My R1 didn't run lean with an exhaust at all. It was actually rich above 8K rpm. I did the BT flash as well. BT tune was pretty solid at 12.9 to 13.1 AFR. Bren doesn't offer a stage 2 and doesn't offer E85 either.
Bought a new R1 after riding an excellent 05 the past six years. Installed an Arrow GP 3/4 exhaust. Poor drivability was everything you described, especially from a dead stop. 414mi now and just got my ECU back from being flashed. Too cold here to ride, but I will be putting it back in soon with anticipation of a smooth powerful ride. Will follow you on instagram. I’m 70 and I keep both wheels on the ground. Takes too long to heal.😂
I comment on one of your other videos asking if you where in Lehi, then see that sign in the beginning of this one lol. I'm in Wyoming driving to Centerville to get my R1 tomorrow. Like the vids stay safe.
Be careful with some of the aftermarket filters. I was told by a reputable tuner to leave stock filter in because the race filters let all kinds of sand and debris through.
@@stephenweewoo no I’ll say reputable because he is. Not a fly by night person out of their garage. Works with race teams. I think earned the reputable term. How the fuck does that bother you anyway? Miserable person much?
On your mt09 did u ever miss a gear going from 1st to 2nd while using Quickshifter? Like on mine mt09 sometimes it just shoots me from 1st to neutral so annoying sometimes 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Were you guys an R1 fan after the cross plain? R1's been sexy n dope since late 90 early 2000's .. been a fan of them since then ... My favorite still til this day is 02-03
Any chance you'll be making a video related to your Tacoma any time soon? I'm really interested to see any updates you've made or any thoughts you have on it one year later.
I got a suzuki gsx 8r as my first. It is perfectly fine and has some assistance and different power modes as well as traction control modes. Weighs almost the same as an r1 and it has respectable torque/ power in low to mid range
Looks sick! Only thing I don't like about black bikes is they're hard to see. The silhouette just blends in for me and I'm looking out for bikes. Please be extra careful at intersections
Markxlr8s; Interesting. I bought a new GSX-S1000F. I 13k miles on it in three years but didn’t like the drivability, so I bought a low mileage 05 R1 (no rider aids) and fell in love. Sold the Suzuki and bought a new 22 R1. Incredibly different experience than the older cross-plane bike. Sold the 05R1 (mistake) because I wasn’t riding it much. Missing that cross-plane sound, watching reviews and thinking about adding a 25 GSX-R1000R to the mix. Seems like a lot for the money. I believe well taken care of liter bikes are going to hold their value in the future. Gotta scratch that itch.
love the sound of r1s man
Never gets old🤌🏼
Just got mine today! All black just like yours! Rode it for like 25 minutes and I’ll can say is woow!
Congrats! 🫡
You would saw way more wow with a zx10r
@@gw4717 nah I’m more than happy with mine R1, rode a zx10r didn’t impress me at all tbh, felt like a regular 1000cc motorcycle

Just say the tuner that told you that instead of just saying reputable, everyone thinks they’re reputable

Nothing sounds better than a R1
I totally agree with the wheelie mindset .. i own 23 , and im not in wheelie mode on it .. bike definitely aint cheap.... To sexy to risk it

A little bit. The MT09 QS was finnicky for me so i always clutched to shift from 1st-2nd
@@ItsJustJakeYThow does the power of the MT compare to the r1 ?

Check out the MT 07 . Would be a better first bike for you
600 sport bike is a lot of bike to start on

is it hard to understand about ecu flash? i got smaller cc bike that i wish i could tune myself if its not that hard.
Not too difficult. most companies will have a “Mail in” option where you send them your ECU and they will flash it and send it back to you.
Yo bro where do you get the domino grips from?
Revzilla
I have a Suzuki 1000 and I’m debating between a ZX 10 and an R1. What do y’all think? I want to try something new.
