In the end I didn't even need to use the Beatstep Pro, I could have done the exact same thing with the Pro 3 sequencer. But I was dreaming of pounding out beats...

That Pro 3 bass is too low in the mix!
hmm I was pretty happy with this mix, though this is a fair criticism of it. I probably could have gotten it louder by pre-eqing some of the mids out of the drum samples, but it's kind of a backwards workflow there so I just let it go this time. I'll probably end up doing some more sample processing for the next one to bring more focus to the bass.
How many hp is that pod?
60hp. It's the powered one. I love it

You are also HP filtering through the Polivoks, right?
It’s a band pass through the polivoks. Only the Rhodes samples are going through that, to make them mix a little better
@@Sound_ology (I stand corrected… typo, I meant BP); interesting combo with the Befaco. Always flirted with the idea of investing in this module from Erica, but ELTA is now coming up with v3 of its Polivoks module so thinking about it 🤔
@@citadel314 I love my polivoks filter. I feel like you need to modulate it with noise to get it closer to an actual polivoks, but whatever it is it sounds really good. It has hard clipping if you push it hard but it’s really nice just before that point
