తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లాలో అమలాపురం అనే పట్టణానికి 25 km దూరంలో ఉన్న కాట్రేనికొన అనే మండలానికి చెందిన గచ్చకాయల పొర అనే గ్రామం బంగాళాఖాతం నకు అతి సమీపంలో వున్న ఒక గ్రామం..
సముద్రంలో ఏదైనా తుఫాన్ గానీ ,సునామీ గానీ ఏర్పడిన ముందుగా దాని ప్రభావానికి గురయ్యే ఒకే ఒక గ్రామం.,... గచ్చకాయల పొర అనే గ్రామం..
.. ఈ గ్రామం చుట్టూ కొన్ని వేల ఏకరల్లో విస్తరించి ఉన్న ఒక సరస్సు..వుండడం వల్ల ఈ గ్రామం చాలా అందముగా వుంటుంది....
అలాగే ఈ సరస్సు వుండడం వల్ల 4 నెలలు ఈ గ్రామం నీటిలో మునిగి వుంటుంది.,

దగ్గు మందు లో ఆల్కాహాల్ ఎందుకు కలుపుతారు ?
ఆల్కహాలు ద్వార మత్తు కలుగుతుంది, అప్పుడు ఆ స్థితిలో ఉన్న బ్యాక్టీరియా ను సమూలముగా మందు ద్వార నాశనము చేయవచ్చు అలాగే నిద్రలో కూడ మందు బాగా పని చేస్తుంది, మత్తులో ఈ క్రిములు స్పెరెడ్డు అవవు, బాడీ రెస్టులో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఆంటిబాడీలు బాగా పనిచేస్తాయి !
సాధారణ దగ్గు కు వాడే మందులో antitussive,carminative గుణాల కోసం కర్పూరం మరియి ఇతర సహజ మూలికలు వంటివి వాడతారు. ఐతే ఇక్కడ సమస్య ఏమిటంటే ఇవి నీటిలో పూర్తిగా కరగవు. ఆల్కాహాల్ కి ఆ శక్తి వుంది కాబట్టి సోల్యూబుల్ ఏజెంట్ గా వాడతారు .
ఇక రెండవది ఏమంటే, మిస్కిబిలిటీ .
మిస్కిబిలిటీ అంటే ఒక ద్రావణo మరో ద్రావణంలో చక్కగా కలిసిపోయే గుణం. ఉదాహరణకి పాలూ నీళ్ళలా. అలా కానివి నీళ్ళు నూనె అనుకోవచ్చు.ఆల్కాహాల్ హైడ్రో ఆక్సీ వర్గానికి చెందడం వల్ల సోల్యుబులిటీ (కరిగించుకునే గుణం) పెరుగుతుంది.
మూడవది చిక్కదనం.
ఇది చక్కర (సుక్రోస్) వంటివి అధికంగా ఉన్న దగ్గు మందులో కన్సిస్టెన్సీ ( చిక్కదనం ) సమంగా ఉండటానికీ పైగా ఆ చెక్కెర గడ్డకట్టకుండా ఉండటానికీ ఉపయోగపడుతుంది.
ఇక నాలుగవది ఏమిటంటే, చెక్కర అధికంగా ఉండే ద్రావకం అవడం వల్ల బూజు పట్టే అవకాశం మెండు. ఇలా ఎక్కువ కాలం నిల్వ ఉంచాలంటే ఆల్కాహాలే శరణ్యం.
ఇక నిలువ చేయడానికీ, మిగతా మూలికల మిశ్రమాలు కరగటానికీ, బూజు గట్రా పట్టకుండా ఉండడానికే కాక రోగికి చక్కటి నిద్ర పట్టించే గుణం( సెడేటివ్ నేచర్ ) కూడా ఆల్కాహాల్కి ఉండడం వల్లనే దగ్గు మందుల్లో కలుపుతారు

Hi Harsha Garu, How are you? Nice to see like these places around our E.G and W.G. We are very glad/blessed to be called as E.G & W.G People. and more over coming to the topic about Rainwater and drainage facilities. I also felt very bad about it. Very nice scenery to outers like us. But for the villagers it is so difficult to survive. Recently i heard about Sponge city concept- in this concept 3 solutions are there 1) Make small ,small ponds then the water slowly to enters into the village 2) Make a canal throughout the village but the Canal should go in Curve shapes which will flow the water from the village 3) It is good to leave the down areas to live in- if they wantedly built their houses in downside areas, it is like a foolish act, going against to water bodies. but in my view, Villagers should sacrifice some of their lands to dig a curve shaped canal which should be a very down sloped area to their houses which will gave a route to water to flow and it will automatically Squeeze the water from their houses and pass over through the canal and whenever they built a new house their foundation should be very high, hopefully in future the village should be at higher ground level. This is in my view only. if am i going in a wrong concept please let me know. Thankyou.
