SpaceX Falcon Heavy- Elon Musk's Engineering Masterpiece

  • Tens of thousands of spectators made the pilgrimage from across the country & 22 million people around the world on UA-cam witnessed the thunderous roar of the SpaceX's new 23-story-tall jumbo rocket as it has blasted off on its first test flight, carrying Elon Musk’s red Tesla sports car aiming for an endless trip past Mars.
The Falcon Heavy rose from the same launch pad used by NASA nearly 50 years ago to send men to the Moon. With lift-off, the Heavy became the most powerful rocket in use today, doubling the lift-off punch of its closest competitor.
Within three minutes, the Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters separated from the central rocket in one of the most critical points of the flight. Some eight minutes after launch, a pair of sonic booms rocked the area as the two side boosters set down in near synchrony on two landing pads.
Flying atop the Falcon Heavy is SpaceX & Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s cherry-red Tesla Roadster, carrying a passenger-sort of. SpaceX revealed last weekend that a mannequin wearing the company’s new spacesuit would ride in the driver’s seat of the electric sports car ,nicknamed Starman.

Its normal to cry when humans make a leap in science. Imagine future humans living on other planets and moons. They'll look back and feel very proud of what their ancestors did. They might even watch this video and cry lol Ours is the greatest story ever told. We evolved and colonized this planet. Now were getting ready to colonize space and other planets.

Think also of all the great minds that made this possible. Take Isaac Newton as an example. He lived 350 years ago, yet his discoveries are still essential in every engineering field (calculus is a big effing deal).
I don't mean to downplay the achiventments of SpaceX in any way. But I would give almost anything for the people who layed out the ground work for this 400-300 years ago to see this. I hope they would be proud of us.

When I feel an attack coming I usually retreat to my bedroom, lie down, concentrate on my breathing and play this on loop until I can come back to reality and face the world again. This superb testament to mankind's ingenuity and boundless quest to just know why, where, when ,how and can we do it gives me me hope and I can get back up a face the world again for a little while. Anxiety can be so overwhelming sometimes but Elon and his youthful, wonderfully enthusiastic employees give me hope every day.

Typically it's very hard to see a launch from here but because of an extremely clear sky, southern trajectory and the night background it was a spectacular sight. The orange expulsion was fascinating but after a couple of minutes it just looked like an orange dot moving slowly across the sky. Only made me wish I could have seen it up close.

because millions of people are starving on the planet, because millions of consumers pollute the planet every day with useless actions. Why spend millions, billions of dollars. to get out of the earth, which will only benefit a FEW, because we shout and rejoice, when we fail to save this planet, and protect their inhabitants from drugs, war, hunger, power. BECAUSE YOU ALL HAVE EYES, and rejoice for useless things, which will not be of any use in your real life, but only to those who will benefit from it in another planet. only for a few.
