As a teacher, let me just tell you that "gym" is in fact the correct answer. Art involves a lot of preparation (depending on the type of art), but it does come second here. Music would be third, but history is extremely difficult, because without studying it properly, you need about 2 hours of research for every lesson if you want to adequatly put things into context. I say that as someone who studied their first language and mathematics to teach - both of which are also rather time consuming without the proper education beforehand.
Musical instruments are usuallt expensive and requires you to be bombarded with dissonant notes all day. Music is so cool but idk if Id want to drag the tonedeaf through it every semester lol, sorry kids

I’m an art teacher and I love it but it’s SO HARD 😭😭😭😭 I teach with materials out of a 25 pound box I have to carry/set up/clean up from classroom to classroom!!!! The students all either put in less effort than other classes or they are way overly critical of their work! It’s teaching self esteem as much as all the skills, plus it’s the class where students try to act out the most in 😭
