Great hunt and you found some really sweet stuff. I was particularly drawn to the fossil (of course) and the fluorite. It's amazing you can hunt and find that material so readily. Your wild sea spray that you knocked from the matrix is also a highlight. The whole thing was great, thanks for sharing!
Wow! You found a lot of really cool specimens! I love fluorite and the ones you found are awesome! The piece of selenite/gypsum is really cool! The way it wore due to erosion is just amazing! It's a very unique piece for sure! And the dolomite and the calcite pieces are awesome as well but the favorite is the worn away gastropod that has been replaced with the drusy! That's amazing! I do like stuff in the host rock! The gypsum was cool too. All around some good things. I will have to watch again as I forgot I had it on in the background and missed the first half of the premier 😅 oops.
It's getting very difficult to find big Fluorites there now. You did well considering. I found a few mm size purple Fluorites last fall but nothing big. Still a win though.
I'm at my fluorite location in southern IL again. I arrived at my hotel tonight and will be on-site tomorrow. Loved that white sea spray piece. I think you said it was gypsum. Great video!
That was a cool trip. The geodized gastropod is awesome. Fluorite has really grabbed our interest since visiting Illinois. If you ever get down to the states you gotta check out the Ben E Clement Museum in Kentucky and then venture over to Illinois. Have a great night!
