Every time I feel down or hopeless, I watch this. Even tho this was made years ago, I still get shivers down my spine, I’ve watched this like 20 times, thank you.
You know, I'm an aerospace engineer student, my dream is to become an astronaut. I just also happen to be Dominican so, my chances are rather slim to not say zero. But watching this video just makes me feel like I'm suited up listening to the "T-10" right as I head for space, you make it feel possible for at least an instant; what I mean by all this is thank you very much
@eduardoortega5903 I'm two years late to this reply but I hope you're still chasing your goal! I found what you said to pretty funny because I'm also a Aerospace Engineer Student who wants to be an astronaut, and Dominican/Italian lol. May our goals happen!🙌
I have no words for this that can describe how much I love this, it just takes my breath away. I've always looked up since I was a kid and I still do now and this just encapsulates all that I love about space.
As a fellow space dreamer, I was quite touched by this. Also, fantastic work as always. You continually demonstrate some true skill in being creative VFX. Please keep it up, quite inspiring! Would be super curious to see a breakdown of ur VFX
This just might have been the most beautiful piece of cinematography that I have ever seen, every shot was a masterpiece! What lenses and camera's did you use?
+Taz Olson Thanks so much for that incredible comment! it means a lot, I'm so glad to even achieve a percentage of that. I shot most of it on the Sony A7S with the Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5 Lens and the Samyang FE 50mm f1.4 Lens
Sony a7s and a prime lens, makes sense. You got some truly beautiful shots there, I thought for sure that it would have used a more expensive camera and lens, quite impressive. I can't wait until I have the time to look into the rest of your stuff including the vfx breakdowns for this.
Hi VFX, just wanted to let you know this is amazing and I play it 10 times a day. That’s not even an exaggeration. Thank you for this creation, it is one of the best things I have ever seen.
This is such a motivating video, and should get more views! I've always loved space, astronomy, aviation and everything else, and I'll try my best to achieve my goal one day in future! Thankyou so much for making such great videos❤
Wow... just wow! This is just amazing how visually amazing you can make a peice look!!! You can create so much emotion in just a small 2 minute film. That is just stunning and I can't wait for these peices and yourself to get shared around! People seriously need to start knowing you Ryan! Great work!!
When I lose hope, when I think I cannot achieve my goals, I watch this... And I'm motivated like no other. I've literally watched it like more than 50 times... 🔥 it's like this video lights a fire inside me.... I just wanna say thank you for this ❤️
Thank you for this. Whenever I feel like giving up on my physics homework I think of this video and how it made me realize my passion for astrophysics, thank you very much.
JFK........Isa..RIP Sir! Listening to his motivational & empowering speech more than 50 yrs ago, gives me the impression that he was truly a man ahead of his time.😪😪❤❤
As a child I loved space. Everything was just so beautiful and interesting. So I decided I would be an astronaut. I was so serious about it when I was a kid. I can't explain how much I loved it. I wanted to go to the moon. Then it was announced a while back that NASA was no longer sending people into space. My dreams were crushed. That was all I wanted to do (now of course I was a little kid and didn't know much about the real world). But now, because of things like these, I want to be a filmmaker. I'm 15 and working hard at it.
+Hi Im Craiggerz NASA among other space agencies still sends people into space to work on the Internation Space Station (ISS) and may as well send people to the Moon again sometime in the 2020's.
Hi Im Craiggerz dafuq dont give up , just apply to nasa, spacex, blue origin, esa etc. We maybe be slowing down but don't misinterprate the silence before the storm as permanent.
I appreciate that you wrote this 4 years ago. I hope that you become that film maker, work hard at it and make a decent amount of money, don't be silly with your health, live below your means, regularly invest a decent portion of your earnings in index funds, be careful to be tax efficient (IRA or in the UK ISA) and with time let compounding interest grow your money. Then pay attention to what space companies like Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin and of course, SpaceX are doing. Within a year their first astronauts will launch to space for around $250K each (VG and BO), expensive but it won't always be that way, give it 10-20 years and it will be the price of a new Mercedes. Prepare for it now, and there is a chance that you can one day fulfill your dream of going to space. This is my 'why', and it makes life and work so much more enjoyable, that there is even the possibility of going to space makes this an incredible time to be alive.
Ryan, this was phenomenal. Beyond words. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece, it's truly awe inspiring. Kudos to Benjamin as well on the score. You've both earned a forever fan.
This is a magnificient achievement - from the concept/script to the shot selection from archive footage and execution of the VFX - brilliant - well done - I understand you are 22 years old, which augers well for your future -
Electrical Engineer & EHS Lead in Pharma from professio, Stargazer from passion ... this gave, gives and will give me goosebumps, the motivation to go on against the wind and hope for a better future
Greed and laziness made us forget the true meaning of what it means to be human. Our ancestors, united in order to survive, and later on, used those bonds to travel beyond the horizon into uncharted lands. Now we fight each other endlessly, and are content into standing still on our own. The only way for us to survive the next thousands of years, is to once again unite, look up to the sky, and wonder about our place amongst the stars. Instead of looking down, and worrying about our place in the dirt. We are explorers.
Holy crap, the amount of chills I got from watching is out of control! Absolutely one of the most beautiful and moving pieces of work I've ever seen here on youtube! Well done! Also people should remember that the lunar landings weren't only an achievement by the US, but by Mankind in total.
Wow! At first I thought this video was only an edit of stock footage, but now that I've seen your VFX breakdown, I want to tell you good job!! That's amazing and just by seeing it we can tell you've put a lot of time and love into it! You are a really great artist!
One of the most incredible things my eyes have ever seen! You my friend have a gift and your passion, dedication and hard work show so magnificently in this piece of art. Truly amazing and I'm just blown away.
this brought to tears , my alll time dream became very clear now , thank you , you may have just changed my life , I'm making a huge goal to myself , I will be one of the human beings that will be going in the BFR for SpaceX in 2022 , I'm filled with motivation and inspiration . thank you
Wow that is incredible Miguel, so happy for you and that this film helped in anyway, I wish you the best of luck and above all hope you enjoy it and have an amazing experience!

It fills you with a sense of wonder and hope. Kennedy was a dreamer to made people feel those things.

I know humanity is so messed up but this amazing side of us makes me speechless.

The open road still softly calls like a nearly forgotten song of childhood: we are wanderers.
1:26 hits me hard and makes me think about life more
Every time i struggle with physics and calculus i watch this video.
Tears every time...

Well, if they do send someone to the moon in 2020, it'll be a first! Haha
Hi Im Craiggerz dafuq dont give up , just apply to nasa, spacex, blue origin, esa etc. We maybe be slowing down but don't misinterprate the silence before the storm as permanent.
Hi Im Craiggerz - maybe with Trump creating a SPACE fleet you can do both - a film maker for them?

Benjamin Squires I believe it was called Recoil ! "RECOIL -- Trailer for short film - hardboiled detective / femme fatale film noir"
I wish we could end our bitterness between countries on Earth and unite on a mission to explore the beyonds as one nation of humans.
Motivated the hell out of me. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Let’s go…
Masterpiece

Probably just assholes who made an entry in about 2 hours and send it to the competition but don't want anyone to win
+ByrdFilms Dude, there's dislikes on pretty much every video on UA-cam. Ignore them, the ratings are already really great :)
probably flat earthers
people who think we should solve problems on earth first before leaping forward - also those people; Forgetting that one single roid might one day end it all, on this blue marble.
Let those people hate, and let us dreamers reach new heights that they will never reach because of their shallow minds
