I don't understand why you don't have atleast 100k subs

I know exactly why he doesn’t have 100k. And it’s the reason I love this channel. Because it’s actually informative. He doesn’t spend 45 minutes trying to be funny, be my best friend, and acting weird. I will defend Auto Academics current format and the people that are here appreciate this approach to auto reviews.

I have a weird habit of adding to my "short list" of cars every time I watch one of your reviews haha...thanks again Chris! Just another great review as usual from AA! Been enjoying the new video shorts too. I would love this car for my daughter but for some reason she wants old musclecars and not AWD hatchbacks...not that great for the Utah snow lol.

Ha! Imagine how I feel! There are a lot of good cars being made now, so there's a lot of splitting of hairs to differentiate between good and really good cars.
I LOVE how your daughter is in to old muscle cars. That's what I grew up on, but my oldest who turns 16 soon, is very practical. And my youngest wants a Jeep (Wrangler). 😒 The oldest is pretty easy when it comes to cars, in spite of what I like, but the youngest, well, let's just say that used Jeeps are rather expensive here in GA. She might be driving a Crosstrek, too! 🤣 As always, thanks for watching, and I'm glad you've been enjoying the Shorts, too!

    Oh yeah another thing…😂
The driverside door frame is mirror like.
The painted road lines flash by.. very distracting.
Put some electrical chaffing tape over the paint!
    👍👍

Wondering if an 8 speed automatic would yield similar MPG as the CVT.

I would have to assume a higher speed transmission could provide similar economy results to a CVT. Problem is a number of these companies have invested heavily in that tech, so they've got to get their money's worth. I'm happy to see Nissan/Infiniti is slowly making their way out of it. Thanks for watching!

I think Subaru should really put the 2.4T in this. Even detuned, I think they’d win over a lot of their enthusiast base and conquest buyers. As is, most everything in this class is way too expensive and way too underpowered.

The family just got a 24 Forester.
I drove it one day in traffic on a road I am very familiar with.
I went to time my pass of this slow poke ahead of me.
Did the old fashioned accelerate to the car and time the pull out to pass.
The damn collision sensor thought I was going to collide..on come the brakes!
    WTF.
    I was not happy!

Yeah. That's why I was surprised how un-intrusive this Crosstrek was. Sorry that happened to you because it can definitely be unsettling. Thanks for watching, Torsee!
