ever since i got my Positive Grid Spark Go a few weeks ago, i play along to backing tracks like this on the go. i walk to my guitar lesson and i play while walking. it's very challenging but very good practice for when you're moving around while playing.

Awesome thanks! That was the idea. I teach guitar and bass lessons, and this has developed over the years. I used to give students an audio track to take home to practice with. They would come back the next week and say they had fun with it but they would get lost. So I started thinking about how to make it easy for someone to follow even if they are a super new beginner. I am working on some new Play Along Loops. Subscribe and turn on notifications so you know when new videos are published.

thainks for this i could practice playing each note as a whole note or qquarter note or whatever . its a nice practice for me if im burned out from practicing because its forces me to match the notes and its not too diificult

This progression is used in a lot of worship songs. It is also the progression for "How Great Is Our God" by Chris Tomlin. However, they put the F# is the bass when playing the D chord. Do you know any other tunes that use this progression?

How can i play solo over this chord ?
Use the G major Pentatonic scale. Start on the third string open then second fret. Move to second string open then third fret. Move to first string open then third fret. Now noodle with only these notes in any order or pattern, remember to play to the beat as if you were singing along to the track.

This chord progression is actually the chorus of hundreds of pop tunes. Which is why I used it for the practice resource. for a chorus use c g am f, it fits well, also d a bm g fits well but these are a little bit cliche.. if you want a real modulation go with Eb major👌🏻

Maybe, I'm no expert. I know how to do what I do but that's about it. I know people use it for a large range of purposes. I watch a lot of how to videos. I also joined some Ableton FaceBook groups. My my recent loops have a verse and a chorus. It's the same chord progression with a different feel to create the verse and chorus.
