I think when Miquella spoke of "My loyal blade" he's talking about Malenia, Blade of Miquella.

I don’t think that’s accurate. The Golden Order was founded on the belief that Marika is the one true god. If Miquella became god, it would no longer be the Golden Order, but whatever Miquella willed.

Radahn was not necessarily a golden order loyalists and I think that’s the biggest misconception people make about him. It doesn’t say anywhere that he was loyal to the golden order, it only says he admired Godfrey and his father’s red hair

@@mitchryan257 I believe they were all empyreans before the shattering, which would imply it was taken for granted that Marika would be succeeded. At one point Miquella may have represented the "chosen" heir of the Golden Order.
None of this is actually my view though. I am more inclined to believe Radahn was charmed from the beginning. We know from our fight with Miquella that he expresses his charms as promises. If he charms us in this way twice, we vow to serve him.

Miquella really accounted for everything, had our all of our journey planned and calculated, except for the one thing that ultimately was his downfall: that we would find Mimic Tear ashes.

    Miquella’s hit list:
    1. Godwyn, prince of death - black knife assassins in city goal to haligtree, castle sol, and golden epitaph. Probably intended to use him like how he ends using mogh as the “body” of his consort. So he could combine him and radahn to have a consort of the two nicest demigods.
    2. Albuniracs - props up the haligtree as a haven to their kind. When in actuality all albuniracs in the haligtree are encased in cacoons to most likely feed the tree. Which was all for naught.
    3. Radahn - wanted his kindness and power, but couldn’t use him as the body since it got nuked by malenia. And the consort would fall apart at the seams by scarlet rot.
    4. Mogh - since the prince of death was off the table due to ranni and radahn’s interventions. He used mogh since he made contact with a outer god.
    5. Malenia - miquella most likely intended to off his sister with radahn. But finley saved her, leaving malenia listless and dejected when we find her in the haligtree. Fighting us in hopes that we can best her and that she too could be brought back after miquella acquired his consort and be freed from the rot.

I also believe that Godwyn was plan A and Mohg was plan B. This is why Miquella wants him to die a true death. I think Radahn might have gone along with the plan of becoming one being with Godwyn, but when the switch was made to Mohg he refused to do it.

My current opinion on Radahn and Miquella is that Miquella successfully bewitched Radahn, and they made the promise to each other, then when the shattering occurred, miquella’s spell broke, like what happens in the dlc, and Radahn decides that he has to stop Miquella. This also explains why he switched from his fancy light swords to his gravity swords from the base game, as the light swords are blessed or at least in regards to Miquella. After he halted the stars to halt miquella’s fate, Miquella sent Melania on a campaign through Caelid in order to take down Radahn, that’s why she whispered to him about the promise, sort of a ‘gotcha’ kind of thing. Could be completely wrong but this is the best I could wrap my head around it

I never liked Miquella. He well-receive misbegottens and albinaurics 'cause when they died, their souls wont go to Erdtree. Miquella wished their souls to go to haligtree, he tried to achieve godhood in a lot of manners, using others. Morgott does the same for both the mountain top of the giants and the 3 finger's area in the shunning grounds.

Radahn enduring the lion's claw skill from tarnished to protect leonard even at the cost of his life. truly a hero. also its interesting to see miquella choose radahn as his consort and st trina (miquella others half) has Putrescent Knight as guardian (giving vibe of leonard, radahn others half)

Radahn may have been "kind" in the same way that Miquella was "tender". Let's take into account that Miyasaki has yet to make a single "God" that isn't a selfish jerk. In any of his games. He seems to have a pretty contemptuous opinion about gods and clergy.
He was, after all, a guy that liked battle more than anything else. Sure he was a good general and his soldiers (more war hungry people) loved him, and he was good to ol' Leonard. But he was still a war-loving maniac... Most Gods in Souls games tend to be very loyal to their own, but are still pretty ready to destroy everything and everyone else to get what they want.
Radahn may or may have never agreed to Miquella's proposal. We may never know. But like you said: as he grew older, he became more enamored with his other heritage. So, more than stopping Miquella because he sensed him to be an actual monster, he probably just did what he needed to get out of a destiny that didn't align anymore with what he wanted.

A valid interpretation as well yet the event was a huge hit to the carian royal family which stopped their fate (Radahn's family) and was of a huge assistance to the golden order (telescope item description) I don't think an event as big as this would be just for the sole reason of protecting the lands between from beasts especially since we know that the Greater will is the one that sent some of them to punish some of his enemies (astel and the nox).

Well idk see it makes sense if you think of it like this..
Miquella was very close to godwin, that's obvious. I Ranni already admitted to being involved in the night of the black knives, most likely with the help of Rykard (Rykard had control of the military and courts)
I believe Radahn knew Ranni was behind the murder and halted the stars as a big middle finger to her.
Unfortunately that had uninteded consequences for Miquella because he needed a eclipse to reserect godwin.
However miquella also didn't realize Ranni also kinda screwed him over too by killing godwin in sprit and not body.
So the reserection was a failure.
I believe Radahn was just a plain B.
I believe miquella went to Radahn and asked him to be his consort but Radahn refused. Another failure on miquella.
Miquella was most likely frustrated with his failure and as a child he took it out on the closest person he could use. So he sent his big sister to go "beat up the bully" so he can have his way and hopefully reserect godwin in godhood. Or not, godwin is pretty screwed at this point. 😅

It’s safe to say Radhan refused miquella offer so what if all the Carian siblings worked together. All three siblings are the children of one of the most powerful sorcerers in the lands between so they’re knowledge for this wouldn’t be a stretch. I believe ranni targeted godwyn believing godwyn body would be used originally instead of mogh to transfer her brother soul so with the help of rykard she stole the rune of death to kill godwyn soul and body decay to stop miquella but they didn’t count on how serious and obsessed miquella was to see his plans succeed he came up with plan b to use mohg instead. @@azureascendant994 No, empyreans seem to have one of their eyes closed - Ranni is the only definitive example, but we also have examples in other children of Marika like Melina with her closed gloam-colored eye and Messmer (We can not be sure about Malenia’s eyes because of rot though). Marika Herself has one closed eye when we see her head after the final boss. Miquella it seems also like Ranni, Messmer and Melina had one closed eye, his other eye he divested himself from and left it at the Scaduview cross. So by the end he was left with no eyes. So much speculation...we already knew that radahn stoped the stars to secure sellia and to ride leonard, cause he felt a connection with the horse just like gaius with his friend the boar...the amber starlight doesnt belong to miquella or malenia, its a remmant of the golden star, the elden beast...the golden star that fell in the land and that waa sent by the greater will, was elden beast, thats why amber stars control the fate of gods...radahn stopped normal stars, the ones who the remmants are the blue starlight...the plot over the amber starlight is that marika is controled by the amber star (the beast) cause as the description says, it controls the fate of gods, marika/radagon....control the fate its control marika itself
The draught has no effect on ranni cause shes an empyrean, a potential god, but not yet a god...
    Same for miquella

    • @G4meplus
      @G4meplus  13 днів тому

Yes it's a theory not a fact, but Radahn didn't stop the stars for Leonard. He learned gravity magic to ride Leonard that doesn't have anything to do with stopping the stars.
The point about protecting Selia is lore accurate you are right but usually events as big is this have multiple reasons not just one. I am proposing here that it wasn't just for protecting Selia judging by the huge significance of the event.
Radahn stopping the stars stopped the fate for the entire carian royal family which is his family as well and was a huge assist to the golden order (telescope item description).
the Elden beast has nothing to do with the golden amber, the Elden beast was originally a star sent by the Greater will to become the Elden Ring. This doesn't have anything to do with the amber starlight that came way after this event.
In your opinion why do you think there is a statue of Miquella built in front of the amber starlight and why was it though to be able to control other demigods (a power we know Miquella is associated with) and why is the place called saint trina hideaway in the internal files?

@@G4meplus youre wrong...read the remembrance of adult radahn, the starscourge remembrance says it very clear: "The Red Lion General wielded gravitational powers which he learned in Sellia during his younger days. All so he would never have to abandon his beloved but scrawny steed."
Radahn learns gravity to ligth himself and ride leonard again despite his giant size...his máster, the alabaster, a protector of sellia, entrusted him the labor to destroy the astels and secure sellia...the young radahn beat the stars, and, as a consecuence he regained control over his fate...but he does not wanted in first time that, its a consecuence of his victory over the stars...
If radahn was controlled all that time, ¿how could miquella let him defy the stars knowing he will scape his control?
Miquella control people cause his great rune, thats why, now we have that artefact, can resist the charm over miquella himself..
And the amber starlight has everything related to elden beast, cause, the shard itself comes from a golden star, and the only one ww know, its elden beast...plus, the daught has no effect on ranni, cause miquella power has no link with that....the power of miquella is to become loved by others, no control everything in the life of people
I think its a solid theory the one you propone, but has so many flaws that make it inconsistent in some points, not in all...by the way, great work

@@G4meplus i forget to response the golden amber...i think its implied that the golden amber, from a golden star (elden beast) its a reference of how the golden order has plans for the empyreans to be controled by the beast itself...thats why the golden stars command the fate of gods, ergo, marika, ranni, and the prodigies...miquella worked all his life to cur the influence of outher gods, so, the amber light could reference the moment when miquella realises his own Mother its a puppet of Greater Will, two fingers and the beast itself

None of this really matters because the lore is just a really low grade attempt to justify having a prime Radahn boss fight for the epic gamer reactions. Nothing in the base game connected Miquella to Radahn, because there was no such connection. What's more, if riding Radahn was really his sole obsession, why did the base game choose to dwell on Miquella's obsession with curing Godwyn of his undeath, or building the Haligtree to cure Malenia's rot? These are completely at odds with anything DLC Miquella seems to care about, hence why they are simply never mentioned at all in the DLC lore.
Base game Miquella and DLC Miquella are two different characters, because the DLC lore exists to justify the boss fights. That's it.

    • @Psilo-gn1sx
      @Psilo-gn1sx 19 днів тому

You're looking at all of these things as separate events, and not the fact that Miquella himself is at the crux of them.
Why Goodwin was targeted by Ranni was always a mystery, but now we have a pretty good assumption: he was Miquella's first choice in consort. We know he tried and failed to revive Godwyn with the Eclipse, and now we know why it was important to him at all.
The Haligtree is watered with Miquella's blood. Emperyan blood is an ingredient for bewitching branches. The Haligtree is a giant mind control radio station. Considering he uses Mohg's blood as a medium to enter the Shadow Lands, it's possible the whole sanctuary angle was just to gather as many "arcane" types under his control as possible.
The DLC didn't retcon the things Miquella cared about, it revealed those things were always a means to an end. It's hard to remember these are dynamic characters thousands of years old that have gone through entire arcs by the time we are introduced to them. Their motives and opinions aren't always going to be consistent.

@@Psilo-gn1sx The whole thing with Souls storytelling is that it invites the players to create entire headcanons even when it clearly doesn't make sense. Now you've established a way that everything Miquella did in the base game was purely a matter of controlling/enslaving everyone around him at any cost, and all the worst stuff that Miquella did even according to the DLC takes place before he gets to the land of shadow, but then we're also told he abandoned his love once he gets there like that's some terrible revelation. I guess when he had his love he was still just a massive sociopath regardless, so what difference does it make?
If the Haligtree was just a radio tower for mind control, why build it in the first place if his only goal was getting Radahn? Why would Godwyn be his first choice for consort when the DLC tells us that Miquella and Radahn made a childhood vow? This whole exercise is pointless.

    • @Psilo-gn1sx
      @Psilo-gn1sx 19 днів тому

@@societyman6591 I don't think he was a sociopath, just a combination of native and ambitious. People assume Miquella's curse only effects his body, but he's essentially Griffith meets Peter Pan: an ambitious, ageless child who has alternatives to confronting the realities of growing up. I don't think he's malicious, I just think he doesn't understand removing everyone's free will is worse than suffering. It almost mirrors Marika's attempt to avoid loss by removing Death.
I don't think Miquella relishes in the fact that he nuked Caelid, but I'm sure he justifies it by blaming Radahn for leaving in the first place. I'm sure as far as Miquella concerned, if everyone just did what he said, none of this would have happened, anyway.

Not supporting the thought of incest, but I think the writers of the plot made a universe wherein incest is non-existent and never taboo to the creatures of the Lands Between. Also, that every Empyreans, demi-gods and Numens treat everyone genderless hence the body Type A and B in the character select and majority of armors always look male. But do note that a form of race discrimination exists such as the case of the curse-born Omens, and hierarchy/loyalty is always depicted.

Never understood why Radahn’s halting of the stars was a mystery. It’s fairly straightforward - Radahn wanted to protect the Golden Order. Not from Miquella, but rather from Ranni. What happens the moment you kill Radahn? A star falls and opens the path to Nokron. The path Ranni needs to bring her age. An age devoid of gold and greater will. Surely Radahn wouldn’t want to play part in Miquella’s uprooting of the Golden Order either, however that doesn’t seem to be associated with a star. It might be - there are 4 stars that guide fate, and to the best of my knowledge we know of 3 of those - the blood star, the finger mother and the elden beast. Miquella might have a star of his own, however it doesn’t seem Radahn’s actions halt Miquella’s fate. Miquella’s problem with Radahn is how his dead soul is captive in his mindless body. That’s got nothing to do with the stars.
