Battlefield 1 is comprised of 5 different war stories spread out through the different theaters of World War 1. Here are the 5 endings to each story,

There are Multiplayer Operations in which how can I say mimic Central Powers story if u choose to be one.
Well, since people are loving the war stories so far, I'm almost certain that we'll get more war stories as dlc.

I'm sure it would be correct to say from the " Triple Alliance's" perspective.
The Italian Chapter is the best war story. It has a beautiful, sad and realistic story about a nightmare, two brothers fighting together knowing that this might be the last time they see each other.
It is very storytelling, the missions are epic and well done, and the ending is perfect it’s sad but they made it so good and it felt so real.
My personal favorite
Not together, they're is in different regiment, matteo is just normal italian army and the "Main Character" is working as Italian Arditi. but still, this chapter is heart touching
The Runner got me. But honestly I think this is the best campaign I ever played since Black Ops 2. I bought this game instead of infinite warfare and I'm glad I did.

They should have had a mission where you play as a german flametrooper, and throughout it the flametrooper is describing the horrors he saw as he burnt the soldiers alive, how he has no choice. And at the end he ends up saving both british and german troops from the rubble of a bunker after it gets shelled by friendly artillery, and after he saves them he ends up burning alive. But instead of feeling panicked at his combustion, the german soldier accepts it as the flames to redeem him of his sins.
Essentially, a war story of a German flametrooper who wished to redeem himself of the destruction he caused by saving both friend and foe and burning in the flames he killed with.

Or a story about a soldier and his dog. Iirc I think I heard somewhere about dogs being used by Germany for tracking/scouting etc? I might be wrong, but that's basically what I'm hinting at.

to make it worse, at the end of the Matteo story he says "Happy birthday, Matteo". that always gets me. And when the song at the end of the runner kicks in, it gives me freaking goosebumps.

The Italian one actually got me pretty hard because the character looks a lot like my brother and it's always been harder for me to imagine him fighting in a war than it is to imagine myself

i was in the army. these endings meant a lot to me. idc what people say. since battlefield one these stories are the best i have ever played and i hope they don't stop.every person can understand where these people come from in their own way.

I’m not sure Lawrence would have respected Sykes-Picot, I don’t think that was his motive, could be wrong. Truthfully though, I think the Middle East may have been better off under Ottomans today.

The Italian mission was the most tragic in my mind. It was the only one with no happy ending for any of those involved.

The campaigns excellent gameplay and story combined with beautiful background music this is one of my favorite game campaigns (depressing too)

I'm a bit confused as to how the "Friends in high places" story ended.. If he'd truly killed Wilson back at no man's land then who was there to release him from his cuffs while he was on the railing? It couldn't have been possible that he picked up a gun from a dead body since no one else but Rackham was near him.. The idea that Wilson and the soldier could've died from the fall isn't very hard to believe either. Also if you look closely a single playing card with a clover lands right next to him when he rises from the river. Does it imply that he may have gotten lucky? Guess we'll never know..

The one of the Italians and the Wilson Wilson Blackburn one actually was a very good story ngl, also I am Italian and didn't much know about the Italian past as I study more other countries, respect to who died in the war towards Savoy (Savoia).
Some of them literally made me tear up. God willing, the world will never forget the Lost Generation.

I like how they really took the time to not only make a great game but add the realism that happened in WW1 into this it feels more like a contribution to the soldiers who fought in WW1 you can't imagine how it felt going home you had killed another human being, behind those uniforms, and the soldiers fighting under those flags, they are all just human beings all wanting to go home to their family no one really joins the army to kill someone, they only join to protect and serve their country I can't say I know exactly if that's the truth but I know it's why id join, as much as they may have tried to kill me, I will help them to their feet and I will be a human I will have a soul, ill just have to hope they are the same
You know I used to love playing COD but after playing Battlefield war stories I've realized, this is so emotionally captivating and so much more mature. This one hit me really hard in the feels. Playing COD now feels like bratty hooliganism.

Its a part of our history as a nation, plus because of that conflict our nations are closer than they were ever before, thats why we Australians are proud not of our actions, but of how we overcame these struggles through mateship, while also being the youngest ever nation to go to war.
