EXPLORATION is an inspirational piece reconnecting history with the present, mainly focussing around the Apollo 11 mission of the late 1960's. Showcasing the passion and drive man has always had to touch the stars. JFK's famous Houston College speech serves as a motivational narration accompanied by my own footage as well as NASA's incredible archive imagery

You know, I'm an aerospace engineer student, my dream is to become an astronaut. I just also happen to be Dominican so, my chances are rather slim to not say zero. But watching this video just makes me feel like I'm suited up listening to the "T-10" right as I head for space, you make it feel possible for at least an instant; what I mean by all this is thank you very much

I have no words for this that can describe how much I love this, it just takes my breath away. I've always looked up since I was a kid and I still do now and this just encapsulates all that I love about space.

This just might have been the most beautiful piece of cinematography that I have ever seen, every shot was a masterpiece! What lenses and camera's did you use?
+Taz Olson Thanks so much for that incredible comment! it means a lot, I'm so glad to even achieve a percentage of that. I shot most of it on the Sony A7S with the Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5 Lens and the Samyang FE 50mm f1.4 Lens
Sony a7s and a prime lens, makes sense. You got some truly beautiful shots there, I thought for sure that it would have used a more expensive camera and lens, quite impressive. I can't wait until I have the time to look into the rest of your stuff including the vfx breakdowns for this.

As a child I loved space. Everything was just so beautiful and interesting. So I decided I would be an astronaut. I was so serious about it when I was a kid. I can't explain how much I loved it. I wanted to go to the moon. Then it was announced a while back that NASA was no longer sending people into space. My dreams were crushed. That was all I wanted to do (now of course I was a little kid and didn't know much about the real world). But now, because of things like these, I want to be a filmmaker. I'm 15 and working hard at it.
+Hi Im Craiggerz NASA among other space agencies still sends people into space to work on the Internation Space Station (ISS) and may as well send people to the Moon again sometime in the 2020's.
Well, if they do send someone to the moon in 2020, it'll be a first! Haha
Hi Im Craiggerz dafuq dont give up , just apply to nasa, spacex, blue origin, esa etc. We maybe be slowing down but don't misinterprate the silence before the storm as permanent.
Hi Im Craiggerz - maybe with Trump creating a SPACE fleet you can do both - a film maker for them?
I appreciate that you wrote this 4 years ago. I hope that you become that film maker, work hard at it and make a decent amount of money, don't be silly with your health, live below your means, regularly invest a decent portion of your earnings in index funds, be careful to be tax efficient (IRA or in the UK ISA) and with time let compounding interest grow your money. Then pay attention to what space companies like Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin and of course, SpaceX are doing. Within a year their first astronauts will launch to space for around $250K each (VG and BO), expensive but it won't always be that way, give it 10-20 years and it will be the price of a new Mercedes.
Prepare for it now, and there is a chance that you can one day fulfill your dream of going to space. This is my 'why', and it makes life and work so much more enjoyable, that there is even the possibility of going to space makes this an incredible time to be alive.
As a fellow space dreamer, I was quite touched by this. Also, fantastic work as always. You continually demonstrate some true skill in being creative VFX. Please keep it up, quite inspiring! Would be super curious to see a breakdown of ur VFX

Still don't understand why people dislike videos its like really here's something someone worked on for too long and you come along and dislike it for no intentional reason.... but however everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

I wish we could end our bitterness between countries on Earth and unite on a mission to explore the beyonds as one nation of humans.

Greed and laziness made us forget the true meaning of what it means to be human. Our ancestors, united in order to survive, and later on, used those bonds to travel beyond the horizon into uncharted lands. Now we fight each other endlessly, and are content into standing still on our own. The only way for us to survive the next thousands of years, is to once again unite, look up to the sky, and wonder about our place amongst the stars. Instead of looking down, and worrying about our place in the dirt. We are explorers.

I did use this video for my presentation which is about AI mission in Space Exploration. Gotta say, when it came to the video, I was excited. Before launching the meeting in class, I had watched this many times during our practices, but every time I saw it, I’ve never stopped focusing on the video. It’s so meaningful and attractive that nobody should ever skip the video. The images, music, and President JK’s voice as well as his speeches, every thing involved in this video made it perfect to inspire the next generation in space exploration mission. It’s nice to see such a great video like this ❤️🔥 “the exploration of space will go ahead, and it is one of the great adventures of all the time”

Why am I crying? The human soul feels depths it does not understand and longs for unknown realms that deny reason itself. By this logic it implies we as a being are destined to walk behind the stars, because boundaries mean nothing to passion. We seem to be longing for a lost home that understands our need to make ourselves more than we were.
