Worth noting that the engine was left on as I'd been under the bonnet and had flushed the engine bay... Technical problems with gopro/canon meant that i couldn't use the footage. Will save till another time.

I’ve watched a ton of UA-cam detailing videos over the years, but somehow managed to pick up a ton of little things from this one. Things like how you fold over the tape when tearing it off instead of trying to “match up” two seams and flooding the trunk (I’m American) to rinse the degreaser/APC instead of spraying it off. These are things that I’d eventually figure out myself (maybe), but watching you do it-it just makes sense. Thanks for you vlog series, I constantly marvel at your level of detail and the love of your work.

@@m32mikestu - I’m very happy for you! I’ll likely never have Z4 in any configuration. While I love the looks of them I’m not much of a driving enthusiast. I just sold my ‘13 Avalon (how is that for a non-enthusiast’s car) so that I could buy a low-mileage ‘06 Tacoma. No winding country lanes where I live (30 miles E of Houston)...no hills...just flat concrete and asphalt as far as the eye can see. As the new owner of an old truck (my first) I’ll sort of fit in with the clientele of this area.
I’m really glad you got a car that you love and that you love to drive!

Drove a z4M today with summer tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE760) in the Montreal area in the canadian winter....crazy isn't it? But today it was beautiful, sunny and the roads were clean and dry: I needeed 5 minutes to adjust the seats on my height, mirrors, get used to the loading rifle grearshifter (gorgeous bythe way) and then off we go...on the highway the sound and the acceleration were astonishing...and surprisingly it was very easy to drive...Its been 20 years I am driving exclusively MT cars! What a blast!

Well Jim, you just proved my point to my wife who complains about how long I take to wash the car. It’s all about the prep work. You can have all the best equipment and polishes, but if the prep isn’t done, you simply will not get the results. Thanks Jim. P.S. I certainly hope there’s a part II?!

I just love your videos! Somehow I'm content to watch and watch... Have you seen those 45 degree grit guards for the rinse bucket? They make it super easy to scrub on the rinse. Something else I picked up from Adam is the pump pressurized sprayers. They are awesome! So much better than pumping and pumping. I need to check out that brush you are using. I have a smaller one for lug nuts and such, but I really like the size of yours. Your organization is killer. You know where everything is. So awesome to watch you work. Thanks! Franny

Firstly, I enjoyed the video, great car. Was there any reason you dried the car before the clay bar came out? also, has it had the side reflectors deleted or is this an 'M' thing? I have a regular semi skinned coupe, not the full fat 3.2. You're also about a half-hour away from me, needs a respray but I may have to book you in.
