The Wait is Over! The Audi Q4 e-tron Has Landed In the USA!

- Nearly 2 years in the making, the Audi Q4 e-tron is finally here in the United States! I took our 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron 50 AWD in the prestige trim. The exterior color is Navara Blue with Santos Brown interior. There are so many features jam packed in this little car. I am so impressed that Audi finally gave us what we American's have been asking for years...BIGGER CUP HOLDERS! And even bonus 1.5L water bottle holders in the doors.
Another one of the coolest features of the Q4 e-tron is the debut of the Audi Augmented Reality Heads Up Display. The way that Audi has fine tuned the system to work with navigation is truly seamless. I can't wait to see what other vehicles they put it on next!
The Audi Q4 sportback is almost identical to the regular Q4. I will be making additional videos on a Q4 sportback when we get one!

Really nice detailed review. I ordered a Q4 Sportback in this same color combo. Now if only Audi can get their orders fulfilled faster than a 10-12 month order window.

Nice review. I think this is the first one I've seen with the brown interior. Looks nice! Audi really needs to rethink the haptic controls on the steering wheel though and all the piano black and hard plastic are a deal breaker for me. If I were to ever get one of these I would have the interior piano black elements wrapped. I look forward to your Q6 review in the coming years! :)
Thanks! I agree, I’m very apprehensive about the touch buttons and all of the piano black. But it sure looks amazing when it’s clean. I hope in the future they come out with other options.
After 10 months and 10k miles from can confirm piano black is a pain. I’ve not had a problem with the haptic buttons on the steering wheel- you can use the like regular buttons.

Great video. Glad you guys are finally getting the Q4. I’ve gone 10k miles since I got mine 10 months ago and I absolutely love it. I’ve got a 40 S-Line RWD so it’s not as highly specced as the 50 you’ve reviewed, and in the U.K. there are some items you’d expect as standard that are actually on the options list 😬 Overall it’s a great car 🏴

I have been waiting since January 2022 as well. Apparently, the iD4 shares a plant with the Audi Etron. Now Chattanooga Tennessee has a plant that will build iD4s and it will free up the plant for Audi's back in Germany. I am told 4-6 months now.

Great in-depth video as always. I have to say I am disappointed that Audi did not put in the 360 camera in this car. I am also disappointed in the lack of Apple CarPlay. It seems to me Audi is always behind the technology for the cockpit. I also don’t know if I’m a fan of the pedestrian warning sound, can you hear that inside the car while driving?
What is your overall thoughts of the Audi Q4 e-tron? Do you think wait until until we see what comes out in 2023 or jump on to 2022.
Also have you heard that this car is still available for the tax incentive as long as you get it before the new law goes into affect?
Thanks! The 2023 should* have the 360 camera. And I must have said something wrong…it comes standard with apple car play and android auto. So you can use your NAV.
I liked the Q4, I think I’d wait until 2023 so I can spec it exactly how I’d want.
As of right now, it does not qualify for any primarily due to it being manufactured overseas.
I’ve enjoyed all of your e tron videos. If you had to choose between the Q4 prestige and the entry level e tron without considering the price difference, which would you recommend? Does the air suspension make a big difference on the full sized e tron?
Thank you! That is a hard choice. If I had to choose I’d say I would choose the e-tron for comfort. The e-tron has much better ride and is quieter on the road.

I would disagree greatly. The Q3 is in the same segment as the Q3, and the Q4 is even more luxurious than the Q3. I genuinely think it packs a ton of luxury for the segment of vehicle!

What happened to the new square steering wheel? I liked that. I hope it comes with it still. I ordered Jan 10, 2022. Still waiting.
Where did you order yours? The "Square" flat top and bottom steering wheel is only available on the 2022 with the S line package. They removed it for 2023. However you can get it on the sportback!
Don't you have a 360° camera?
The 2022s do not. It should be back for 2023

As a current Audi owner, this vehicle is not competitive in its premium segment and seems uncharacteristically half baked. Other than the user interface,the ID.4 appears to be the better vehicle.
As it is an A segment car and does not compare to the Q5 or current e-tron I felt they did a good job with the amount of features available. The Q3 still does not have a heated steering wheel…
Q4 is not supposed to be flagship car. That belongs to E tron at the moment. Q4 is made to compete with ID 4 etc.... You can see the interior is more refined than ID 4, and will have extra features like HUD Dsiplay

For 2022+ the Q4 50 and Q4 50 Sportback come standard with a heat pump
@@emilytheaudinerd Thx for getting back to me on this. Where did you find this information? I've gone through the entire website looking for it. There is no mention on the heat pump at all. If there is a way to forward info to me directly on this it would be appreciated.
Out trainer was here today and I double checked with him. It is not on the window sticker or option list. But only the RWD does not have one. Both AWD models will have the heat pump.
If you are including cars that aren't sold in the US, you are missing the following cars which share the MEB platform: VW ID.3, VW ID.5, VW ID Buzz, and Cupra Born, in Europe, and the VW ID.6, and Audi Q5 e-tron, in China.
You are correct, I was trying not to give too much info. The 3 vehicles are super similar. While the others are different sizes than the Q4.
I was hoping to be able to pick up power ups with the augmented reality.. nonetheless, blessed husband.
I was hoping it would do a few more things, but I have to remember that this is just the first vehicle to have it. I can't wait to see what they do with it next!

Are we sure about a rwd version? This would be the first audi electric to offer 2wd and audi usa literature says awd standard and build configurator does not list anything other than quattro at least in america
