Hello Linsay, Im new to your channel and just keep wanting to watch you. Whether its your tutorials or Sat Chat or whatever you bring to us. I love that you are REAL and unapologeticly so. Your art work is fabulous and your instuctions are simple. I just wanted you to know I appreciate your characteristic and think you are just so... lol...precious.
So happy to have a watercolor tutorial!! And i love this calender going to purchase a few now!! This would be a great class at the library by the way 😉 hint hint ❤
Wet on wet was so fun, came out better than my ballerinas for Jan, I used the Dancers at the Barre for my inspiration and that was too big a challenge for me, but it was fun. Thats all that matters.
It makes me feel better that i can see the finshed painting in the begining and say thats goregous but i cant paint loose ill never be able to make that.. then by the end of the video my eye adjusts and i can see every stroke and know i can paint it. Youre a great teacher!
Hullo Lindsay, I am truly enjoying this series! I have been looking at those Tonic Paints ever since they were offered at a pre-order option! I senselessly waited to see what others thought before buying, but I wish I had pulled the trigger and just bought them! Now at $95.00 it is still a good deal, yet I am still waiting. Why? I have enough watercolor paints to last 2 lifetimes! I put off getting the Blockxx watercolors in their “giant pans” because I like ceramic pans yet I have so much great paint now! Well I am happy to watch them being used by you in this painting! I hope you continue to show us these Tonic paints in videos to come! Please take care and have a lovely day!😊
Oh, that is one painting that I thought looked really good at every stage. Lovely and “appearance of detail” is a great addition. Thanks for a fun bright painting tutorial Lindsay.
What a great video. I usually watch your reviews. This is the first time I’ve watched you paint. What a delight. I’m not much of a floral painter but would like to get better. I’d loved watching you paint these sweet poppies. My calendar is on the way in. I am an anxious to continue through the year. Thanks for doing each month.
So glad you are continuing with the calendar series! Also it’s really handy to see how you simplify your process when working with these larger pans, I’m so fascinated by them but wasn’t sure how they would fit into my own process.
Such a beautiful painting! I’m definitely inspired to try it myself. 😊 I’m glad I bought the St Louis pans early on, although the half pans are travel friendly.
Darn I knew I should have gotten those Tonic "Big Pans" wc when I had a chance....now you have to go on a wait list. I'd like to try the Tonic paints...but really, I think what's attracting me are the big flat round pans...it's like having more room in a tub to slosh around in. p.s. In order to try out how much I might enjoy painting from a large flat thin pan, I was wondering if I could find some empty round pans and just put my own tube paints in them? After searching online for empty plastic, metal or ceramic very shallow containers that would be similar to the Tonic pans, I didn't see much. I then realized 💡that lids from "whatever" products that I'm ready to toss may work for a DIY solution. Lids from candles seem pretty close..and I can spray paint them as necessary! 😊
I use 2 paint puck cups. One for clean water and one for dirty. As long as you since your brush in the dirty water first the clean will stay clean for painting.
What a lovely painting! I love poppies and these turned out so beautifully. Painting a calendar is such a great idea too. Will it be a series for the whole year with monthly paintings? Would love to see those.
I just got a dagger brush cause you love them so much. Guess I’ll be making this next! I have a pending Critique Club painting that’s …2 months old now? 😂. I can’t seem to do a good sky or rocks. Or water. 😅 Flowers sounds more up my alley.
I bought that set too. They are great mixers! Did you get the Tonic watercolor medium with it? I’m not sure how to effectively use it. Be great if you have it and can clue me in on the process! Pam

It looks great, Lindsay! I gave my calendar to my Mom and Dad and they are excited to get a new painting for it every month.

I'm so glad you're inspired to paint!
Oh thank you Lindsay , I painted along with you and I’m so pleased with it , the paper is 100% cotton and it’s wonderful to paint on 😊
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely composition! I love it when you paint this loosely. I am saving this one to do with my friend, who got the gift of your brushes :)
That's so sweet of you to do a paint along with your friend! I hope you both enjoy it.

It's a great feeling to see the finished painting at the beginning and know it's within your reach!
I love it! Especially the petals that turn over.
Thanks 😊
I’m excited to see flowers again. I love painting flowers and watching flowers being painted. And I love splashing and spattering. Beautiful!
I love splashing and spattering too!

Lovely! After going rogue last month, I’m going to follow along. Poppies are my nemesis- maybe I’ll finally figure them out 😉

Yes, I plant to do one every month, hopefully inspired by the artist quoted on the page.
@thefrugalcrafter awesome! Can't wait to see the others ❤️

Oh no! You posted 2 months ago and I haven't responded? I don't see anything in my dashboard, can you please reupload. My deepest apologies!
@@thefrugalcrafter I haven’t finished yet. I keep fidgeting with it.
I bought that set too. They are great mixers! Did you get the Tonic watercolor medium with it? I’m not sure how to effectively use it. Be great if you have it and can clue me in on the process! Pam
I didn't, I rarely use mediums with watercolor.
@ I think it came with my order. But I wasn’t sure what to do with it. 😂
Do you provide outlines
Sometimes, if it is a complex subject. We didn't draw here so I didn't.
