- On today's episode of Trucks! Stacy David is back on Project Outdoorsman. It's already been transformed into a home-away-from-home with a pop-up camper top so now, it's time to make it a proper overlanding vehicle. Today's installs include a brush guard, lights, and a removable winch. Then it's time to take a look at the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and continue our paint tech back in the shop.
Gosh these episodes are so nostalgic. Takes me right back to saturday mornings, waking up with no school and turning on powerblock
Love seeing old vehicles when they were new. Such a great feeling
These dudes drove the snot out of that Jeep lmao even in the parking lot
Crazy seeing that ‘99 brand new
I love the Jeep testing. You can tell these guys were really pushing that car like they stole it.
If I could go back in time I would go back and see old cars brand new this helps with my fantasy
That 99 jeep grand Cherokee limited was taken a beating like a champ. I've taken my 04 jeep grand Cherokee limited across the Rubicon jeep trail in stock forum just to see if it was really trail rated. Made it across the trail with bald tires and just a little bit of trail rash. Didn't need a tow strap or a winch. Now it's been across the Rubicon jeep trail 3 times and it's been across swamp lake and the doozy ersham Jeep trail coyote lake and strawberry jeep trail. Still no lift kit, and no lockers just a stock old Jeep with 244,000 miles on it and still running strong now that I moved to the PNW. God I remember getting up early every Saturday morning just to watch this show. Really like tails from a gear head podcast that Stacy David does now.
That 1999 Jeep Cherokee is going to be a game changer.
I can’t wait to preorder my very own.
I heard that it comes with a 10 disk player
@@footcream7310 Whooaa!
God dam I remember watching this 20 years ago.
who cut the hole in the dash for the fog lights, ray charles??
love that GPS - stands for "global positioning system" pulling right from the satellites
Those running boards won’t last long, probably get bent to shit or torn off all together after a couple times out on the trails.
I wonder for how many people this was their first introduction to gps
Mel's switch cutout looked like crap
Lol.. Thats what i thought too. Lol
That truck has 3 different switches installed in the dash
Only if they knew about the shitty timing and oiling in the Ford. The Jeep would be fine if they kept the 4.0 ,5.2 and 5.9. The 4.7 was trash from the beginning.
The fords from that era had no issues with timing. They were all 2 valve motors. Only issue was spark plugs blowing out of the head due to insufficient threads. The issue was resolved though in 2003
How come we never got to see if yesterday’s pizza was still in the fridge
I've never had a pizza last more than a day.
Mel ate it
Yea Mel ate it on the other episode 😎🇺🇲
My uncle has one of those f150s with similar style wide as steps. Lol that they say the steps are barely trying.... it hecka flexed!
I had a 97. I removed the running boards my father has a f250 SD of the same generation. His running boards rotted off. Funny enough, he also has the same generation Grand Cherokee (01).
man stacy knows how to fill out them jeans
I'm interested. Will the square on the site not break if it pulls itself at a large angle? How to practice with such a square?
