A little faded with the blue, but still visible.
Really cool seeing the rocks and minerals.

Thanks, most of the larger pieces were faded but I did thankfully find a couple smaller fragments of real dark blue.

That unknown mineral looks like a type of feldspar. It had the flash of feldspar and the softness, plus comes in so many different types of crystal habits, theres just no telling which type, but that would be my guess. The blue scapolite was neat. Those darker blue ones were pretty, but even the lighter blue was pretty. And the pyrite cubes were an extra bonus! Nice samples too! Great video! I hope somebody can figure out what the mystery mineral is. Im not the most knowledgeable rockhound, but it looks like some form of feldspar to me. I know thats not real helpful since there are so many different types of feldspar but it has that type of flash like moonstone does or sunstone, or even a golden flash of like labradorite. You get it. Anyways, someone smarter than me?

Thanks for commenting and giving me your thoughts on what you think the mystery mineral is, I didn't even think of feldspar.

I always kind of wonder about those road cuts in the road. As they usually just cut a whole hill/mountain and then seal it up.

Yeah, that usually happens with the tall/big roadcuts, geyss we got lucky with this one.

Also some roadcuts a pretty boring some are pretty cool, usually in Central Ontario ones with pegmatites or skarns are the most interesting.

I really like the green. Did you call it fuscite?

Thanks, fuchsite, though it could be a chlorite muscovite mix.

Ontario Rockhound; @ 4:40 definitely a green scapolite, it will glow in UV, let me know if it glowed yellow-orange
