I don't think it is early in the year. The last couple years it has been in August for the heavy run, when it rained. editing in february 2023, right after this video I caught the Covid and spent 14 days in the ICU. 3.5 months not able to work. You never know when you'll lose your health.
What type of rig/set up do you use for 6th street? Went for my first time last year and could not figure it out. Not sure what I was doing wrong. Any tips, on rigs, where to cast etc etc I would appreciate thank you.
@@CuckOmelette I figured it out and been catching steel down there. Just use from a 1/2 ounce to a 1 ounce weight. With a 6 to 8 foot leader and fly tied on the end cast towards the dam and let it float back down.
Nice video! Im looking into switching over to a baitcasting reel for drift fishing. What brand reel and gear ratio are you using in this video? Thanks and hope to see you down there this year
@@reelobsession just was joshing ya :) but for me it’s a pain working the drag in current with a high gear ratio casting reel. Enjoyed the video though thank you for posting it !

I was casting a bottom bounce rig right up into the rough water under the fall, with a spawn sack on a jig and letting it bounce around.
@@45_MAGA_45 Does it not just float right back to you?

Wish I could be there
It’s definitely a special atmosphere!

You’ve still got the cellophane on that rod! Let her get seasoned properly! Lol.
Keeping it clean from spawn and skein lol
No fish here.
🎏 fishng or flossing spot. Do the math and I'm certain a number of fish hooked are not trying to eat . Great spot 👌. Tad jealous
One thing i hate about salmon fishing... Shoulder to shoulder people. Desperate for fish.
