281hrs on Ball, 61% win rate... my tip is the one that no one wants to hear: PRACTICE YOUR TECHS OUTSIDE OF QP/Comp. The more you practice wall jumps or character jumps or 180 rebounds, the more you'll see your progression skyrocket. And, every Ball main should have this workshop code saved for Ball Tech Practice = C678X ("Interact" key to place a spawn marker for the Bot, "Reload" to spawn the Bot)

From the looks of it, hes very bad at being a tank, but very good at being an assassin. Absolutely insane mobility, decent cc, and loads of damage and even some cheeky instakill opportunities. Honestly that might be the direction for him, buff his damage outright, reduce his tankiness a bjt, and make him a damage character instead of a tank. Make him a rushdown sort of damage dealer.
Ball is an alternative form of space making since he’s very adept at diverting attention, making quick picks, and eating the back line alive. He was what tank-fist became, and is essentially just a more effective form of him. The only issue is that people don’t recognize how to play around the enemy when they have no front line. But in the wise words of Yeatle himself “if your team is dying before you can strike, just get better”. Ball is extremely strong and consistent as a tank, there’s very little that can be done about a ball that know how to play around his counters effectively (including sombra). He’s simply got a very high skill floor both in terms of mechanics and game sense, which once met provides one of the most capable tanks since the release of Overwatch 2. The only issue is for him not to have to deal with absolutely overturned characters like sojourn or roadhog (and kind of Orisa but that’s just me), which is a roadblock for every hero, not just ball.
for sure. there really is no front line with ball, he has to be getting kills and being a hassle for the enemy whilst your team takes advantage of the confusion

If there's any buffs I'd want for Ball its: Grapple CD down to 3-4, Cable durationg to 10-12.

It's hard enough aiming a projectile shot. No way I'm taking that away from Ana.
@@ProcuredHat That kind of resistance is too easy of a cop out. If you piledrive in front of Ana w/o an escape plan then that's kinda on you. And it's pretty much a punishment on her if she darts Ball coz she'll get deleted by a pouncing Genji. Enemy team loses a main healer.
If any buff's goin to Ball, I'd say give his Fireball a ricochet mechanic like Sigma's Balls. That'll give him some edge for off-angle strikes in corners.
Other than that, i wish the aoe of the Adaptive Sheild registers the enemies quicker. There are times I ping 3 but then just get 2 after Activating it.

As doom, you gain extra hight when you cancel your slam early. Also hope your leg gets better and i love the discord server!

secret tip: for ball you can instantly stop rolling if you get out of ball form, even if you were going at max speed.

I have around 200 hours+ on ball just do a lot of tech maps in workshop, also a lot of people forget that ball isn’t meant to stay on the payload and point and tank for your squishes, you meant to roll around and pick off their dps and healers
Wrecking ball is decent in itself but it sucks when u go bother a couple of their backline players and enemy tank + a dps just runs ur team over in the meantime

I’m a ball one trick and ngl he is in a good state he’s just a rare one as he actually requires some sort of knowledge of the map and surrounding and it is like playing on hard mode but if he got buffed he would actually be unkillable plus I like gatekeeping him
I'm trying him and to be honest the most weird part is that he doesn't fit as a tank but I'm winning a lot more doing open q.
I’ve been playing the ball recently, something I found that helps is binding scroll wheel up/down to crouch so you can slam easier
You can just hold the crouch key to slam as fast as possible

This is more of a general tip with every tank, but ball especially, since Ball has a massive hitmox you can body block the enemy from 1. Getting heals. Or 2. Getting to the point

33 Hours of wrecking ball and im still only decent at him. Hammond is the hardest tank to learn in Overwatch. Also the only one that needs a serious buff
tbf, Junkerqueen needs a serious buff because she's easily the WORST tank in OW2. I man I've lost to a ball once or twice, but at low masters right now I have yet to lose even a single game to a junkerqueen since OW2 released. Not one. I wish I was being hyperbolic

The best tip...dont be in to the wind.
They need to undo the nerfs he got in Ow1. It made sense because there used to be 2 tanks but now there’s only 1. Brick back infinite grapple, etc
Idk, I guess uhhhh, when playing Sym focus turrets make sure to group 2 and save 1 for most fights, helps you to always have a little extra damage, my other tip is that Sym is good
My tip is make sure to try and land both his plow and slam damage for a total of 150!

ball has one of the highest skill caps in the game but if if mastered can be very rewarding
As doomfist you can cancel your empowered punch, while already charging it up, in order to keep the empowered punch and not int into enemies, just cause you didn't want to "waste" it.

346 hrs on ball, my advice? rush all 5 of your enemies without your team, throw the game by dying and get sent death threats or get cursed in vc
The best tip i have is to heal as moira thats legit all….
Ball is mobile for a reason. His hook is a shorter cool down then slam. You hook in and slam, pick, damage, use shield, then when your shield is gone and support starts getting worried you fly away to the nearest big health pack. Play around them, plan your next pack, then go back in.
He is good, just lacks a reliable way to kill in team fights. You get a squishy who has no heals though and that's easy pickings.
To try and do a jump on a wall so you can get pulid drive so your grapple can help you run back to your team escape faster good luck all ball players

WB's ammo needs to be 100. Shields should be reduced by 1 second. Landmines should be set up instantly and Perma Grapple should return.
Feel like I’m the only one that thinks ball is kinda fine as is😂 been loving playing him in plat/diamond rank last couple weeks. Only thing that annoys me is how hard sombra and hog counter me but win rate still sitting at just under 60%

@@pedroariel2204 I agree. (My point is that the “majority” of players are at these ranks) I’ve said elsewhere that any changes he may need should just be small changes to help him perform better in the higher ranks without lowering skill floor below masters
