Beautiful cabochons 🤩🤩
Thank you!
Nice finds
Thank you!
Very cool. Loved both examples. Thank you !!😊
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed them!!
Oh my they are all stunning ! So beautiful after the shine put on them. Love the blue shimmer
Thank you, the peristerite is quite pretty.
What a nice sunny day! Great video! That peristerite looks awesome after being polished!
Yes it was a great day, lovely weather and awesome finds!!
Your finds are beautiful! The peristerite is gorgeous and the graphic granite if amazing. That was an amazing video and thank you for showing us the difference.
Thanks for watching and commenting Lisa! Glad you liked the video!
Nice spot to hunt , thats some good finds , really good info , and nice polish job , thanks for sharing
Thanks Wil!!
What a wonderful spot to be able to find the peristerite and the graphic granite. They are both beautiful! My top favorite stone is labradorite so of course I'm drawn to the peristerite, which I've haven't seen until now so thank you for that. That graphic granite is beautiful too, which I haven't seen before either. When you held the big chunk, of graphic granite, up at your dig site, it wasn't close to the camera yet and it reminded me of dino bone at first.😆 I really can't choose a favorite between the two, they are both amazing, especially after you polished those pieces. Thank you for sharing and for teaching me two new incredible stones and a bit about them!✌️🤠🤘
Thanks glad you could learn something new!
Oh man, i think a rock swap might be in order. No pressure! Lol! This stuff is amazing! When the snow melts and uncovers some of my sodalite and a few other goodies….😂
For sure Greg, always fun to swap!
The shift in blue hues is absolutely stunning!
Thank you!!
I like the look of the graphic granite after polishing. That as a specimen itself is nice. I haven't been back to that mine in about 10 years. May have to go for a day this year. Nice peristerite too! 👍😁
Thanks, it is a fun spot and the piles are pretty big so there is still some great material there to collect!
Takes a lot of patience and stamina for sure. It pays off to continuously work the same area over and over when there's clues like that on the surface. Seem like a cool dude. If you're ever in the Philadelphia area I'll show you a few spots
Thanks, I will definitely try and take you up on that offer if I am ever in your neck of the woods.
The graphic granite looks fun! When I started, I had better luck shaping tear drops. I still struggle with ovals making them symmetrical. Great results for your first cab! 👍
Thanks, I will try out the tear shape.
That peristerite is super rad! I would how it would tumble? Also, that place looks like a great fishing spot!
Thank you, it is pretty rad eh. It is a bit to fracture prone and there a bit to much quartz mixed in material so it doesn't tumble well at all.
Also actually on this trip a couple locals walked by when I was leaving and they were going to the same spot to fish.
@@Ontario_Rockhound I would get my pole in the water with a bell on the end in a rod holder and rockhound until I got one 🤣
Heck yeah, I would pack my gear in and click a bell on my pole and wait for the "Ding ding" while i'm digging.
🤣🤣🤣
So knowledgeable , can this peristerite be tumbled easy ? How to do this? Thanks!
Thank you! My experience with peristerite is that it's a bit harder to tumble well, but it is still possible.
GREAT video Aidan !!!!! The Graphic Granite cab is awesome brother. How can I pick between the 2 when both are awesome. Do you play with a torch and set that cab in silver? Enjoyed the video a lot Aidan. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful spot to dig.
Thanks Kevin! I haven't got that far with cabs, but for now I don't have any plans yet.
@@Ontario_Rockhound It's easy and fun bro. I've capped many crystals and set many cabs. I know you could do it.
I will have to do some research then 😉
One time I was taking a shit in the woods while I was turkey hunting and I looked down and I seen a big sandy. I almost shit right on top of it.
That is an interesting way to find a point.
awww those babies were eaten by a predator. But good call letting everyone know to be careful!
Maybe, I don't know for sure, but its a spot that is used yearly by the local turtles so it could also be that the turtles when digging their new nests dug up the old one from the year before?
