I tried, but I learned from a senior NBC staff member that SNL no longer hands out standby tickets on Saturdays. They hand the tickets out on Friday. This senior staff member looked at me in my Stevie Nicks t-shirt for three hours with a puzzled look on his face. At least I got to see the sunrise over Manhattan.
The lady brought her 'A' game....as she always does, despite a glitch in the sound production. But she is nothing if not professional. And she should be looked up to by the younger generation of performers. She always maintains a sense of decorum when being interviewed, whether on camera or for written media. She thinks about the question that is asked her and gives a well thought out and informative answer. She suffers no fools and is very intelligent. And she does not mind making waves or social statements with her music/songs (Lighthouse). She is timeless and we all should enjoy her talent and being while we are lucky enough to have her. Both performances were awesome. Shout out to Waddy.....YOU are awesome, my man!
It was SNL magic. It was the first time Id heard the Lighthouse song and I had tears streaming down my face with the urgent power of it.
