Craig!! Love to see you enjoying yourself and being in your element working on bikes! Your enthusiasm and passion are super contagious. Brings me back to a year ago when I bought my first bike at age 17, and 2001 Harley Sportster 883. Little did I know that it had "cruise control", aka the throttle return cable was completely broken. Had a lot of fun memories working on that bike, and some not so good ones of lowsiding it. But I'm grateful because it has brought me to where I am today.
I had a 1973 iron head sportster, also right side shift. Had that bike for 30 years. Sold it to a guy in NYC and he’s still riding it. It took me on many adventures, from Georgia to Canada. I moved on to bigger bikes but that was my first Harley. Good memories……

Turned out being a 57 XLA motor and he didn’t even know. Only 418 were made for the army. Still runs like a top. Love these iron heads!!!
Your dad and I did the same thing. I picked my 68 sporty in about 1977. Looked the same 6 inch extended forks, king queen seat. Sold it after our second kid came along to help finance an remodel on our house. Miss that bike glad you got your hands on it again.

I used to run a '93 Evo Sporty, probably a bit more user-friendly than your old-timer. Nice vid, good to see another old one up and running again. In comparison with other bikes I've had, the Sporty always seemed a bit more like an agricultural implement than a motorcycle. Lots of fun, though.
I love those old Iron Heads. Been riding them my whole life. I currently own 1965 Sportster that someone made into a chopper. It was a project when I got it. I had it finished out and it's definitely a fun bike to ride.
I ran my 69 Electra glide with a lawnmower battery for over a year😂 I also have lit myself on fire by standing in front of the spark plug holes.... Fun times
So lucky to have two of my Dad's bikes a 1955 KHK and an 1985 FLHT.... Both keep me connected now that he has passed.....Goodluck with your channel....
It's great to see you getting your dad's bike running. I had a 78 Sportster and love it , I just hated that the engine wasn't rubber mounted. Anything above 60 mph and your teeth would vibrate out of your head. By the way in a new subscriber to your channel and I hope to see more Harley content.
I had the same bikes years ago. I worked on it all summer to make it "semi-road worthy". It vibrated so hard I had to change the bulbs weekly. It would shake the filament apart. It was geared pretty low and reved alot down the highway. I can still find all the spots along the highway it broke down. I loved it.....but lots of maintenance was required.
Craig, Kudos to you on your new channel. Although Sean was the “MC” of B&B’s, you were the substance. Sean is a bit goofy and honestly, not much of a mechanic. I enjoyed your spots on B&B’s when you did the technical stuff. I do wish Sean well but I am afraid he may have ended his UA-cam career without you as co-host. Best of luck to you and much success will come your way. Cheers, William

That was totally cool. I had a 68 Kickstart only Magneto xlch. Willie did from Bakersfield California, to Atoka Oklahoma in January. Guarantee I couldn't do that again. So I can appreciate your Ironhead, and being your dad's come on now. Ride hard die free
I recently bought an all original 1974 (AMF) XLH at an estate sale, perfect paint and decal on the tank, 15K original miles, what a score. Been sitting in a garage for 24 years, rebuilt the carburetor, new battery, fuel, fired right up.
Dang, we'll done. Now I'm inspired to get my old 1978 ts185 running. Been on the bench for 15yrs... i did a full engine rebuild, but stopped at the oil injection pump hook up and cables for some reason...etc.
I miss riding with my dad on his 83 fxr . We would go to bike week in Daytona , man was it loud no baffles and with motor work... And the candy blue paint job... Miss those days.
I learnt to ride on the road on a mates Sportster. No license, no insurance and i put about 40 miles on it on sunny sunday. Years before offroad (field's) i learnt to ride on a DT175 (similar to your IT175). Fun bikes, fun times.
Amazing video Craig. Reminds me of my first bike I baught when I was 13. It was a yamaha TS50, had no clutch or starter. Just put it in neutral, run, jump on the bike and drop a gear. It ran 100% like that in the bush for nearly a year till my friend ran it like a 2 stroke and blew the motor. Oh the good old days

Congrats Craig, must feel good to recover your dads bike. Can’t wait to see what you do with it
This new channel is the best thing that's ever happend to Craig. I always wanted more Craig and we have it now. This channel is going to the moon!!
Love that you have your own channel and it was great to see you get your dad's old Harley back and running. Interesting motorcycle.
I’m saving money to buy a bike. 3 more weeks and I’ll have 4k. My mom is so sad and mad at me cuz I don’t help her out anymore. Please pray for my mom cuz im tryna save money for me. But in 4 weeks I’ll help her out again 😢
Bless you 🙏
Rest in peace.
How did it go?
@@arthurbttf I got it when it was perfect.. now the headlights are dented and sattle bag is torn. I wrecked it twice. Now I need 800 to buy a new headlight. But I can’t save money so I give it to my mom. Maby soon I’ll fix it. But I still ride it everyday
@@rayslife4k It all works out in the end! I have a GN125 that takes me anywhere, cheap and quick
That was totally cool. I had a 68 Kickstart only Magneto xlch. Willie did from Bakersfield California, to Atoka Oklahoma in January. Guarantee I couldn't do that again. So I can appreciate your Ironhead, and being your dad's come on now. Ride hard die free
God is king.
Deities most likely don’t exist.
There is no god
So is prince Charles
Wonderful job getting the Iron Head on the road again, I'm sure your Dad is smiling🤗
17 years ! You are one cool dude. Thanks for teaching me
Great job showing people in a fun way how to troubleshoot an old engine !! Love it
Nice find!
My first bike was 74 sporty. Always had to specify Early 74 for parts. It was first of the 1000cc, and the last of shift on right.
I recently bought an all original 1974 (AMF) XLH at an estate sale, perfect paint and decal on the tank, 15K original miles, what a score. Been sitting in a garage for 24 years, rebuilt the carburetor, new battery, fuel, fired right up.
What a great story. I hope you and your dad enjoy this bike and the memories you will have.
I'm happy you found your Dad's bike. Not too many people can find the things they let go of. And congrats on your channel.... I'll be watching.
Right On, Stay Safe on the old girl, even though you didn’t see oil on the dip there was no doubt oil in the sump enough to get home with.
I have two ironheads 1970 XLH 900 and 1972 XLCH 1000, both I have build from the ground up. so good to see you playing with one!! Go man go!
I’d bring her back as close to stock as possible but that’s just me. Super cool that you knew of the bike all these years and it came back to you.
I learnt to ride on the road on a mates Sportster. No license, no insurance and i put about 40 miles on it on sunny sunday. Years before offroad (field's) i learnt to ride on a DT175 (similar to your IT175). Fun bikes, fun times.
Love that rolling on a piece of your family history that has to feel great , very Kool. Made me feel good for you.
I was smiling from ear to ear when I found out it was your dads bike originally, I can totally understand your passion for the bike.
11:06 that is awesome, that is the same mindset that i have, i would like to be able to get my own house, and keep my family fine, but not selling my bikes, congratulations for that mate! this is inspiring greetings from Mexico!
I've got a '68 XLH just like this one and you're right about the brakes, they're what I call anti-lock brakes, they will slow ya down a little...
Another great video. It's very satisfying to watch these old bikes come back to life.
I love that tank and the fact it's your father's bike makes it special i always saved my dads old Harley
Love seeing someone put some time into those old ironheads. They all need it.
Just what we like and appreciate. A down-to-earth video of a common guy feelin proud to get a part of American history running again
Awesome to see you found the bike and got it going. Sure your pops will be in shock and happy to see the ole girl again. Many good rides ahead hopefully. Love them old ironheads
Awesome that found your dad’s bike and that they finally sold it to you. Sad that it sat up for nearly 20 years, but I’m sure you will make some great memories of your own with it. Loving the channel.
So few people get to start a channel with the kind of experience you've gained over the past few years, and then almost instantly grab 60K subscribers and have your, what, second video? Get 1/2 million views in a week. That's quite a boost and a testament to your personality and the quality of your friendship with Sean. Congrats, happy for you. -some random dude on the internet
Just inherited my dads 67 sportster xlh. Looks similar to that one so ur helping me out with a checklist of stuff on top of a few minor parts i need to order. Sentimental value for sure
Without a doubt one of my favorite videos ever.
Love the Hero pegs up front, You could stand on those hook your knees in the handlbars and have a Titanic moment
Man that’s awesome buying your dad’s old bike back
