they are with their PhD’ and all. 🙄
Do you seriously expect them to have a positive attitude when they just got insulted by crybabies? And what makes you think the reviewers are in the right? Everyone here is so quick to judge. Professors are human as well and process human emotions and responses, just like the rest of us, tf? The “criticism” wasn’t even constructive anyways, thus it was invalid.

If teachers of classes in worthless degrees weren't perpetuating the fraud taught them by going back into teaching they would never get a job in their field. Political Science is one of those. A friend of mine spent over 200k to get a Political Science degree from a prestigious school, Michigan, and he never used it. His dad told him the day he decided to get a political science degree that he would never use it and his dad was right
