The Zealot is a great eBoard. It's super flexy and comfortable to ride. But personally, I like the Flex more because it has a sharper turning circle and the customisation with the app is awesome. I have a Zealot review coming out tomorrow, then I might do a side-by-side comparison video of the two.
Hey I’m looking to buy belts for my meepo hurricane because I haven’t had that thing for more then two months and two of the belts one for the all terrain wheels and one for the street wheels and now I can’t ride it and waiting for them to come from china and it has been more then a week and they just shipped it out so I want aftermarket belts any recommendations?
@@eSkateHub Great! I would love to know about different ways to clean the board, as well as how to protect the board from general damage or water damage. I recently got deck guards for the nose and tail of my longboard, so would love to learn more about how to protect an eboard, especially with the electrical components.
I have a question about adjusting the tightness of the belt from zealot. from your video and other's videos, i can clearly see that there is a space (shape of oval) for the bolts on the motor side. which allows riders to adjust the spot of the motor by sliding it. I bought mine two weeks ago. mine does not have the same look like yours. motor cannot be slid. Mine has just circles to put the bolts in exactly one spot. cant adjust the tightness of the belt. was there a change of designs from the backfire?
Oh that's interesting that you don't have the oval shapes for the motor pulley... It's possible that they changed it. Are you able to send some pics of your mounts? You can message them to me on Instagram.
Late comment but what does it mean when that screw is tight but the motor and the gear still rattle it's both of them on my zealot s, everything is tight but the physical motors both shimmy very slightly when you grab them or grab the drive gear and move it side to side it seems to not affect function or performance, but it's annoying hearing them sounding like they are broken or there's rocks in the belts when there isn't.
Hi, I'm having issues getting the belt onto my tire. I don't know why but it seems like the belts the Lycaon company is sending me for replacements are too f****** small
ahhhh the GRUB SCREW. i’ve been having to push my MilesBoard SexPanther from a stop to get going because it never has enough torque to accelerate from a stop. you’re the man!!
It's really frustrating trying to get the belt on for hours and hours and then I ordered four of them from the company directly as replacements and I can't get any of the four of them to go on either. This is terrible I don't have to do
im a little confused. the motor pully and grub screw. where does the allen key tighten exacly? seems like jus a hole, and then slips on the small metal bar it mounts on. so what exactly is it tighting?
Sorry for the confusion, I should I have pulled the screw out of the hole to show you, but basically, inside the hole is a tiny screw that fits a really small allen key (hex key). When you tighten that screw it applies force between the wheel pulley and the axle so that the motor pulley doesn't move around. I hope that makes a little more sense.
@@eSkateHub excited for your Zealot review! And a comparison video between the Flex and Zealot sounds great! I think a lot of people are torn between the 2 and would love to hear your opinion on the pros and cons of each. Can't wait to see what both brands bring out next year and if they learn from each other.
False statement. You can even remove permanently mounted pulleys that have retaining compound. Just heat it with a torch for a minute and it will come off easily
@@mitsuracer87 that may be great advice for a larger bolt but when working with a set screw a user is most likely going to forget the red loctite is in there and strip out the head before they even think about using heat, then it wont matter how much heat they use if the tiny allen head is stripped because they forgot about the red loctite. blue loctite will not have that problem.
Can I ask whats the size of that allen key pls ? Last thing to try before i consider buying a new motor . Thanks in advance
1.5mm usually
Thank you sooooo much!!! I was trying to find away to fix this problem you are the man
omg this is so helpful to go over and explain small things for taking apart the motor..thank you and awesome job
what size allen key do you use for the grub screw?
did u ever figure out what size?
How do you like the zealot? Compare to exway flex riot.

@@eSkateHub yes, mine does not have adjustable mounts. I ordered mine in late august. The early shipments had adjustable mounds.

Yo I had the same problem did u ever figure it out? I sent the company a video and they are mailing me a free motor rn
Is the motor pully made up of plastic or metal?

No problem! Thanks for tuning in!
Use Loctite retaining compound on the motor shaft and you won't even need the grub screw
Fun fact, a paperclip is great for clearing dirt out of the pulley/wheel sprockets. 😁
Oh man, this is genius!
Where can I order one :)
@@panjandrum.conundrum you could probably get one for free from any office workspace or post office?
something to note in this advice is use BLUE loctite, DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE. if you use red you will never get it out.

I REALLY regret buying belt drive
Regular maintenance is all it requires to keep everything healthy. Belt driven is definitely superior in my eyes, the pros heavily outweigh the cons
