My brother in law rides his bike everywhere. In January he left Kentucky, went to Texas, TN, AZ, here to NV, CA, CO and everywhere in between. He visited family everywhere. He ran out of gas once, a biker in a truck picked him and the bike up, got him gas, fed him and showed him around. Another time on the trip, he had a flat, same thing, the shop had to order the tire so the man that picked him up, put him up for two days, took him sight seeing and took care of him. There are places all over America called Bunk a biker that will let you stay at their place for free. Very nice community.

But they all came out looking very good and that will help them in the longrun. This video might as well be an advertisement for all of those shops. For all of them to be in the video with their faces shown, chances are they signed releases allowing it. The girl backwards in the ai generated cobra was funny. I think he kept those shots upside down to be funny too. Knowing his style . Now if he exposed the dealers to be dishonest , that would have wasted their time and not given a reward. But instead he rewarded them by showing people that they are shops that are honest and trustworthy places that people can be comfortable deal8ng with.

Funny thing is I just got back into bass tournament fishing this year since 1993. Fishing a lake in northern Indiana as a non-boater I witnessed my partner catch two 3 pounders back to back using a KVD 1.0 sexy shad crank bait in 48 degree stained 5 foot water. Now I have a deep diver in sexy shad color and I've never caught anything on it as well. I met my fishing partner at his place and we drove to the lake together. When we got back from the tournament, he wanted to show me how he made some homemade baits. I noticed he had some lures still in their packaging on a pegboard hook that he had been successful with. To my surprise, he had 5 packages of those KVD 1.0 in sexy shad. He touted how much success he's personally had with them. I guess he can say it's his confidence bait. I've personally had more success with a Bandit 200 splatterback. By the way, he won that tournament and all but one this season and is the club's top point leader and he just won the MLF bass tournament on the Detroit River.

After he passed my Uncle took it to his place in Atlanta, Georgia area, where someone thought they needed it worse than our family.
I helped Grandpa restore it and would love to get it back, but we never had any luck finding it again. It was restored back to as close to original as he could remember and traveled the United States to gather parts for it. Frame was black with red tank , there was a couple things that made it a little unique if we ever got the chance to find it again. I always envisioned riding it and displaying it with the 1937 farm pickup , which I have and working on restoring now.

Credit is given where its deserved.
1st associate (Female) Was reasonable and upfront in sharing she had no idea what the motorcycle was worth. In her credit, she offered to have the bike sold under consignment once a reasonable price was determined.
2nd Person: I honestly dont believe he was aware this was a 100K bike, but he was aware it was rare and worth more than 10K. I cant blame him for being uninformed as most Harley guys wouldnt know what a 1930's Harley is worth. To be clear, your not going to open a black book and find a value for something this old.
3rd Person: Totally Professional. He knows this bike is potentially a very valuable bike and wants to determine exactly what he is dealing with before making an offer. It's not uncommon to find bikes modified to look like something their not, and when the small details make such a difference, you want everything to be known prior to offering a deal.
All in all, Moonshine Harley deserves alot of respect in the manner which they handled themselves.
Hopefully, in knowing the bike personally, they contacted the police and asked if there was a case open for a stolen bike.

About 20/30 years ago in Los Angeles a lady was clearing out her father's garage who had recently passed..it was packed with stuff/junk..under all of it was a old car..she called the junkyard and said she wanted it gone..the tow truck from the junkyard showed up and payed her $100 bucks and took the old car..it was all over the news..the father had worked as a security guard in the 60"s for a rockstar..and this Rockstar had purchased 1 of the ford GT 40's that had dominated Europe when ford beat Ferrari in Europe..only a few survived the European circuit..he bought it and drove it as his personal car..he got in so much trouble with tickets and lost his driver's license doing 200 mph in Los Angeles freeways that he gave the car to his security guard who put it in his garage..ya.. that was the car she sold for 100 bucks...the junkyard put it for sale for 1 million..she sued them but was out of luck..she sold it fair and square..

1st girl was spot on, said it was worth a lot, tried to educate the seller, started at $50s'k without even checking it over or looking up lists, offered to sell it on commission (the more they get, the more they make). Dealers have overheads too. 50-70% of list price on a complete unknown, no keys or papers, garage find, non-runner, is a fair offer, when she could really have taken advantage.

That last part didn't feel real, because why not just talk to him and clarify? It smells like there's a beef between the two of them, this 'Jake' and Sean.
Also, using a "100k" bike is too much, because like the last guy, they're going to smell something is up and it goes from earning a good payday to getting cops or feds involved and then you're down whatever you paid for it. There's a difference between trying to scam someone and getting the best deal you can and like it or not, people might even have reasons that necessitate they do it.
Point being... it's not that well thought through :)

I think the 1st girl was a cut above in integrity and helpfulness; but everyone overall was decent, considering having only a rough idea about the bike at first. Even the seemingly lower offers were acceptable; because buyers need to acquire an item with enough meat on the bone in order to make a profit if they resell it; and with anything, there are always the unknowns, that could incure even more unexpected costs when restoring it. These deslers were great; no lies told, no swindles, and great customer service. I'd purchase a bike from any of um, and have confidence in the deal.

Yes another bike rider will stop and help if you are broke down. In 2000 I purchased a new Roadstar for cash had it decked out before I picked it up (pipes, saddle bags, you know the drill) type of stuff. Was taking my girl at the time for a weekend in the Tenn. Mnts. and after stopping to eat the bike would not start. It had less than 600 miles on it and I could not understand what was going on. The starter was spinning but not engaging. I had the starter off in the parking lot trying to figure out what was wrong when another rider drove up in his truck with his family leaving the same eatery and asked if he could help in anyway. I called the local Yamaha dealership and they told me to bring it in it was under warranty so nothing to worry about other than the weekend I had planned being ruined. The man that had offered to help went home and came back with a trailer helped me load it and then took us to the Yamaha dealership. We dropped the bike off and were told that it would take a couple of days to fix. I asked about nearby hotel or motels that they might suggest. Mike (the good guy with the trailer) told us not to worry he had us covered. My girl and I spent the weekend with him and his family at their rented weekend getaway location in the Smokey Mnts. and had a great time. My bike was ready Monday afternoon. With many thanks to Mike for him going out of his way to help, (we became friends that weekend). We spent many other weekends riding together in the Mnts. of Tenn. and Kentucky. Sadly Mike has passed on and I am no longer able to ride due to medical issues and age, but yes bikers do help other riders. Needless to say I rode a Yamaha and Mike was a Harley rider but to us 2 wheels were 2 wheels no matter what brand they were we all understand what it is to be riding, we know why the dog sticks his head out of the car window lol.

You go to a Harley dealer and expect to get ripped off? That is exactly how to deal with them. Every HD dealer I’ve walked in to is hard sell, rip-off priced, and lied to my face. I’m a motorcycle guy and once worked at a foreign brand motorcycle shop. I can chew up and spit out a pushy salesman. Sadly, the average Joe is going to get played. Typical customer will leave thinking they got a deal, but I assure you the salesman got a big commission.
