Please excuse this comment if you're already aware (it took me a long time) but when you started work on the building around the 10min mark I noticed you weren't using hot keys for some of the actions like inset and extrude, for inset if you press the 'i' key twice it will inset individual faces without the need for opening the context menu. For the extrusion use 'Alt' + 'E' and you can extrude along normals for each individuals face. I'm by no means an expert, but it sped up my workflow considerably once I began utilizing hot keys as I model. Great tutorial btw I love the channel keep up the great work!
Ha! Thank you, I never knew the double tap i hotkey! So useful. Thanks!
this is amazing! I wish more people kinda talked through the thinking process of what they are going to build before they build it - so that when they use the nodes they use, it clicks. Like, ahh yeah, he's using this node to do this specific thing that he talked about. hope that makes sense. almost like writing some pseudo-code for programming.
amazing video though!
edit: my comment make it sound like he wasn't doing this - he is, I wish more people did this, is what I was trying to say.
Awesome tutorial, it's a nice work and so satisfy to see. I want to propose you make a procedural for car tire generator with tread, and other one for the rim and brand side text. Congrats!
omg, my mind is exploding, it's my first video i saw you and I have the feeling that I have been making donuts with a blender for 2 years, in half an hour you have created a Tatooine town while I would be eliminating the cube by default ;D
Thought Id try to be smart by putting the cubes in a collection and dragging the collection in, but the cube weren't being recognized. if you want this to work add a realize instances node in between collection info and proximity nodes. This should help if you want to use multiple cubes without having to drag them all in.
You don't have to click search each time you want to type in the name of a node. Just start typing! (4.0 baby!)
Your tutorials are ones of the best on UA-cam. Thank you!
Fantastic!! Covers so much👍👍
Very detailed! Great tutorial!
0:11 - He just AXed the scene. 😱
great tutorial, more like this please :)
You make this look so easy!
Thanks, man amazing tutorial
Great tutorial have followed along and have it all looking good but the geometry nodes for the sand is recreating when I duplicate the building have watched the last 3 minutes many times just can't figure out what I am missing.
Nice work!!!

Me: "PLEASE NO! I BEG OF YOU!" 😭
But those are not sandstone buildings, but build with bricks of dried mud. Only the plastering with sand gives that appearance. For sandstone buildings you have to look around in Europe. Or just the egyptian ancient buildings as well the sphinx. The depicted houses are from people, not like the building of egyptian rulers from 4000 tsd. Ys ago. But so I suck at higher mathematics.
Meantime someone in Stable Diffusion...
I enjoy the modelling... but I get totally lost in Geometry nodes... I think I just don't have the "Math Brain" for it :)
Who don't like the new modifiers menu 🧐
