Added Ray Gigant and Flinthook to my budding LRG collection this morning. Have previously picked up Dragon Fantasy, One Way Heroes, Rainbow Moon, Octodad, Volume and The Swindle. Kickstarted Sundered, Battle Princess Madelyn and Mages of Mystrala to get LRG physical as well. And I am sure my Skullgirls will come someday...
Super looking forward to their release of Ys Origins. Going to be so bummed if I don't get a copy in time.

played the demo of Flinthook at PAX East.. I was really impressed all around.. It wasn't actually as brutally difficult as I thought it was going to be, which was a pleasant surprise.. Neat that they're releasing it ..too bad not for the Vita though
Cool.I was able to pick these 2 games from LRG.Not sure if I will be picking up Ray Gigant and Flinthook.
Picked up Oxenfree at this year's PAX East in Boston. Quite nice. I'd actually pay a bit more if they went the Criterion DVD/Blu-ray route and included some nice printed materials with the games they release. I am happy to have the physical release of the game, but it was a bit disappointing to open the case just to find the disc. :)
I got in the know about them in early December. Missed out on the Skullgirls physical pre-orders by a little bit sadly but so far I've gotten everything new I wanted from them when it went up. So far I've gotten Firewatch, Lone Survivor, Oxenfree, The Swapper, The Swindle, and Runner 2 from them. I also grabbed a couple from before I knew about them on eBay for not too awful prices: Shantae in Risky's Revenge, Stealth Inc, and Octodad.
Darnell5000 The Japanese release of Skullgirls is basically the exact same with English and region free. You can order from Play Asia.
I'm holding off until after the LMR version comes out and starts popping up on eBay before I decide to grab the Japanese one. I'm hoping that since it was a pre-order and will most likely have more than anything else from them, that the re-seller price isn't too crazy. If it is though, I'll go with the Japanese one.

I have a few issues with Limited Run Games. I ordered Soldner X-2, a month or so later I get an email that my I cancelled my order. I contacted them to see what had happened, they said that PayPal had an issue with payment. I ask them if I could pay using a different method, never responded. I asked on Twitter if there was an issue with them getting emails, since I got no response, they asked what the issue was, I explained and still again they ignored me. That's my biggest issue.
My other issue is how few copies they print. Which wouldn't be such a bad thing, if they didn't make such a spectacle of it. There are plenty of releases from other sources, that go on to be rare games, but these guys make sure you know there's only a set number, and then put them up at specific times. One of those times is during a time of day people are either at work, or school. That's the reseller batch, basically. The second batch is a Rush of people with a genuine interest in the game. They encourage resellers to come through, and screw over people with genuine interest.
I get that they are a small company that can't get tons of copies printed. But the whole theatrics of telling how many copies they have, and doing batch releases, is the opposite of what a company that claims to be for collectors would do. They're essentially waving a "come flip these for a profit" flag.
What's funny, the one time they did actual preorders, and who knows when those are shipping. You ask them about Skullgirls and they pretty much just say go ask the other guys. Makes you feel like they just took your money, and have no real concern about if you'll get your product.
I hope they make a physical Dead Nation

i have no idea what to say about limited run games.... conceptually they're an amazing company, but, im not a fan, at all, i have 2 of their games, that i want to just get rid of, but withought selling them. not sure how i'm going to go about it. i want skull girls thats it

I have, but the interest wasn't as high when I actually made those videos. Unfortunate how many people say they'd like something, but don't actually follow through.

During 2:18 - 2:20 were those glitches part of the actual game? I just had to ask, I thought it seemed rad, specially if it's part of the gameplay experience .
It is part of the gameplay yes! Very trippy, unsettling game.

I am big RPG guy. So first game i bought from Limited Run X) was Ray Gigant. I was dispointed when the game was only coming out Digital... and than i saw this as physical copy release =o INSTANT buy

zombee38 it's realllly tough to control. We actively screen as best we can. Out of 200000 games sold so far though, only about 400 are up for resell currently. We've fought to control that number down as best as we know how short of alienating actual customers in the process. Definitely feel your pain though- seems to happen to me everyone a concert I want to go to is in town
Ray Gigant. Are you pronouncing it correctly? I'm not doubting you, just want to ask if you're sure on its pronunciation. I can not stop myself from pronouncing it as Ray Gigantic (without the "ic") but I've always felt confident my way is in fact wrong, lol.
"Giant" is derived from the word "giga." That's where I'm basing my pronounciation on.
That makes a lot of sense, thanks! Pretty sure my brain's never going to correct the way I say it though :/ hahah
