Brig is def the most misunderstood hero imo. Ive had so many people tell me “shes brawl, they have no brawl, get off her” and they were running full dive lmao. She is anti-dive, not brawl, actually brawl is her biggest weakness bc she can block long range shots but insta dies to brawl lol. So dont listen to people on ranked who dont play your heros and keep grinding.
Forreal. Brig excels in dive. And is good even in poke. Ppl will laugh for using brig against a widow and it’s like what do you mean?? A shield is a really good thing to have against a sniper. She can stay alive to heal and push objectives. No other support can push cart as good as her.
I play her and am almost always top healer in term of heals, and dmg

Junker Queen and brig are in the same boat, both heroes as an individual are great but the problem lies in the teams gameplay and coordination. You see when you have a brig on your team your heals are essentially on CD. Which means your tank and everyone else needs to consider breaking LOS and staying behind natural cover more often. This type of gameplay shift is hard for lower tier players to adapt to. That’s why JQ and brig feel underwhelming some games and great other games. Because it all depends on how well the flow between you and your teammates are.
Actually brig's heals are not on cd her passive means she heals a large area over time by doing damage
@@frightno928 that passive healing doesn’t give as much healing as an armor pack does. It won’t keep your teammates up well enough to where they can confidently go back into LOS of the enemy it’s like Lucio’s healing without amp. Negligible amounts.
Now you tell me, is 15 Hp / sec for 6 seconds good healing? It won’t keep anyone on your team alive with that alone. Hence why I said your heals as Brig is on Cooldown.

@@dueler8281 I get what your saying but I still believe that saying that will convince newer players that the only way she can heal is on cool down and that she isn't good when in fact as a support she is one of the best but she isn't a main healer so people don't like her from about gold/plat and below
Yeah, but that 15 hps can be used to heal 4 allies for a total of 60 hps. While someone like Ana has to constantly be juggling targets (and therefore healing is lost) in order to keep her team up, Brig can do that passively. She can heal squishies so that the other healer can focus on the tank. It’s definitely not consistent, but Brig can have the most heals in the match, so long as the other healers aren’t just pocketing a rein.
So here's the thing with Brig.
She is 80% game sense, 20% skill. There isn't anything complicated about swinging a mace, but knowing when to cycle cooldowns, when to advance and retreat, when to spend your repair packs; it's basically Winton but even brainier.

Brig is rlly fun to play and a pretty good support, also her shield can block certain ultimate attacks like Dvas, and if you use her shield when doomfist does meteor strike, you take damage, but you don't die
As a day one, Brig main who survived EVERY single nerf and still CARRIED games and continues to do so, I agree. She is indeed underrated 💯
I climbed to Diamond 5 last night playing only Brigitte. I really love the character... but my teammates just love to shit on me for even picking her. They just don't see what I bring to the table. :c

Don't worry man, I feel like this is just a problem with being a support player.
I get the same treatment as Lucio. When games are being won I get endorsements up the wazoo. But the moment we lose, Lucio is an easy pick for blame, hehehe.
Support is a pretty thankless job because you're almost never in the spot light.

A thing I noticed is that when your confidence drops, your effort drops hence why you lose. Same with me, we just gotta keep looking forward and keep trying to get to our goals!

Honestly, the people who complain/trash talk their team are the reason why you lose games. Their attention is too focused on downplaying an ally rather than cooperation and good communication. Hats off to all the humble and friendly Overwatch players out there!

If you know how to use her heals, she's absolutely nuts. I average 8-14k heals in quick play games on Brig, almost always more than our other support, including Mercy. Brig heals over time - when I first started playing her, I would put all my health packs on the same target or heal them when they're 15-30 hp off max HP. That can't happen. Only use your health packs when your teammate is below critical HP or is about to make a large play. Otherwise, you have to trust your other healer and your teammates to heal up to max hp if your health packs didn't do so, or to find a mini and heal themselves up. Gotta be conservative with your healing and trust it over time !!!
Brig is great with both Reihn and Junker queen - she can keep up and she can heal them if they rush forward. I also love to play brig with both Cassidy and Torbjorn, because I can shield the turret - yes, it will break fast. But that extra second or two can let that turret get a pick on a squishy. Cassidy and Brig's greatest strength is that when he uses High Noon, if he needs that extra second to line up his shot, the shield can keep him alive. You can also use your shield to allow your mercy to get a rez off.
Another great Brig play is to shield bash when Doomfist / Reihnhardt are using their dashes - it stuns both you and the tank. Brig being stunned on the floor for a second won't affect the game, but the other team's tank being stunned on the floor can make or break a team fight.
The biggest thing I always say is that if you think playing Brig is boring, you're playing her wrong. Don't be a payload princess, don't be an inspire bot swinging your shield. It may not have the most HP, but the shield regens quickly. Use it if you can to allow your teammates to take cover. Be bold! Pocket your tank and stay on the frontline whenever possible to get those hits in. THAT BEING SAID, one major downfall with many brig players is that they don't know their limits. You are NOT a tank, or even a mini-tank. You are a support character who should not be trying to tank hits or flank to get backline kills. You will die 80% of the time. Know your limits and know where you're most useful. If you need to sit on the payload and heal, do it. But if you need to fight, do it.
Anyone with less than 200hp can usually be killed by brig. If you can reach a widow, get her. If you see a sombra, overwhelm her. Tracer can be killed almost instantly by brig with a flail-bash combo, and I can usually shield bash to chase after her if she teleports away. Bastion may be scary in his 2nd form, but he's nothing in his first. Overwhelm him when he gets out of his secondary form, and kill him. Kill the supports too if you can. I've learned my limits and I can typically take on any DPS in a fight except those with overwhelming close-range damage like Hanzo, Junkrat or Genji.
I could go on and on about my strategy when playing Brigitte, but I'll stop here. Love this video, you did us brig mains justice. Appreciate it, all the love to you and everyone in these comments. 🙂
Oh, and Rally charges so fast that if you're getting good damage, you can get 5-6 Rallies in one round. Pop rally every team fight, even if just to give your team a bit more confidence to push in and get those kills. Rally does relatively little, so you should just use it whenever possible. Quantity over quality lol

I just got my first play of the game with brigitte a couple days ago 😁 she is pretty situational, most of the time I get bodied (I’m also still a new player) but that usually happens if I’m by myself/ get separated from the group. Brig is most powerful when she is with another teammate. She is the most fun to play imo but I can’t stand mcree’s sticky grenades 🤬

I learned to love playing Brig when I was against a team whith 2 dive tanks (Winston/Diva). Knocking them backwards when they land and ruining their rhythm pleases me.

Brig has 2 sides, you have run in there and kill and you have pacifist team player. It all depends on team comp whether you need to play Tactical or Kill everything. Btw I just got into gold on brig 😄

To play Brig, there are a few more things to note:
Use natural cover all the time.
Try to trigger inspire constantly.
Shield bash away from danger.
Shield bash into an isolated/killable target.
If you have an advantage in the fight, close the distance and whip till you win.
do not shield bash into danger
Make sure you utilize your off angles to distract enemies.
Try to take the pressure off your team.
Keep distant from high end enemies.
Practice this stuff, and you'll do great. Remember it is always you that makes mistakes, not your team. But there are exceptions. One is when to know how to accept you got outplayed.

I found the trick to be going after the long range heroes and sigma is pretty easy destroy, I use the bash, whip, hit, bash combo it whipes them boys out. Whipping them boys like slaves
