Very true, when we feel like he has given his career best performance, he comes up with a movie, a notch above the previous one. He is just outstandingly brilliant actor. The only other actor I feel could be compared with Fahad is Ranbir Kapoor especially in Wake up Sid, Rockstar, Barfi and Tamaasha.

I don't think anyone in the current generation,in any language has his range or has experimented as much as him.

Ranbir has fallen prey to this maze. Sorry buddy, but I have to totally disagree with you if you are questioning Ranbir's acting talent. I guess you have missed some of the movies from Ranbir's filmography. Rocket Singh, Rajneeti and Roy. Are few more movies which proves his versatility. Fahad's performance is great BUT there are a number of other things in this scene that are just fantastic. - Soubin's reactions are just incredible. They're so true to the emotion and the character. So real. As they say, it is the reactions that make for a compelling performance than the action itself. - The camera work. A normal audience might not notice it, but there are so many lens changes in this small little scene that elevate it. Shifting between long lenses to create a cramped atmosphere and ominous presence, wider lenses to create distances and choice angles to create the tension in the scene. Plus, catch this, a place full off mirrors, must've been such a headache to shoot it. - The set design, red masculine, with a logo taken care of 'S" - a man who is self obsessed. Excellent stuff. Never seems exaggerated, natural but does it's work. - Finally a subtle but impactful move, to delay the music. A lesser director would underscore the conversation between Fahad and Soubin with a music track. Make it caricaturish. Here the intentions and personality of Shammi's character are revealed along with music which elevates a seamless performance by Fahad where he breaks into laughter. Great film. Great scenarios. Very well executed on multiple levels. I saw it only once, but watching this scene alone brought back so many images. That is the strength of good storytelling. Love it. Will rewatch soon.
