I love Maggie's speech at the end so much. She's right. Without Glenn, Rick may not have lived back in Atlanta, and none of these people would have come together. He's the Samwise Gamgee of TWD.
I'm in tears even years later listening to that speech. Glenn was one of my all time favorite characters that's ever been on anything so it still sucks to have his journey end.
Underappreciated in this - it was Carl. Carl saved them all. The will to act first when the moment appeared turned the tide. It was Sasha that created the moment, and Carl that seized it.
That scene where Negan spots Maggie (and Enid, didn't forget you) is one of my absolute favorite scenes. Her entire stance and expression practically challenges Negan to come and get his due. Perfect music for that part, as well. That's when he knew to ru.. make a tactical retreat. Or he saw Shiva coming and didn't want to risk Lucille. "That widow is alive, guns a-blazin!" indeed.
The scene where Sasha is looking at the coffin, about to get into it, with the sunset in the background and the music always touches me. Knowing she wont ever see the sun again.
Seeing Ezekiel, Rick and Maggie standing on that podium side by side gives me chills every time I even think about it! Three incredible leaders standing proudly in front of their united communities, with that music and Maggie’s words over the top. Gets me every time!
I believe the actress who played the woman that beat Michonne does some form of MMA fighting in real life/trains with weights, so it is good they cast someone with a somewhat broader frame to compete with Michonne's physique.
Thank u! I don't think most realized how big that lady was compared to Michonne. They were the same height. But that lady was thick. Her neck and arms were huge.
Yeah! He's sooo involved since couple episodes ago! I really enjoy watching them both! Kind of a coincidence that I started watching them & I like it :D
After the mid season finale of this season. News came out that Sonequa Martin Green (Sasha) was cast as a leading role on the Star Trek CBS series so a lot of ppl figured that she’d be the season finale death.
I was so glad to see our people finally get a WIN. It hurt me deeply to see all the pain and loss they went through this season. I felt much better after seeing this episode. And, you know, tiger.
It’s not often we see Negan get wrong-footed, but his exclamation of, “Holy goddamn!” when walker Sasha tackled him off the flatbed cracks me up every time. Look at Carl with the reflexes after Sasha gave them an opening. Ezekiel is a bit too theatrical at times, but I loved his line: “End these Saviors and their accomplices! Alexandria will not fall, not on this day!” Negan left the weapon because he ran out of ammo before Shiva pounced on her second victim. Me, as Negan rides off with his middle finger waving: “Aim for his finger! Shoot the goddamn finger!” I loved the music that accompanied the scenes where The Kingdom and Hilltop make it to the fight.
I loved Ezekiel's line too; a battle cry worthy of a king! And I too was yelling for someone to shoot Negan's hand. I was like, "That's his batting hand! Shoot it!" The music in Season 7 was great. Daryl and Rick reuniting at Hilltop, and when the Kingdom saves Alexandria, *chef's kiss*
Yeah Walking Dead is by far one of the best shows ever on TV and it's still going strong I hope it never ends. The writers are amazing the people the characters are just so good. You really do get invested in these characters and when you lose one ,man it just hurts. Yeah this is definitely a great season finale and I'm so glad that y'all love The Walking Dead just as much as I do and all of The Walking Dead fans.
Steve: "Maggie out there all pregnant" Lacey: "Yea she don't give a f***" You darn right. RIP Sasha though, she was truly one bada$$ and I was super sad to see her leave. Everybody had beach-ball sized lady nutz up in this episode.
This episode in my opinion was one of the best season finales of this show ever, even if season 7 has a bad reputation there are still some amazing moments spread throughout
Cliff Ellrich he got it back in the mid season finale after Aaron got beaten up for no reason and then the deaths of Spencer and Olivia although I think Aaron’s beating and Olivias death really was the tipping point b/c Spencer had pissed Rick off by bringing up Abe and Glenn but also b/c Rick was probably pissed that Negan told him about what Spencer was trying to do which was asking Negan to kill Rick.
Ngl you guys are the first people I've seen get emotional about Sasha dying. Nobody else has ever shown emotion about it from what I've seen. They've been upset that she died generally speaking, but I never saw anyone get super sad and/or cry about it. It's kind of surprising considering how long she's been in the show. Really sad to me too that Carl saw all this happen because he's the one who saved her and her original group and now he's seeing the last of them die. :/ At least he used her death the way she would've wanted the group to so I'm really thankful that was considered for the episode. If anyone should have done that it's Carl imo since he was the one who saved her initially and now he's the one giving some worth to her sacrifice aside from her just stopping Negan from using her as a pawn. It started a whole war because Carl took initiative thanks to her, so in a (sad) way Sasha and Carl both worked together to start the war everyone was trying to get to all this time. 15:05 Steve LITERALLY just fanboyed over Ezekiel. That was WILD lmao. His entire demeanor changed in an actual /instant/. I think this is honestly probably my favorite season finale. I'm not sure if it's my favorite episode in general but most likely my favorite season finale. It's sad to see Maggie lose someone so much like her who had been through so, so much with her and lost just as many people as her. I'd honestly say they were probably best friends. Maggie really has lost /way/ too much and it's amazing how strong she's stayed considering the sheer amount of loved ones who have died.
Two of the best things happened in this episode. First, the Kingdom came kicking ass along with Hilltop lead by Maggie. The second best thing was seeing Steve get all giddy when Rick's friends showed up 15:05 lol. Seeing them all come together trying to take down Negan was so awesome. Tired of seeing them be so beat down. Even Sasha got a few bites lol. Heartbreaking to see her go too and see both actors say goodbye to their characters onscreen for the final time: Sasha and Abraham. RIP Sasha. I honestly was expecting Rambo Carol to single-handedly be the the one to take down Negan and his Saviors since shes the only character, not counting Morgan, to be out there on her own, planning the takedown.
The first time I watched this, I totally forgot about King Ezekiel and the others being on their way. I shouted with joy when the Shiva pounced out of nowhere to take down Negan's men. And despite all the deaths in TWD, Sasha's sacrifice is the first heart breaking death that comes to mind. Great episode. Love the reaction:)
Negan was pissed b/c he wanted to convert Sasha into a savior she would have probably taken Rapey Daveys lieutenant position but Sasha opted to kill herself to protect her family and to try avenging Abraham even though she failed to kill Negan she gave Rick and CO a chance to fight back. But Negan was also pissed b/c he lost.
@@gravitypronepart2201 somebody in a TWD cosplay group ID'd the jacket years ago and that's how I found out. It's one of the best jackets that I own, honestly.
Steve's reaction at 15:05 warmed my heart like nothing else. Pure emotion, like a kid finding out they got a puppy for Christmas.Haha! Lacey, you should have done a close up of Steve through that part. That shit deserved an Emmy. Love you guys as always!
I'm not really one of those people who reacts or gets emotional while watching a TV show, but I remember when watching this when it first aired even I stood up off my chair and said "FUCK YEAH SHIVA!" when they all came to the rescue.
brilliant ending to the season, we started it on our knees in dirt and blood, now we stand victorious :) R.I.P. Sasha your sacrifice was not in vain...loved your reaction guys :)
You're right. Spending his time smiling and saying lines like "you're a badass !" ad nauseam, what a performance. XD It's not JDM's fault, though, love the dude. It's just the character that makes the coyote in Road Runner look like a super complex character in comparison.
I love your reactions❤️❤️❤️ you guys go so deep in the show meaning and you feel emotions of the show so hard👍🏽👍🏽 Keep going with the amazing reactions
LET'S DUO IT.. I was sooo waiting for you guys to see this episode, like you said it had all the feels. Shiva is the greatest, the king's speech "Alexandria will not fall, not on this day" made me cry.. so, onto season 8 episode 1. I am ready!
Great reaction, I'm crying too at the end hearing Maggie talk about Glen starting this all. This is one of my fav episodes next to No Sanctuary and No Way Out. I'm the same way Steve, didn't think I would like the show but gave it a chance and now it's my favorite series ever, next being BB and The Sopranos. And maybe BH 90210, lol. I was a young teen in the 90s. Don't judge me. I started TWD way back when it premired tho, so having to wait weekly for the next one sucks and going like 6 months between seasons, ugh. But it's nice rewatching the seasons with you both!! Love love ur TWD reactions and look forward to them! 💗💀👍
701 and 716 are the most epic episodes in a series that has so many. It always amazes me that people hated this season and season 8 to the extent that they stopped watching. I love that you appreciate every aspect of TWD. You acknowledge the writing, acting, and special effects. Thank you for taking this journey and sharing with us.
Sasha is one of the most honorable and bravest characters on the show. She sacrificed for her family, but she bought them something they really needed.... time and opportunity. Even if it was just a split-second, she loved them and trusted them all enough to believe they would use both wisely. I love Sasha.
This is definitely one of the best episodes of the series! The pacing was perfect, and it was full of surprises. Nothing beats that moment when Shiva leaps into the scene and King Ezekiel gives his "Alexandria will not fall" speech! Negan had to leave with his tail between his legs which was so satisfying!
I am re-watching your reaction and I just have to say I think that’s my all-time favorite scene after walker Sasha jumps on Negan Carl starts blasting first! I love it!
Loved this episode too. Sasha & Maggie moments still make me cry each time.. Season 8 is hard to swallow though, guys. Hope you don't lose your enthusiasm through this.
Season 7 had its moments but watching it week to week when it first aired made it feel incredibly slow. Binging S7 is definitely the way to go. On to season 8...
Agreed! I adore TWD but I really got bored waiting week to week on season 7. No wonder so many people switched off and stopped watching. Season 8 was a slight improvement but I can't wait for them to get to Sesson 9 and 10. Currently, this is now my favourite ever storyline in TWD, it's the best it's ever been now imo
@@NoahVends totally agree! It was so good back in 5 and 6 but 7 and 8.... meh! 9 and 10 have been incredible. Angela kang has really done wonders with TWD in 9 and 10. I'm so impressed! I'm eagerly awaiting each week again, just like before.
Although Shiva gets her big comic surprise they missed a brilliant opportunity here having the Jesus vs Negan fight where he shows off his martial arts skills
Great ending, I actually fell off with TWD around season 4 but rewatching reactions has got me back into it and I’m glad I did! If I could suggest one other show “Black Mirror” on Netflix is an amazing, critically praised, and Emmy Award winning show that would be reallyyy interesting to see you start since it’s an anthology (every episode is a self-contained story). Really thought provoking stories and the kinda show that really sparks debate and discussion. Huge star studded cast also with some actors from G.O.T, Anthony Mackie, Jon Ham etc.
Wow I forgot how amazing of an episode this was! I just gotta say, I’ve loved following you guys’ journey watching twd, and I can’t express in words how happy I am that UA-cam recommended me that first ep reaction all that time ago.. You guys rock. Also Lacey, I’m in LOVE with that eyeshadow, it’s gorgeous. And I wish I had as pretty of a crying face as you, you look like a doll!
I always get emotional at Maggie's speech at the end and when she watches Jesus kill zombie Sasha. On the subject of Michonne getting beaten so badly, so many people got upset when this aired because she let that woman almost get the best of her. Yes she is a badass but there's always somebody that's going to be equally bad ass or more badass than someone else. She came out alive and that was all that mattered. Didn't change my opinion of Michonne at all. This was probably my favorite season finale so far and the one I've re-watched the most. Also love Shiva!
One of the best episodes ever! But the scene where Rick goes on straight on Negan’s face and says “NOTHING” with that psycho face gives more than chills! See you...until 8/1!!!
Honestly, season 7 is considered one of the weakest seasons 7 so I am really happy you two found is so enjoyable, the oppression with Negan, bottle epsiodes, the kingdom king and tiger aspect, the junk people - it gets very fantastical and odd to earlier seasons. However I do think S7 is much better binged than week to week as it aired. It is funny though, as someone else said, if you thin k the writing is good now, you are gonna love S9/10. Hope you enjoy S8 as well.
S7 is a million times better when watched over a span of weeks rather than months. The show lost sooo many fans this season because of the combination of the brutality in e1 and the pace for the whole season. Too slow and too spread out. Enjoyable as a binge though.
"She ain't going out by a trash bitch" lmao. Lacey is hilarious. And Steve when you said something about them only talking in one syllables...ugh I swear that shit is annoying. Oh I'm happy you guys started this show too. I love y'alls reactions. You just say how you feel and I can tell your feelings are ginuine. And once again Andrew Lincoln's acting is A1. That man should have sooo many awards by now.
Man, Carl said "Oh hell naw! Y'all got me fucked up!" Reminds me back when The Governor pulled up at the prison, Carl was ready to shoot his ass, and when he killed Hershel, sure enough, he did. He play when it comes to his people...
The group is great together and can do anything with the communities together. Loved this episode. Sasha's death was hard to watch but she made a moment for the group and Carl went for it. Loved Shiva was chasing after Negan. So close twice.
Such a brilliant second half and epic ending. I loved the communities coming together to fight, not to mention really awesome music again from Bear McCreary. As I've been a massive Trekkie all my life, I knew Sonequa was leaving to get the lead role in "Star Trek: Discovery" (which she's so good in!). But there was still a question as to whether Sasha was going to get killed-off or just leave.
Really don't get all the people that hate on S7. I get that it's a tough start to S7, very tough. Then it's tough through to the mid-season finale because the group is so under Negan's thumb, but i think it's a very solid season overall. It's certainly not the best season of TWD, but it's not the trainwreck a lot of people act like it is. The Rick speech at the end to Negan, if that don't give you chills then you're all outta chills! The battle scene at the end is a little.... meeeeh! I won't say anymore on that though, but the Maggie speech at the end is beyond moving.... TWD is always on point with the feels.
Yeah I agree season 7 wasn’t to bad. Season 8 well at least up until mid-season finale was meh and ultimately I quit watching the show shortly after the season 8 mid-season finale
Lol before the first episode he said "tbh i'm not exited , i've seen this recommended to me on netflix for a while always pasted it". Then now he's like dang i'm happy we started watching this show at the end of the video
One of my fav episodes ever, had everything, action, humor, sad/emotional moment and suspense, good writting and direction, it was really good, and your reaction made it greater, thank you!

Carl has many little moments throughout the series that are often badass or too mature for his age but sadly often goes underappreciated..

That scene where Negan spots Maggie (and Enid, didn't forget you) is one of my absolute favorite scenes. Her entire stance and expression practically challenges Negan to come and get his due. Although Shiva gets her big comic surprise they missed a brilliant opportunity here having the Jesus vs Negan fight where he shows off his martial arts skills
The actor for Abraham Micheal Cudlitz became a director for some episodes of TWD season 9 and 10
Watching your guys emotions reminds me why this is the greatest show ever!
12:20 "Ten what?! Ten words that you know?" 😂
Steve's reaction when Shiva pounced and the King rolled through was amazing. The pure joy on your face was fantastic.
16:16
LMAO Steve
Fun fact the next episode is the shows 100th episode
Wow I forgot how amazing of an episode this was! I just gotta say, I’ve loved following you guys’ journey watching twd, and I can’t express in words how happy I am that UA-cam recommended me that first ep reaction all that time ago.. You guys rock.
Also Lacey, I’m in LOVE with that eyeshadow, it’s gorgeous. And I wish I had as pretty of a crying face as you, you look like a doll!
Well shucks!!! Thank you! Oh and trust me I do have an ugly cry hahaha ~ Lacey
Maggie killed sasha
@L3 - 37 jesus, got her but Maggie walked up and pull out her knife. She even said it in an interview with Chris hardwick
@L3 - 37 Jesus held her down, and Maggie put her down. All for love ❤️.
@L3 - 37 yes, kinda like the spencer/michonne taking down deana
That widow is alive guns a blazing lol
8 is the weakest but yeah 7 had some corny parts but sometimes you have to get through the slog to get to the other side
YESSSS ANGELA KANG IS OUR HERO
S7 is a million times better when watched over a span of weeks rather than months. The show lost sooo many fans this season because of the combination of the brutality in e1 and the pace for the whole season. Too slow and too spread out. Enjoyable as a binge though.
Yes!!!! That tigger!! This episode was incredibly awesome!! Great reaction can’t wait to see you guys react to season 8! It’s time for war!!
When Maggie said “Glenn made the decision, I was just following him” and then it pans on to the watch that scene always gets me emotional 😭💕
Long time since I’ve seen your reactions. Glad to see you’re still with the team!
What puzzled me was how Sasha took a drink of water laying down in the coffin and yet NO water spilled on her?????
The coffin was sitting straight up.
@@alamoja no, it was laying down when negan starting talking to Rick about her and then had his man stand it up
Even I used to drink water from a bottle while lying down on my bed. That's not too tough 🤷🏻♂️
Lmao when Steve makes fun of how Bangs talks
Lol before the first episode he said "tbh i'm not exited , i've seen this recommended to me on netflix for a while always pasted it". Then now he's like dang i'm happy we started watching this show at the end of the video
10:03 Lacy feel free to pause, as well as Steve, if you need to! XD
One of your guys best reactions guys. This is was a damn good episode, best episode in the whole series up to this point imo.
That speech Maggie gives always makes me cry. Especially when she finds Sasha. They were so close and Sasha loved her so much. 😭
One of my fav episodes ever, had everything, action, humor, sad/emotional moment and suspense, good writting and direction, it was really good, and your reaction made it greater, thank you!
"she ain't going out by a TRASH BITCH!" 😂😂😂😂
"I gotta get me my Daryl back." 😂 Gets me every time.
So now this is your favorite episode of the walking dead. I think this is now my favorite video of you guys reacting to the walking dead.
The King, the Widow, and Rick. Now what Negan?
I’m rewatching all these reactions and Steve’s reaction when he sees shiva is so wholesome 😂
This episode is so full of the feels!! Sad, mad, happy, I get the chills!!
Literally everybody has the same Feeling about Negan you hate him but at the same time you absolutely love when hes on the screen he's hilarious
"When two tribes go to war . . . "
Great song!
Yup!
LIVE LONG AND PROSPER SASHA..GREAT REACTION AS ALWAYS. EVERYONE PLEASE STAY SAFE AND BLESSED MUCH LOVE FROM SAN ANTONIO AND WASH HANDS
Your reactions are so real and pure. I love you guys.
