At this point, I’ve reviewed a lot of 1440p 144hz+ monitors, some TN, some VA and some IPS, and I’ve claimed “perfection” in quite a few of them, but now I’ve had this, I can’t understand why anyone would buy literally anything else.

The XV272UP comes with a more robust but circular base stand. It also supports pivot, swivel and other movements possible. Also, XV has USB ports too.
This is the best monitor you can get for your money.
This right here! Everything he says in this video plus everything you just listed for same price on Amazon if you catch it right.
@@DJones-tp4yi @sifa Rabby thanks for this comment. i just bought and installed this monitor. Its beautiful!
I was just looking at this monitor on Amazon and was wondering what the catch was so I checked out some videos here. It's now down to £299 from £350. Definitely gonna get one on payday.
Just checked and yep it’s down to £300 but annoyingly it isn’t available again until October 12th.
250
Boys buy it now. It's down to 169 for prime day
The Link brings me to a 1080p version.
After the msi? drama i had to subscribe to a stand up reviewer. Dude good at it too.
Hello. new techtemGB is always owmeyzong.
I just got the new ilyama 34" 144hz ips for £400 and am loving it. Now I just need a new cpu and gpu to get the best out of it 😂
I was looking at this today, on Amazon, the same monitor (hdr 400, 4ms IPS, 1440p etc) is available for £10 less at £349.99 with the 165hz version.
This ones 1ms now for 250
Rtings tested this monitor, they found an average 8.7 ms gtg wich is slow for 144hz , tested with override set to normal since extreme mode is unusable. This monitor deserves its price .
Which would you recommend
I got this monitor on sale in November last year for only £280, a bargain for the quality of it. Loved every moment with it
Do you know if I can use this monitor at 1440p 120hz with Xbox... apparently some only work at 1080p 120hz
@@cra7g686 did you check your Xbox settings?
is this monitor good for console gaming??
@@iblxmezay yes!!! I've been using it on my xbox one and it's smoooooth!
Yes you can do 120 at 1440 I’m positive of it. Set color space to pc rgb on Xbox and 10 bit.
If you want hdr you need to enable vrr on monitor and Xbox. 4k upscale if you like. ( not true 4k but it’ll maximize the pixels on this monitor)
I wonder how this compares to the GIGABYTE G27Q, haven't really seen any reviews on that one, the specs look similar and its a bit cheaper with a better stand
Just bought this monitor for €210! Hopefully it's as good as the review.
really, this goes for 360?
@pilanceboil Yep, very happy with it! It's a clear, bright screen, deep colors, 1440p so way sharper than my other 1080p screen and it supports HDR which I haven't really tested but does work great. If you get the chance to pick this one up for about that same price as I did, you have a great deal!
yea 210evra here also
Watching this review on my Nitro vg271u feels satisfying
Just picked this up for 180 on newegg. First time I looked at a review after

it's been a little while now, have you had any flickering issues of any sort? I've heard a lot about that from this monitor. Great review though!
The innoclux panel is actually one of the best 1440p 144hz panel right now. It doesn't flicker as far as I have seen on other brands' monitors such as benq ex27(something) and so on.
got this puppy vg21u here in india for $210 in the sale rn and im pretty happy about it
I am palnning to buy the same monitor for 155$ can you tell how is your experience with the monitor so far like for playing games work and videos all that

What is the difference between VG270UP / VG271UP / VG272UP ???
The VX272UP has an adjustable stand, like 4 usb ports, and factory calibration. I dont know about the other two.
@@Alexed.w did you mean the vg272up, not the vx272up?
yes I could not find enough reviews on vg272up. I've seen it switch to nano ips like LG and gives 144 hz at 10 bits, but is there anyone who has tried and tested it and is satisfied?
Bonus, has speakers which are not completely terrible which is a nice creature comfort.
How bout the contrast ratio? Below 1000:1 is horrible
Thanks for the review. What about the contrast, black uniformity and black light bleed? It's something that really bothers me.
And one plus thing...AWFUL STAND !!!
yeah I wanted to know too, if only there were VA panels without the stupid curve.
Stumbled across this video.... The day after I bought this monitor. Phew!
How is the experience?
@@DEESHOOM I really like it. Massive upgrade from my £80 1080p/75hz panel. Works flawlessly. Now if you lined up a dozen different 1440p monitors you may notice differences. But it's a thumbs up from me.
@@westleydan0 ok buddy....thanks for the response!
I just ordered an open box version on best buy for $300 Cdn. It's the best bang for your buck out there.
Oops, just realised I got their Acer 27" 1440p WQHD 170Hz version. Pretty damn similar though
Just got one of these today from Argos £229
£169 on amazon uk today only.
Hi TechteamGB, I found i monitor cheaper than the acer with basically the exact same specs and it is the Gigabyte G27Q. I have search the internet for as many reviews as possible and I can barely get any information. If you could review it, it would be greatly appreciated. Nice Video!
I'm not sure if Pixio is available to UK but you can get the same for $50 less, The Pixio PX278.
Its big brother the Acer XV272up its basicly the same monitor with a better stand but is 10€ more
just got this at staples clearance $99....
I have this monitor, and i love it so much, just one problem my GPU doesn't want more than 1 monitor, and i love 2 monitor setup as well. But i'm forced to use only this monitor now.
it's too little for everything use, so will need at somepoint get an 32 or 34 inch monitor.
Found it for £280 on currys! I dont know whether I should cop or wait?.
I paid 269 euros which is 238£.
@@artimiti would you say it's worth 280 though ?
@@rossrichards0n if you can‘t wait then yes. However I wouldnt pay more than 300€ which is about 267 pounds. But still this is a really good monitor. It depends on you. But dont be upset if it suddenly drops in price
@@artimiti why wouldn't you pay more than 300$? Its literally better then the famous LG one
@@resinds.p4898 I would buy it for more than 300 dollars but not for more than 300 euros. You can get this monitor for 300 euro on sales and even less when you use newsletter codes and so on afterwards.
should I rather get this or the msi mag 27 cqr ?
I am a little bit concerned, that the blacks wont look as good on this ips display compared to the va panel.
Can I play it with a console? Because right now I can’t afford to buy a whole set of PC parts, so I’m thinking getting this monitor first. Is that okay?
How is it mate?

Should I
a: Buy the Acer XV272UP for 365, now for the third freaking time because all of them I orded had technical and optical flaws.

Do you know if I can use this monitor at 1440p 120hz with Xbox... apparently some only work at 1080p 120hz
What is the difference between Acer VG271UP and Acer ED270UP. I can buy Acer ED270UP for 250€. Is it worth it ?
One thing u missed in review, with freesync on you can not change overdrive, it sticks to normal which is around 10-11 ms. This was the reason hardware unboxed said they can not recommend this monitor for gaming. I have this monitor and never tested those with 4-5 ms response time. You must have tested both , is 11 ms bad for gaming ? ... How noticable is the difference from 4-5 ms response time monitors ?
I have this monitor. It's great for gaming *without* Freesync or anything but Overdrive put on Extreme. Turning on Freesync, at least with an Nvidia GPU, or any other feature leads to pretty nasty pixel blur, especially with bright colors on the screen.
I haven't seen the HU video, but I imagine maybe that's what they meant. I see no problems using this for gaming at all, as long as your focus is just a good experience without Freesync, with great color representation and viewing angles.
Oh, and if you want to use the monitor with 10-bit color, you have to drop the refresh rate down 120Hz. If you want the full 144Hz you'll need to make sure it's at 8-bit.
Despite those issues, I still don't regret buying this monitor.
@@J_DAZ I have 5700xt with this monitor and I think by default in Radeon software it's set to 10bit , m I running it on 120hz ?
So the 4ms black to white I measured was with overdrive set to normal. Either way, I had a great time with freesync on personally.
@@J_DAZ I just changed colors to 8bit and found motion is more clear now. Was playing apex legends and difference was visible 👍 .... So with 10bit color depth it does not reach 144hz ? That's what u mean ?
@@KartikArora03X This is with Geforce Experience for me, so I'm not sure how it would be with Radeon software. I don't see why it would be different though in terms of refresh rate, so it is possible you're running on 120Hz. To check, go to Start>Settings>Display>Advanced Display Settings (scroll to bottom). That screen should show you your refresh rate and color depth.
Is it compatible with N-Vidia graphics cards? N-Sync?
Which one to go ? Acer VG271U , SAMSUNG 27CJG54QQWXXL OR SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G5 ???????
Edward Snowden doing gaming monitor reviews now
I was checked this exact monitor on Amazon last week, but there are lots of complain about the back light consistency and bleeding?
I've heard about that too, but can't say my sample had much issue with that. Could be a QA issue then?
@@TechteamGB I don't like to be the guy who saying this, but there is a chance for a difference between the randomly bought and sent by acer? I ended up ordering a similar dell with 3 year warranty and next day replacement shipping. Maybe it would be a good idea to order one randomly and test than send it back? That would be really cool to compare them.
There is a reason why backlight bleed is often called "IPS bleed", it's a trait of IPS displays. The X34 also had this issue and I ordered it from a couple of different suppliers and kept the best one. The bleed isn't really noticeable during normal use on that display, but being bigger helps.
I have this monitor and I saw those reviews. I personally don't have those issues at all. Also, be sure to check the models those reviews are talking about. Amazon just throws reviews together for some reason, and not all of the ones you see are for the exact product you're looking for. I don't understand it.
@@J_DAZ how is your experience with this
Stress, reds only coming up in hdr but don't wanna be using HDR mode all the time, struggling to fix this orange thing
Monitor is good but my eyes going red within 10 minutes compare to other monitor why?
Do you have information about vg272up? it is use lg nano ips panel. Is it preferable? I could not find more reviews
Would you recommend this for design and editing, and is it g sync compatible?
Yes it's g sync compatible (use dport)
I bought this, had very small gap between panel and frame at top right, which kind of started from middle of screen, replaced, and the replacement too has gap at top right, is it like that only in this model?
so with the overdrive on normal the response times are still acceptable for competitive fps gaming?
Is this monitor recommendable for xbox series x?
Yeah

if still a help: the one in the video is now 292 on amazon
Got a G7 on recommendation from reviewers, G Sync certification is a joke and it flickers not enough for a rave, but enough to give me headaches. I'm returning it and waiting on a LG 27GL83A-B to arrive tomorrow. I really don't think I'll be getting into the high end monitors anymore and just stick to stuff like this after this mess. Really wanted a ultrawide but I just can't justify the 1k price tag for something like the 34gn850-b right now.
Hi, I’m currently hesitating to by the LG 27GL83A-B and I’ve seen the LG 27GL850-B . They seems really similar...
Have you seen the 850 version and if it does, why did you chose the 83 version ?
Thx for your help 😊
@@doud1158 I'v been trying to decide between the 850 or just getting the Ultrawide which is the 34GN850-B. My line of thought originally was I wanted a monitor for $500. Then I saw the G7 on sale for $650 so I splurged, but regretted after the flickering issue. Then I was debating on just spending the extra to get the ultrawide but its out of stock on Amazon(I get 5% back which would pay the taxes so I could get it elsewhere but points are to good). I have to send this G7 back by the 18th and neither was going to be in stock before then.
The 27GL83A-B restocked for like 5 minutes yesterday which is when I started to compare them. I play games, watch youtube/netflix, and computer programming. So I started to compare the 850 and 83A. Saving you the time basically they are the same thing minus some super bells and whistles which I honestly find kind of meaningless anyway. They are both IPS, 144Hz, 1ms response, g sync compatible. What you are losing on the 83A-B for $130 less is USB ports which are hard to get to anyway. and I don't see myself plugging a mouse or keyboard into it, a computer jack for something like a laptop.
The main thing difference and the reason it's cheaper is the color gambit does not extent to DCI-p3 color space so the backlight is sRGB. Really the only reason for DCI-p3 atm is HDR content. Which I from what I hear the 850 is not great for HDR content anyway since its only HDR-400 on the 850. Basically. Just get the 83A and save yourself some money, HDR is not great on the 850 to the point where you will prob just turn it off + sRGB is the most common color mode atm and content needs to be tailored directly to get anything out of the wider color range of the 850.
end of day3 using Acer KG271U monitor to sum up if you make the mistake of buying this monitor as i have done you will realise you will never see
any image done in ANY and i mean ANY graphics, picture editing program, or video editing program or 3d program as the makers of those programs intended
as all you will see is your fine artwork image/3d render/photo retouch with a permanent glue antiglare speckle patchy overlay stuck on top that doesnt move, its
like you have to look at all of your images thru that glue forever the moment you buy this monitor....the most depressing experience a computer artist will ever
have.. in fact you will have to buy another monitor to know what your artwork actually looks like..my advice dont make the mistake i did.
How does this compare to the pixio px275h? Or the same but cheaper electriq QHD 27?
Does Acer xv272up have the same colorspace of RGB, ADOBE and other?
Is there any cable management?
I bought it yesterday but got the 165 hertz for only 160 I got really lucky
for some reason when i switched from hdmi to displayport i could use 170hz on this monitor which really surprised me

I just ordered and am waiting on delivery for a new ASUS VP28UQG 28" Ultra 4K 60hz monitor that I got on sale for about $210 Cdn. It's not for gaming, it's for my office computer.

This panel is outdated compare to AUO 6.6 panel or LG nano IPS.
The best mid range gaming monitor is S2721DGF(or any monitor use LG nano IPS panel), 331.50 after student discount, 8ms faster response time and wider gamut, 98% DCI-P3
AUO 6.6 offeres 1ms faster response time than nano ips but generally 100 pounds more expensive.
Spending money on VG271UP is a total waste of money, I am also shocked by the review, there are many better options out there and you just recommended a outdated one, if it's at 200-250, it's fine, but for 360, you are out of mind.
