I have seen that this cleanser has acetone in it that’s what’s causing the white spots as it’s eating away at the acrylic and gel in the Polygel mix, use just alcohol it’s much better and it will stop those white patches, I hate to say stuff like this, but it’s constructive and useful so I thought I would mention it, I would just use it to clean up the cuticle area and also to clean my brush or use it as a nail prep solution to wipe nail in advance of putting on your base coat or something like that instead 💖 great review really enjoyed it, did the nail stay on ? I’m looking to review this myself so I’m just asking for some other people’s opinions on it 💖
Pumpkins’s Nail Station don’t feel sorry about it! I really appreciate your feedback and tips, I am seriously amazed to know that alcohol can be used instead of that liquid cleanser 😱 I really appreciate the info! And yes the nail is still there, it looks very nice and natural too. Loved it
By Clouser yea you did a great job, I’m new to Polygel and will be posting my first every Polygel video I will sculpt a nail on paper forms, I prefer those if I’m honest, but I’m looking forward to trying out modelones Polygel kit with there new improved dual forms in the kit, well I’m hoping it’s there new ones if not I’m going to buy some like these that you used from ysnail , what dual forms did u use?
Sometimes it's acetone but other times it's just alcohol but either way you shouldn't use too much because alcohol still breaks down the structure of the gel (and acrylic if it's acetone)
Omni Lawrence yea I use 70% alcohol and remove most excess and keep going untill my brush ish sticky .. generally I try to reduce the level of contact to Polygel unless it’s necessary, but thanks fir the reply x
Hi Brenda!🤗 Hey... this was really helpful! A few months ago my nails *finally* grew out to “ my personal long”, and after a couple of months of them doing great, and enjoying them, 2 of my nails on the corners broke and! It’s on my swatch hand! Why?!!😩 I did purchase about 3 months ago a polygel kit in CLEAR in case this were to ever happen. Well, it did, so... looks like I’ll be attempting to use this. I’m going to try to just rebuild the corners that broke though instead of the whole nail. What do you think? This was a great review AND for your 1st time?! ... wow girl!👏🏻👏🏻😍 You wanna come over and fix mine now? Haha!😁 I just want my long, confident nails back...!!! I’m not going to cut/file them all down though, when I’ve made such progress... up until yesterday.😭😤 I need your advice! TY!❤️ All my love & hugs... Your girl, Lynette💕
Thank you Lynette 💕 I’m sorry to hear your nails broke! That’s so heart breaking, and to answer your question yes! You can do the corner only, but you can’t expect for it to last long tho. Anyways this would be enough until your nails start growing again ☺️
ByClouser Thank you so much for your help! You see, I tried regular acrylic powder w/ solution a couple yrs ago, and I destroyed my nail. Is polygel easier to work with... more forgiving? And, should I use the dual forms with it, or just forms that you typically see when someone goes to the salon to get their nails done? The break isn’t that bad, there’s just a chunk missing on the side.. on both nails. Arg!😤 TYSM!💗
I tried PolyGel once, it was also my first time using it but I wanted to try it because I broke some of my nails. It looked really good but when I wanted to remove it, it just won’t come out and I had to cut my nails again to remove the rest of the PolyGel. I would like to see how you’re going to remove it. Maybe I did something wrong while doing it. 😊 ♥️
thank you for the idea, I will be showing how to remove it once my nail grows. I have seen a couple of videos that I think might help me find the best way to remove it.
Saja Nails Art yes alchol is a great slip solution I only mentioned it because I have seen it mentioned by a few people that this slip has acetone and causes whit spots, heard u mention the white spots so thought I would tell u 💖

This says it’s a video on how to fix a broken polygel nail, but this video wasn’t about that at all….
